Edinburgh Oasis fans make desperate plea with crowd after Murrayfield proposal
A loved-up couple who got engaged during the Oasis gigs at Murrayfield have made a desperate plea with fellow crowd members.
Soph was proposed to by her partner during the show on August 9, at the second night of the Britpop band's visit to Edinburgh. While he was too nervous to ask anyone to take photos, they're now asking any fellow crowd members if they managed to take a snap.
The couple were close to the front, on the left hand side of the stage. Photos or not, they say it's a 'night to remember forever'.
Posting to TikTok, Soph said: "When your boyfriend proposes at Oasis during Champagne Supernova...
"But was too nervous to ask anyone to video/take photos (understandable). Hopefully with the power of TikTok we can find out if anyone managed to take any photos/videos of it happening.

While the bucket hat is hiding her reaction, Jodie clearly says yes and pops the ring on. The whole time, she doesn't let her beer out her hand - and is committed to not dropping it.

'I adopted abandoned dog and one heartwarming gesture made it all worth while'
Mark adopted the dog who was left abandoned on the streets then named him Dexter, now the rest is history. He shared his heartbreaking story in a post on TikTok Sadly the many stories of abandoned dogs is all too common. Often dog shelter workers might find a microchip inside an animal, while another might be rescued from a Lidl car park. Either way, there's a new heartwarming story every day and this latest one might just make you tear up. Mark opened up about the heartbreaking story in a lengthy post on TikTok under the account soulpaws_tails which allows people to share their own case. It all begun when he saw a photo of the dog, who was unnamed at the time and nearly placed on the euthanasia list. But Mark saw a picture of the pup who "looked very sad and thin" then named him Dexter. At first, he didn't have a name because no one wanted to adopt him. After being found in the streets of Georgia, US, in 2019, and arrived at the shelter about 10lbs underweight with half his fur missing due to fleas and sun damage. Dexter was house trained and knew basic commands so he most likely had lived in a home before. In the clip, which garnered 6,100 likes, Mark revealed: "In the southern US, bully breeds like pit bulls, sadly have a very low chance of being adopted and once they're added to the euthanasia list, their fate becomes even more uncertain. "Dexter had been at the shelter for weeks without a single inquiry, then a rescue group called Fly With Me noticed him and decided to step in." Mark also recalled the first moment he met Dexter, one that changed everything for him. "He jumped all over us like he'd known us forever," he admitted. "Most rescue dogs need time to adjust but Dexter felt calm and at peace." He added: "From the very first moment he came home, he bonded with our cat Zoe incredibly fast, he's so gentle with her, they're always sleeping next to each other. "At first I planned to set some ground rules, like no dogs on the couch or the bed, but guess you broke that rule within just two or three days, yep me. "My fiancé still teases me about the day she came home to find me and Dexter napping on the couch together, he's the friendliest dog I've ever known, but sadly we've also encountered some judgemental people." Discussing one heartbreaking moment, Mark revealed how an elderly woman warned him: "That creature is going to attack you in your sleep one night," a sentence which stuck with him for so long. But none of it mattered to Mark as their bond is "unlike anything" he ever experienced. Along the way, Mark even faced health struggles where he was diagnosed with Lupus and developed a blood clot in his right leg. Mark explained: "We've been fight through everything together to me Dexter's like a therapist. "He's so in tune with my emotions that even if I don't say a word or move a muscle he somehow knows when I'm stressed. "He quickly walks over, lies down on my lap and just like that everything gets a little bit easier. "Dexter's energy has made me a more active person too, we go to the beach together, he runs like crazy and digs like he's on a mission. "Sometimes he even sprints through the hallways at full speed and he absolutely loves jumping on the bed." Since the video was shared, people were left touched by Mark's kindness. One said: "He's beautiful, thank goodness you found each other."

Mum walks into local charity shop and is floored by price of designer top
A woman was left gobsmacked when she went into her local charity shop and found a designer jacket that was so cheap in comparison to what she could resell it for Charity shops can be so exciting, as you just never know what items you're going to find. The possibilities are endless, and some are well known for being stocked with designer gear. But when one woman saw the price of a well-known designer top, she couldn't believe her eyes, as they're reselling second-hand for almost £200. Emily, who posts on TikTok as @thriftingwithem, shared she had an "amazing find at the charity shop," saying she couldn't believe it. She noted that "as per usual, there were some stunning pieces" she found, but there was one top she couldn't stop thinking about. The mum is a reseller, so she will purchase things from her local charity shop at the reasonable price they command, and then she will sell them on at a higher price. She shared she managed to bag some Tom's espadrilles for £5.99, and then later sold them on for £20 when she took them home, photographed them, and put them up on the app. "I sold them within 10 minutes of listing them on Vinted," Emily boasted. Emily then showed off a dress that still had the tags for a tenner, which was "still on the website for £79," and a sweet Ted Baker dressing gown for £7.99. She found a Diane Von Furstenberg dress for £24.99, and it can resell, according to Emily, for around £150. There was a new Topshop dress for £5.99, and she said she "loved" it, and with the retailer having a resurgence on ASOS thanks to Cara Delevingne, it's likely a good time to purchase this brand. A Sea Salt Cornwall dress also caught her eye for just £7.99, and there was a Next denim top with a sweet frilly collar for £4.99. "But this is where it gets interesting," she continued, as on the video she pulled out a black top, which turned out to be the designer brand Off-White. "I found an Off-White jacket for £6.99. If this is real, there is one selling online at the moment for £180," she gushed, asking people to tell her whether they thought it was authentic or not. Emily also noted if this jacket was purchased brand new with tags from the retailer, it would've cost over £400. In the comments, some criticised her for reselling items from a charity shop, but Emily defended herself, saying the shop "knows" that she's a "reseller". Someone wrote: "Sorry, just to get this right, you buy stuff from a charity shop, and then sell it again at a higher cost for personal gain?" A TikTok user said: "From what I can see that [the Off-White jacket] looks legit." Lots of other people agreed.

Noel Gallagher 'sparks hopes for a new Oasis album after being inspired on the band's reunion tour'
Noel Gallagher has reportedly been inspired during the Oasis tour and has written a number of new songs for a potential Oasis album. The singer, 58, is currently on tour with brother Liam Gallagher and hasn't decided yet if they will perform the new music together. Noel, who also fronts High Flying Birds, is reportedly debating whether to keep the tracks for a solo album or join forces with Liam again to released a new Oasis album. An insider has told The Mirror: 'Noel has been inspired by playing to adoring crowds, who have supercharged his creativity. But he is undecided whether his work will become a new album for Oasis with Liam on vocals.' Noel is said to be 'waiting to see how things play out' on tour but so far is said to be in a 'fine mood'. But the source revealed: 'Noel has been in an absolutely fine mood. He's also been strumming some new tunes in his dressing room. But, from what he has said, these tracks are not yet aligned for any project. 'There is no Oasis studio return as yet agreed by the band, and they still have a long way to go. Things are great now, but who knows what will happen given the brothers' past troubles on the road.' Daily Mail have contacted Noel's representatives for comment. Oasis split in 2009 after the brothers had a huge fall-out. But they announced last year they would play together again and kicked off their tour in Cardiff in July. They stand to make £50million each if they can keep the peace on their travels and have so far stayed away from each other off-stage. And according to reports the brothers have since been hit with huge offers to extend their comeback to next year, including four massive shows at Knebworth House. The gigs would mark the 30th anniversary of the Britpop legends' 1996 history-making concerts and would see Noel and Liam top Robbie Williams' record of three nights at the Hertfordshire venue. Rumours have also swirled about a potential residency at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium, with fan forums buzzing and fake posters doing the rounds online. However, those close to the band insist no deals have been signed and there are no concrete plans for 2026. A source told The Sun: 'They've seen the speculation, they've heard about the offers and they know what the fans want.' They added that the reunion has become 'a cultural movement' and the brothers must now decide whether to close the book on their epic comeback or keep the magic alive. They said: 'It's ultimately up for them to decide. The Oasis reunion hasn't just been concerts. You can see that it's been a cultural movement. Nothing comes close in recent history to Oasis's shows. 'It's a question of whether Noel and Liam want to draw a line in the sand and close the door on this chapter, knowing they captured the zeitgeist. Or do they strike it up again and keep the magic going? It's a difficult decision to make.' The Daily Mail has contacted Oasis representatives for comment. It comes after Liam launched a scathing attack on Edinburgh Fringe - the world's biggest performing arts festival - claiming it is a celebration of 'thick s***'. The 52-year-old rock star tore into the event during his band's opening show at Murrayfield Stadium. He told 70,000 fans the city's arts festival bonanza just involved people 'juggling f***ing b******s... swallowing swords' and 's****y card tricks'. Moments after stepping out on stage Friday's gig, Liam Gallagher said: 'What about Edinburgh council, the f***ing s***s. 'The amount of money we're going to bring in, they'll split with their posh, ugly mates. Still waiting for a f***ing apology.' After a brief pause, he then rounded on the Fringe festival, saying: 'What's happening in Edinburgh then? What's all that thick s***? 'People juggling f***ing b******s and that? Swallowing swords... one-legged bicycles. What's all that s*** about? S****y card tricks?' His comments came after bosses at Edinburgh council branded the band's fans as drunk, fat and middle-aged and could deter performers away from attending this month's Fringe festival. The brothers have also reportedly been recently warned to keep their of views of Donald Trump to themselves to avoid jeopardizing Oasis's US tour. The rockstar brothers, about to embark on a come-back tour of Canada and the States, were advised to 'stay out of American politics'. Liam once called the US president a 'd**k' while Noel labelled Trump's environmental politics as 'pretty f***ing scary'. But top showbiz manager Jonathan Shalit told the DailyMail: 'My advice to Oasis is simple: stay out of American politics. 'If they want their US tour to go ahead without disruption, it would be wise to keep quiet on all things Trump.'
