Gisele Bündchen, one of the most iconic supermodels of all time, has always embodied beauty, success, and confidence. But behind the glamorous façade, the Brazilian star has faced deeply personal struggles — including a cosmetic procedure she later came to regret.
While Bündchen continues to thrive as a wellness advocate and author, she hasn't shied away from being honest about the moments of insecurity that shaped her journey.
Gisele Bündchen opens up about plastic surgery regret
In her 2018 memoir, Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, Gisele Bündchen revealed she had breast augmentation surgery in 2015 after feeling self-conscious following childbirth. The model explained that after breastfeeding her two children — Benjamin in 2009 and Vivian in 2012 — one side of her chest appeared noticeably different.
'All I wanted was for them to be even and for people to stop commenting on it,' she told People magazine.
To maintain her privacy, Bündchen traveled to Paris and wore a burqa to conceal her identity. But her feelings after the procedure were anything but empowering. 'When I woke up, I was like, 'What have I done?' I felt like I was living in a body I didn't recognize,' she admitted. For over a year, she dressed in oversized clothing to hide her discomfort and emotional distress.
Although her then-husband Tom Brady supported her, the decision haunted her for years.
No longer chasing perfection: Gisele Bündchen turns to nature, balance, and mindfulness
Now 44, Bündchen embraces a very different philosophy. She speaks openly about her commitment to natural beauty, wellness, and inner peace. 'I believe that outer beauty is a reflection of your inner balance and peace,' she said in an interview with Allure, emphasizing her preference for healthy routines over cosmetic fixes.
Rather than chasing youth, the former Victoria's Secret Angel believes in aging gracefully.
She sees wrinkles and lines as markers of a well-lived life. 'Aging is a beautiful thing and a natural part of life,' Bündchen shared. 'But it can also be challenging.'
Her daily routine includes meditation, fitness, hydration, and organic skincare. She swears by coconut oil, rose water, lavender, and serums made from natural ingredients. 'It is very important to drink plenty of water and eat food that comes from the earth,' she told Vogue France.

NFL legend Brandon Jacobs is videotaped training with his son Brayden, a freshman offensive lineman at Clemson

(Image via Brandon Jacobs X: Brayden Jacobs working out with his father Brandon Jacobs) On July 2, Jon Blau, Clemson Athletics Reporter at The Post and Courier, shared NFL legend Brandon Jacobs' workout video. Blau captioned it: 'A reminder that Brandon Jacobs was a bruising 6-foot-4, 264-pound running back in the NFL. Reminder necessary because his son, Clemson freshman Brayden, makes him look like Darren Sproles. ' Darren Sproles is a 5-foot-6 former running back for the Philadelphia Eagles. Jacobs' son Brayden not only made him look like Sproles but also made him wait for his turn. The NFL legend was doing an advanced level of rope sit-ups, and his son was probably tired of being the rope! Why? Because he held that rope underneath his feet! Still can't picture it? Check out this video: Fans reacted to New York Giants former running back Brandon Jacobs' workout with his son, Brayden One fan wrote, 'Remind me, is his son an RB too?' - hinting at another legend in the making. While another fan commented, 'OMG what does his mother look like?' - wondering if Brandon Jacobs is 6-foot-4 and he looked like Darren Sproles before his son, Brayden, then his mother? She could or would be tall too. Another fan chimed in, 'Moms gotta be a WNBA player.' A third fan pictured Brayden Jacobs walking down his father's footsteps by playing for the New York Giants, 'Future LT or RT for the @Giants.' A fourth fan called him a computer-generated imagery - 'He looks like CGI.' A concerned fan enquired, 'What on earth did you feed that boy growing up?' A fan hunted down Brayden's profile from the Clemson Tigers' official website and wrote, '6'7'. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Искате да научите повече за новото BMW 2 Gran Coupe? He would play college football as an offensive lineman. One fan watched the father-son workout video and took it at face value, leaving a hilarious comment: 'His son looks like he was dragged into playing football instead of staying home and gaming.' But that couldn't be the case. On July 2, Stephen Douglas of Sports Illustrated reported that Brayden will be a freshman offensive lineman at Clemson this fall. What is Brandon Jacobs doing now? In June 2021, the 2-time Super Bowl Champion, Brandon Jacobs, shared with Dan Benton of USA Sports, 'I'm currently coaching high school football and running a youth program, which I'm perfectly content with doing the rest of my life.' Kate Middleton has returned to public life with a visit to a hospital in Essex, where she spoke honestly about how tough her cancer journey has been, even after her treatment ended, according to People. On July 2, the Princess of Wales visited the well-being garden at Colchester Hospital. During her visit, Kate helped plant "Catherine's Rose," a new pink flower named in her honor. The plant is being shared across hospitals and gardens around the U.K. to promote healing and support. Kate, 43, shared that the period after her treatment has been harder than many might expect. "You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment, treatment's done, then it's like, 'I can crack on, get back to normal,' but actually, the phase afterward is really, really difficult," said Kate, according to People. Kate's visit came shortly after she missed attending Royal Ascot with Prince William, something she was reportedly disappointed about, reported People. Sources close to the royal family said she is taking things slowly and balancing her health with her duties. Her visit to Colchester Hospital is seen as another gentle step back into her public role.
