I was in the audience for You Bet! - Stephen Mulhern showed his true colours when the cameras stopped rolling and one key part of the show is totally fake

Another brand-new series of You Bet! is set to air on ITV with host Stephen Mulhern at the helm.
And now, someone who managed to secure a spot in the audience has revealed what the TV presenter, 48, is really like and what goes on behind the scenes.
They told the Daily Express: 'Stephen was lovely. He made sure to go and greet every single audience member and allowed time for selfies and a quick chat.
'It seemed like he really cared about his fans and, despite a busy filming schedule, he still made time for everyone who showed up.'
The fan went on to explain that there was one thing, however, that did surprise them.
They admitted: 'As someone who is never on a TV set, I quickly learnt that there are some parts added in for dramatic effect. For example, the presenters were filmed giving several different reactions, as were the audience.'

The audience member added that they were asked to boo, clap, and cheer even while nothing was actually happening on the show, and it seemed like it was recorded so that editors could 'cut it and pop it in wherever they pleased'.
They also noted that Stephen and guests cheering while nothing was happening left the audience 'a bit perplexed' but then they realised it was a little bit 'fake'.
However, despite several elements of the show reportedly being 'faked', the audience member admitted that they still had a great time and can't wait to see 'how things are changed' once the episode airs on TV.
MailOnline has contacted ITV and Stephen's representative for comment.
The gameshow sees ordinary people with extraordinary skills take on major challenges in front of an audience in different areas around the country.
The new series will consist of six full-length episodes, and an additional Christmas special will be filmed in Cambridgeshire.
Speaking about the upcoming series, host Stephen said: 'I'm absolutely thrilled that You Bet! is back - and this time we're hitting the road!
'Each week, I'll be joined by a top celeb panel, as our challengers take on some brilliantly bonkers and amazing challenges.
'With the title of You Bet Champion on the line, it's going to be unbelievable from the start.'
It comes after ITV suspended the filming of new game show You Bet! last month after a car fire caused havoc on set, MailOnline revealed.
Host Stephen was shooting a special Emmerdale segment of the returning hit series in Yorkshire when two fire engines were called out after a vehicle burst into flames.
The blaze subsequently spread to prop vans used by the show's crews, destroying thousands of pounds worth of equipment, forcing bosses to abandon filming.
An eyewitness said: 'It was carnage.
'The blaze just started from a random vehicle, which then resulted in vans used by the crew also go up in flames.'
'There was obvious panic, and it's a miracle nobody was harmed.
'The fire started within close proximity of the soap and thankfully didn't spread inside where filming takes place.'
Stephen paid a visit to the Emmerdale set, which is filmed on the grounds of Harewood House, near Leeds, to shoot a challenge which will appear on the upcoming new series of You Bet!
Commenting on the fire, a spokesperson for You Bet! said: 'Following an incident that was unrelated to filming, production for You Bet! was suspended as a precaution.
'The situation was promptly assessed by the fire services and no one was injured or affected.
'The health and safety of all individuals involved in the making of the programme remains our highest priority.'
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire Service added, 'We were called at 15.57 on Friday to reports of a small vehicle on fire on Harewood Avenue.
'We sent two crews, Moortown and Wetherby.
'On arrival, this was found to be two vehicles on fire, which crews extinguished. No reports of any injuries.
'The cause has been recorded as accidental.'
You Bet! previously ran from 1988 to 1997, and former hosts have included Bruce Forsyth, Matthew Kelly and Darren Day.
The new series will take place outside of the studio for the entirety of each episode, with celebrities including Zoe Ball, Rob Beckett, Alex Brooker, Rylan Clark, Alesha Dixon, Alison Hammond, and Danny Jones joining Mulhern across on location.

Lionesses hero reveals burning ambition to star in reality show like I'm A Celeb or Dancing on Ice

LIONESSES hero Chloe Kelly has revealed she has a burning ambition to star in I'm A Celeb or Dancing on Ice. On The Lionesses Podcast, Kelly, whose penalty winner against Italy in the Euro semi-final this week secured the team a place in the final, said she would 'love' to appear on the shows. The 27-year-old praised retired England legend Jill Scott, 38, for winning the 2022 series of I'm A Celeb, but doubts she could match her exploits. She said: 'I don't think I would do as well. "Jill's so bubbly and the challenges didn't phase her.' While discussing the potential of appearing on the reality dance show, she revealed she 'can't ice skate". But she added she 'can learn' the skill. The Arsenal star also revealed she wore custom shin-pads when playing for the club last season. One featured Chloe and her husband Scott Moore on their wedding day. The other showed her dog.

Tens of thousands of people take to streets for London Trans+ Pride 2025

More than 100,000 people took to the streets for London Trans+ Pride 2025 on Saturday, making it the biggest such event in the world, organisers said. The route wound through the centre of the capital's most famous sites, taking in Regent's Street, Piccadilly and Trafalgar Square. It concluded at Parliament Square with speakers including Heartstopper and Doctor Who actor Yasmin Finney. The event's theme was 'existence and resistance' in response to the UK supreme court ruling in April, which said the legal definition of a woman is based on biological sex. Lewis G Burton, one of the founding members of London Trans+ Pride said: 'This year's London Trans+ Pride made history once again, with over 100,000 trans+ people and allies marching through central London – smashing our own world record of 60,000 and continuing our legacy as the biggest trans+ pride event in history. 'It was an emotional and powerful day. At a time when the supreme court is making sweeping decisions about trans people without consulting a single trans person or organisation, and when a small, well-funded lobby of anti-trans campaigners continues to dominate headlines and waste public resources, our community came together to show what real strength, solidarity and care looks like. 'I feel honoured to have platformed some of the most inspiring activists, organisers and trans people from across the globe. London Trans+ Pride was a vital act of resistance and joy – a reminder to trans+ people that they are not alone, that they are celebrated, and that they belong. 'The message was clear: we will not be erased. Our existence is natural, historic and enduring. You can try to take away our rights, but you will never remove us from society. We are a part of humanity – and the public will not stand by while harm is done to our community.' Meanwhile, in Berlin, tens of thousands danced to techno beats to celebrate the German capital's Pride parade, one of the largest LGBTQ+ celebrations in Europe. The parade took revellers past the iconic Brandenburg Gate and through the Nollendorfplatz neighbourhood, home to the city's gay culture. German news agency dpa reported that a rightwing counter-demonstration featured 30 to 50 protesters. Six people, including the protest's organiser, were arrested on their way to the demonstration for alleged weapons and explosives violations as well as for displaying anti-constitutional symbols, dpa reported, according to the Associated Press. Amsterdam Pride saw thousands of people march in a festive and political mood, as they emphasised the need to defend LGBTQI+ rights, which are increasingly under threat around the world. Organised by the Pride Amsterdam foundation, the march, whose theme was 'love', kicked off a week of festivities in the Dutch capital, which culminates next weekend in a huge parade on the city's famous canals, AFP reported. 'People are not so aware about the march, because it has turned into too much of a party and does not so much focus on why we do it,' said Ben Thomas from Amsterdam, 44, who teaches young refugees. 'We're not just here to party, but we're here to be equal citizens. We're here for our rights.'

Kelly Osbourne pays tribute to dad Ozzy Osbourne by sharing heartfelt video as family mourn rock icon

KELLY Osbourne has paid tribute to her dad Ozzy Osbourne by sharing a heartfelt video. Rock icon Ozzy, 76, died "surrounded by love" at his multi-million-pound mansion in Welders, Buckinghamshire, on Tuesday. 7 Since then, Kelly has been remembering her dad with a series of heartfelt posts. In one video, the singer could be seen sitting around the kitchen table with family during Ozzy's final days. In another, she shared the lyrics to Changes - the Black Sabbath track that she and Ozzy famously re-recorded together in 2003. On Saturday, Kelly uploaded a third moving clip from the 2018 series Ozzy & Jack's World Detour, showing a sweet moment between father and daughter as they sang and danced together in a truck. The video showed Kelly in the driver's seat of a huge HGV, which the pair were using on a road trip. As Ozzy climbed in, Kelly told him: 'I've got this song in my head, I'm gonna have to play it for you.' She then pressed play on George Ezra's Paradise. Ozzy looked slightly confused as he heard the song for the first time, but as the chorus kicked in, a smile spread across his face. The pair began dancing in their seats, moving their arms, shaking their shoulders and enjoying the moment. As Kelly started driving, she said, 'I love you,' and without missing a beat, Ozzy replied, 'I love you more.' Oasis pay poignant tribute to Ozzy Osbourne as 'Rock N Roll Star' appears on screen at Wembley in emotional song Ozzy was seen having breakfast with his family in one of Kelly's touching videos. She originally shared the video with fans on her Instagram story on July 20, two days before the musician died. It showed Ozzy using a tablet whilst sat at a table with his youngest daughter and her two-year-old son Sidney. Kelly said: "Good morning", before panning the camera to her father, who is wearing a pair of headphones, as she says, "Dadda, say good morning". Ozzy leant forward and replied: "Good morning." Kelly then turned the camera onto selfie mode and said: "Say good morning Lou!" Louis Osbourne, Ozzy's lesser-known son from his first marriage, then came into shot waving and grinning. Before tying the knot to Sharon, Ozzy had married his first wife Thelma Riley in 1971 after meeting her in a Birmingham nightclub. Together, they welcomed children Jessica and Louis, who have been largely away from the limelight. Louis also attended Ozzy's final Black Sabbath gig just weeks ago, and called the show "mindblowing". Ozzy passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday morning, after bravely battling against Parkinson's disease. Thames Valley Air Ambulance said that a crew had been dispatched to provide "advanced critical care". The helicopter landed in the grounds of Ozzy's mansion and it is reported the specialist paramedics were at the scene for two hours. Tragically, they were unable to save the rock legend's life. Ozzy became known as the "Prince of Darkness" in his six-decade career thanks to his on-stage antics that attracted a legion of heavy rock fans. Only three weeks ago, Ozzy gave us one last hurrah when heavy metal royalty descended on Villa Park to pay their respects. The Back to the Beginning gig ended with him - seated on a giant black throne because he could not stand - joining his Black Sabbath muckers on the songs that took him to the world stage. 7 7 7 7 7
