Endeavour star looks VERY different 13 years on from his debut on ITV detective drama with beard and cropped hair - but do you recognise him?
Whereas fans know him as a fresh-faced inspector with tousled locks, he now steps out with a coarser look, sporting an all-black ensemble and moody sunglasses.
He made his first ITV appearance in 2012, and starred in the very well received Endeavour for an impressive nine seasons before its conclusion in 2023.
The 45-year-old is set to star in the upcoming ITV spy thriller Betrayal, where he plays a troubled MI5 officer named John Hughes.
The four-part series explores the 'emotional and professional strain of modern intelligence work, particularly on relationships' as John's covert operations and personal life begin to unravel.
But can you guess who it is?
The actor is none other than Liverpool-born Shaun Evans, who played Endeavour Morse in the titular ITV drama.
The father-of-two was pictured filming in Rusholme, Manchester, looking worlds away from his days as the sullen but charming Endeavour.
In a black puffer jacket and straight-leg jeans, Shaun was captured grinning on set alongside crew members.
Betrayal will see Shaun play a spy who was at the forefront of the war on terror. Now in his mid 40s and married with two kids, he's finding it difficult to adapt to modern security threats.
But when he impulsively gets himself involved in a dark scheme, he'll have to redeem himself to save his career and reputation - all while struggling with the mental health effects of his murderous actions.
Shaun has also played Coxswain Elliot Glover in BBC One's Vigil, and real-life murderer John Sweeney in ITV's Until I Kill You.
This summer is ramping up to be an exciting one in British TV, with new dramas and reiterations of popular pre-existing series set to hit screens in the coming months.
Line of Duty is one beloved programme that is 'definitely coming back' for a seventh season, according to a lead actor in the hit BBC drama.
Northern Irish actor Adrian Dunbar, who played Superintendent Ted Hastings in the show, confirmed the much-loved series will be returning to UK screens.
Fans have been begging for another installment for years, and Adrian has previously hinted at another run, but now he has spoken more definitively.
'Oh, it's definitely coming back,' the 66-year-old told the Sunday Telegraph. 'Some time next year. We're just waiting for the BBC to announce it.'
He continued: 'I know Jed [Mercurio] is writing. And Martin and Vicky [Compston and McClure, who play Hastings's anti-corruption colleagues, Steve and Kate] are very keen.'
And in a separate interview with The Times, the Enniskillen native said: 'We're really excited about getting our hands on a Line of Duty script, to see what happens to us.
'We've talked to the BBC. It is down to the BBC to make an announcement, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that next year we'll be working on a new series.
'No doubt Jed will think of some interesting twists and turns. We are as much in the dark as you are.'
Adrian suggested that viewers were drawn to the series, and to his straight-laced character in particular, owing to a time of political instability during Covid.
When the news of Partygate erupted - the political scandal that saw Tories dancing and drinking during a state-imposed lockdown - Adrian believes fans sought solace in Ted Hastings.
He told the Belfast Telegraph: 'When the Tories were dancing and having parties, people saw Line of Duty and thought "Surely somewhere there are people who, despite what it might mean to their careers, are willing to do the right thing?"
'I think that's why so many people gravitated towards Ted.'
According to The Sun, the cast will start filming the new six-part installment next January when their other commitments have come to a close.
A TV insider told the publication: 'This is the news Line of Duty fans have been waiting for since the sixth season left them deflated when it aired back in 2021.
'The BBC almost immediately requested more episodes to continue the story, but the success of the show meant Vicky, Martin and Adrian were instantly snapped up for other projects.'

Wednesday to Hunting the Yorkshire Ripper: the seven best shows to stream this week
It's a new term at Nevermore, and for the first time in her life, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) is dying to go back to school. After all, she's a minor celebrity now and dealing with autograph hunters ('I only ever sign my name in blood. I never said it was my own blood'). However, things are about to get much worse for Wednesday. Like every kid, she dreads the arrival of her family at school, but not only are her parents around more – her troublesome brother Pugsley and formidable grandmother Hester also soon become fixtures. Once again, it's stylish, smart and witty. However you feel about Tim Burton, it's hard to argue that his maximalist gothic style isn't absolutely perfect for this material. Netflix, from Wednesday 6 August The crimes of Peter Sutcliffe (and the flawed police investigation) have proved irresistible to documentary-makers, with the BBC and Netflix recently offering up versions of events. In truth, this latest series doesn't add much to our understanding of Sutcliffe's crimes, though it does broaden to examine the infamous 'Wearside Jack' tape that was sent to police by a man claiming to be the killer. Former DCS Chris Gregg – who assembled a team to catch the hoaxer – is interviewed about his career-long involvement with the case. Prime Video, from Sunday 3 August As represented in TV dramas, cold cases are often glamorous and mysterious. This documentary series shows the reality is sadder, if frequently no less intriguing. It focuses on the work of the DNA Doe Project, a US organisation that, in partnership with law enforcement agencies, uses detective work and genetic investigation to offer the relatives of some of the estimated 50,000 unidentified bodies lying in American morgues a measure of closure. It's a necessarily melancholy affair but also somewhat stirring in its depiction of tireless, valuable service. Disney+, from Wednesday 6 August A third series for this accomplished animation that follows the exploits of the Prouds, an upwardly mobile African American family who mix cartoonish hijinks with strong, slightly earnest moral messaging about identity and hot-button social justice issues. Trudy is worried about screentime and it isn't just her kids who can't put down their phones – her husband Oscar is hardly setting a good example. Cue a decision to live more consciously and to take a family holiday to London, Paris and Nairobi that becomes life-changing for everyone involved. Apple TV+, from Wednesday 6 August Sign up to What's On Get the best TV reviews, news and features in your inbox every Monday after newsletter promotion The chemistry between Seth Rogen's Will and Rose Byrne's Sylvia continues to underwrite this profound comedy. The series doesn't just tell us that deep, platonic friendships between men and women are possible – it shows us. It's hard to avoid the feeling that Will and Sylvia have more fun together than with anyone else. And that's the whole point: shouldn't that be enough? As we return, Will is preparing to marry Jenna but admits to Sylvia that he has a crush on someone else. The fear that it might turn out to be Sylvia herself soon passes but, even so, is this another symptom of Will's inability to commit to adult life? Apple TV+, from Wednesday 6 August Most people would probably agree that the absence of a gameshow for cats and their owners is a glaring omission from the TV schedules. So thank goodness, finally, for House of Cats, a three-parter of snappy episodes which is hosted by comic Ivo Graham and social media personality, and qualified veterinary surgeon, Cat the Vet. Fittingly, there's no hint of a cash prize here; instead the winning partnership will take home a golden litter tray. Given that cats are notoriously much harder to organise than dogs, they will have certainly earned it. Channel 4, from Thursday 7 August From Walter Presents, this daft but moderately creepy mystery drama from France stars Fantine Harduin as the titular teenager. When Promethea is hit by a car, she eventually wakes from a coma with no recollection of anything but her unusual name. Gradually, her memory starts to return but that proves to be a mixed blessing as a series of disturbing revelations about an unsolved recent murder start to spill out. At first, it seems that Promethea might have witnessed this killing – but could her involvement have been even more hands-on? Channel 4, from Friday 8 August

Lucy Spraggan ‘clashed heads a bit' with boxer Conor Benn on Celebrity SAS
Singer Lucy Spraggan has said she 'clashed heads a bit' with boxer Conor Benn during her time on Channel 4's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. The 32-year-old singer, who made her name on ITV singing show The X-Factor, will appear in the military reality show's latest series when it airs on Sunday at 9pm – having watched it 'avidly' and written about it in her diary when she was younger. Advertisement Spraggan said she ended up befriending Benn, and became so close with drag artist Bimini Bon Boulash, former Love Island star Adam Collard and Michaella McCollum, who was jailed for smuggling cocaine in Peru with Melissa Reid in 2013, during her time on the show, that she invited them to her wedding. The singer, who is best known for her songs Last Night (Beer Fear), Lighthouse and Tea And Toast, said: 'To be honest, it was mainly Michaella, Bimini, Troy, Adam (that she got on with best) but I also got on with Conor too, although we did clash heads a bit. 'It was only to do with him not really liking direction and I was picked to direct one of the tasks. 'I thought Adam was such a great guy. As a woman, when a man really makes you feel comfortable around them, he was that for me the whole time. Adam, Bimini and Michaella came to my wedding after the show.' Advertisement Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins sees celebrities enter SAS training, where they are not eliminated and are instead culled by the directing staff or able to withdraw themselves, with those who remain at the end declared the winners. Fellow contestant Chloe Burrows, best known for finishing second on Love Island series seven in 2021, described her time on the show as 'hell on earth', and added that she 'wasn't in great nick going in'. The 29-year-old said: 'It lived up to my expectations, but in my wildest dreams, it was much more intense, much more straining. 'It was so much more intense than I thought it could be, but because of all the stuff you don't see on camera, if that makes sense. Advertisement 'I would actually love the opportunity to give it another go. I know Pete Wicks has given it another shot. If I did I would say to my management I need a month off and I'm going to train, get SAS ready beforehand.' Benn, who is the son of former boxer Nigel Benn, said he was inspired by his father's time in the military to join the programme, and added that the only thing that would have scared him on the show was spiders. He said: 'It definitely lived up to my expectations. It was very real. It was brutal, intense, can be mind-breaking. 'But in a weird way, if you sort of ride the storm, you find yourself and find out what you're about, who you are. I find out who I am when I'm in the ring with another man. Advertisement 'Whereas for the other celebrities, who don't have to go to that place to really find out what minerals they're made of, this is the perfect test. They can find out if they're strong and put their resilience to the test.' The rest of the recruits will be made up of former footballers Adebayo Akinfenwa and Troy Deeney, TV dancer Louie Spence, Strictly Come Dancing 2025 runner-up Tasha Ghouri, former The Traitors winner Harry Clark, singer Hannah Spearritt, model Rebecca Loos, and rapper Lady Leshurr. Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, airs on Channel 4 at 9pm on Sunday, and will continue on Sundays and Mondays throughout August.

Mrs Brown's Boys makes return to BBC tonight as controversial show divides viewers
It's the shows that divides the nation. Mrs Brown's Boys is back for a new series - whether you like it or not... The garish opening theme titles of Mrs Brown's Boys (Friday, BBC1, 9.30pm) will either spark joy or set your teeth on edge - it's the return of the Marmite show that splits the nation. From the moment 'Mammy' (Brendan O'Carroll) appears like a Pantomime Dame in her floral dress and cardigan, millions of viewers fall about laughing. The other half of the nation scrambles for the remote and switches off immediately. For every person who loves the crude innuendo, toilet humour and expletive-filled slapstick, there is another who would rather gouge their eyes out of their head than watch a single second. As this four-part series arrives, you can expect more of the same. Agnes continues to meddle in the lives of her nearest and dearest, with plotlines including helping Winnie to pass her driving test and Agnes discovering a passion for erotic fiction. Meanwhile Grandad has SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and won't move out of his chair, while Buster (Brendan's son Danny O'Carroll) tries to start a new dog walking business. The jokes are so well signposted that the studio audience is ready to cheer or boo at every line, with bloopers kept in for extra gag points. There's also the usual monologue message at the end, with a wink to camera. In this episode, Agnes unwittingly becomes the subject of a new podcast, sending her daughter Cathy (Brendan's wife Jennifer Ann O'Carroll) into a tailspin. Agnes says of the podcast: 'Who in their right mind is going to listen to that? What a load of Sh***!'... an observation that some viewers of this sitcom may well relate to. Mrs Brown's Boys is airing on BBC One tonight at 9.30pm There's plenty more on TV tonight - here's the best of the rest...
