The entire run of 'Twin Peaks' was just added to a streaming service you've probably never heard of — here's where to watch all 48 episodes now
It's the 35th anniversary of "Twin Peaks" this year, with the first episode of David Lynch's acclaimed mystery-horror drama premiering back on April 8, 1990. To celebrate, the streaming service Mubi has added all 48 episodes of the series — 30 episodes of "Twin Peaks" and 18 episodes of "Twin Peaks: A Limited Series Event" (also referred to as "Twin Peaks: The Return" or "Twin Peaks" season 3) — available to stream right now. If you haven't heard of Mubi, that's understandable. It's not currently on our list of the best streaming services, though we're planning to review it for consideration later this year. But I've been a Mubi subscriber for a while, and it's probably the best streaming service you've never heard of. Especially for cinephiles who love indie, arthouse and foreign films. So, for those who aren't familiar, let's dive into what "Twin Peaks" is about, why you need to watch it, and why Mubi is worth signing up for to stream the iconic series right now. "Twin Peaks" and its follow-up, "Twin Peaks: A Limited Series Event," are, for the most part, about the investigation of the murder of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee). The shows are set in the fictional Pacific Northwest town of Twin Peaks, and stars Kyle MacLachlan as FBI special agent Dale Cooper, who is tasked with investigating the local teen's untimely demise. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. It's tough to pin down a genre to define this show. It's a mystery show, to be sure, but there are elements of soap opera campiness and melodrama as well as plenty of surrealist horror. Because the series was created by and directed by David Lynch, it often takes on a more cinematic presentation than the typical TV show. The pilot was a two-hour-long feature film. Despite these quirks, or (more accurately) because of them, the show was a massive critical success. Season 1 earned 14 Emmy nominations and season 2 earned four more, while also winning several Golden Globes. "Twin Peaks: A Limited Series Event" was similarly critically successful, earning nine Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe nomination for MacLachlan's reprisal as Dale Cooper. It's safe to say that, unless you've already seen "Twin Peaks," you've never seen a show like "Twin Peaks." As of today, you can stream all eight episodes of "Twin Peaks" season 1 on Mubi, including the feature-length pilot. You can also stream all 22 episodes of season 2 and all 18 episodes of "Twin Peaks: A Limited Series Event," which is set 25 years after the events of the season 2 finale. Mubi is a great way to stream some lesser-known movies. Specializing in indie, arthouse and foreign films, it has a deep library that is a cinephile's dream. And now, it even has "Twin Peaks"! You can get Mubi for $14.99 or get Mubi Go in select cities for just $5 more, which gives you a curated movie ticket to a local cinema every single week. Sign up now for a seven-day free trial! Now, it's important to note that you cannot watch the prequel movie, "Fire Walk With Me," on Mubi. You need to head to Max for that. Nor can you watch the deleted scenes compilation film "Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces." You'll need to head to The Criterion Channel — another underrated streaming service for cinephiles — to watch that movie. But beyond the three seasons of "Twin Peaks," there are a lot of great movies to watch on Mubi. We've even covered a few of them here at Tom's Guide. Last year's hit body horror movie "The Substance" is available to stream on Mubi right now, as is the hilarious documentary "Grand Theft Hamlet," which covers the attempt to recreate Shakespeare's "Hamlet" entirely within the game "Grand Theft Auto Online." So head over to Mubi and get yourself a membership now. It comes with a seven-day free trial in case you decide it's not for you or you binge through the entire 48-episode run of "Twin Peaks" in a week and decide you don't need more than that. Stream "Twin Peaks" and "Twin Peaks: A Limited Series Event" on Mubi Malcolm has been with Tom's Guide since 2022, and has been covering the latest in streaming shows and movies since 2023. He's not one to shy away from a hot take, including that "John Wick" is one of the four greatest films ever made. Here's what he's been watching lately:

Sydney Sweeney Reveals Glen Powell Helped Her Land a Gig
Sydney Sweeney couldn't stop fangirling over Tate McRae as she gushed about how Glen Powell helped them connect. The actor revealed that Powell helped her land the gig with McRae on her new music video during her recent appearance on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show.' The host, Clarkson, teased the subject, questioning Sweeney about how she nabbed the opportunity to work with the singer, prompting her to rave about her former co-star's role. Glen Powell played a major role in Sydney Sweeney and Tate McRae's collaboration in 'Miss Possessive.' During her appearance on Kelly Clarkson's talk show, Sweeney lavished praise on her 'Anyone But You' co-star for helping her connect with the singer. In the episode, Clarkson seemed too curious about the duo's iconic joint endeavour in the song, triggering the discussion about Powell's involvement and how it possibly couldn't have happened without him. 'You were on a Tate McRae song, how did that happen?' the host asked Sweeney, who was thrilled to answer. She revealed being McRae's and her music's 'huge fan,' but admitted to not knowing her before that. 'I think she's so beyond talented, and she's so hot,' the Emmy-nominated star raved about the singer, ultimately dishing that Powell 'connected' them. She explained, 'He was like, 'Hey, Tate wants me to connect you two. Can I give her your number?' I said, 'Yeah sure.'' Acknowledging Glen Powell's role in the collaboration, Sydney Sweeney shared that Tate McRae reached out to her soon after. The latter reportedly requested a sample of her voice for her latest album. Both Clarkson and Sweeney unanimously agreed that it was 'so cool' she got to work with the musician, and all fans have Powell to thank for the epic collab. 'Miss Possessive' is the opening track of the 'So Close to What' album. It features a brief portion with Sweeney, saying, 'No, seriously, get your hands off my man.' The revelation came days after Powell's rumored ex, Gigi Paris, seemingly broke her silence on their highly publicized breakup. Paris appeared on the 'Too Much' podcast and talked about a former boyfriend without taking names, revealing she knew exactly when to walk away. Originally reported by Nikita Mahato on Reality Tea. Shameless fans buzzing as East Lancashire star make hilarious TikTok debut
Shameless fans are celebrating after one of the show's most iconic stars, Alice Barry, made her hilarious debut on TikTok. The Burnley actress is known for playing Lillian Tyler, a fan-favourite character who owned a brothel on Shameless' Chatsworth estate. Alice's first video has, at the time of writing, amassed more than 500,000 views. In it, she gets into the character of Lillian as she gets 'set up on TikTok'. In the video the former St Mary Magdalene's RC Primary School pupil said: 'TikTok!? We aren't going to get any money out of TikTok. I thought it was OnlyFans.' As well as skits, she has also answered questions left by fans. One TikTok user asked her how she landed the Shameless job. Alice, who still lives in Burnley, said: 'When I went for the audition, it was for a nun. We did the audition and it went well. 'Paul Abbott [creator of Shameless] said 'you were very good but you haven't got the part... but I would like you to come in on Shameless as Lillian, I think you'd be alright'.' Alice Barry (Image: TikTok/@alicebarryofficial) Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, Alice said she was surprised that her TikTok account amassed more than 41,000 followers. She said: 'I had been asked to join TikTok for a long while now and I said no – eventually I gave in and said I would give it a go. 'I didn't realise that I now have more than 41,000 followers I did not expect to get that many followers. 'All of the comments have been so nice, telling me I haven't changed one bit [since starring in Shameless]. Another said I am the Queen of TikTok and Queen of Shameless. 'I can easily get back into the character of Lillian at any moment.' Alice, a former Coal Clough Secondary School pupil, said it's great that so many people still love the Channel 4 show despite ending in 2013, adding that it may have garnered a younger fanbase since being added to Netflix. Alice, who grew up in Haslam Street in Gannow Top, has promised fans more Shameless content and skits in the future. She said: 'It is still on and people are still watching it on Netflix. It's great that the show still has such a strong fan base. 'Wherever I go people still recognise me. If I go for a night out, people still want photographs, which I don't mind. 'I was on Shameless for all of those years, and it was a really good experience.' As well as TikTok, Alice has also launched a Cameo page, where fans can request personalised video messages. Alice, who is in her 70s, said she also has meet and greets planned, including one on June 28 at The Heartbeat Vehicle Rally in Goathland. She said: 'I already have four gigs on Cameo [and I think that is because of] TikTok – they keep coming in.'
