'5 star' Christopher Nolan movie fans can't stop watching is airing on BBC tonight
A "spectacular" action blockbuster from Christopher Nolan is set to broadcast on BBC One, which means viewers can also watch it without charge for a limited period on BBC iPlayer.
The visionary filmmaker is renowned for his brain-twisting sci-fi epics Inception and Interstellar, as well as reimagining Batman for cinema audiences in The Dark Knight trilogy.
Remaining one of Hollywood's most commercially successful directors, he even succeeded in delivering a breathtaking cinematic thriller to cinemas during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tenet became 2020's fifth highest-earning film despite lockdown limitations, and has subsequently gained even greater popularity through an expanding devoted fanbase.
Whilst it may not rank among his most critically acclaimed works, currently holding 70 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes, it remains ideal Friday evening entertainment when it broadcasts tonight at 10:40pm, reports the Mirror.
The critical consensus for the production describes it as "a visually dazzling puzzle for film lovers to unlock, Tenet serves up all the cerebral spectacle audiences expect from a Christopher Nolan production."
One reviewer's assessment states: "It is easy to sit back and revel in the wonder of the big-screen experience, and to immediately want to see the film again. And again."
Numerous fans have awarded Tenet five-star Google reviews as well, including this cinema enthusiast who enthused: "Mind bending awesome movie. Designed for multiple viewings.

The Silence of the Lambs was released in 1991 and despite its older release, remains a popular choice with fans. Starring two time Academy Award winners Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins, the film follows FBI student Clarice Starling who is assigned to help on the search of a serial killer. She soon seeks the help of Dr Hannibal Lecter *the cannibal* who is held in a maximum security hospital. Dr Hannibal Lecter is a character created by American author Thomas Harris and has featured in the 1986 film Manhunter, but his appearance in The Silence of the Lambs is arguably the most famous adaptation. Both Hopkins and Foster bagged Oscar awards for their performances, with Hopkins scooping the Best Leading Actor award and Foster clinching the Best Leading Actress accolade at the 1992 ceremony. It also nabbed the coveted Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay awards. And the film remains a hit with fans with many describing it as a "masterpiece" and a timeless classic". Joanna Page admits one experience on Welsh beach made her reconsider living in England
Actress Joanna Page has opened up about a personal predicament following the conclusion of Gavin & Stacey and her contemplation of relocating her family back to Wales. The 48-year-old star confessed she had considered the move after taking up surfing and feeling remarkably energised by the activity, sparking thoughts about whether she should uproot her family from England. Joanna, alongside husband James Thornton, whom she wed in 2003, shares four children: Eva, Kit, Noah, and Boe. Reflecting on the experience with womanandhome, Joanna remembered: "Over the summer, I did my first-ever surfing lesson in Wales. I came home so invigorated, I wanted to move to Saundersfoot, thinking, 'It's about time I went back to Wales. I want to surf and live on the beach.' "Then trying to put that into action with four children who've never lived in Wales and are very settled into their school is difficult! Now I just want to continue surfing whenever I can. It's good for the mind as well as fitness." Beyond discussing relocating her family westward, Joanna also revealed she has occasionally pondered adopting another child, reports Wales Online. Despite having her "tubes tied," she has explored the possibility with James as she remains deeply maternal. Joanna elaborated: "I've been thinking about fostering or adopting. Joanna Page has previously hinted at a move from England to Wales. Earlier this year, during her BBC One show Wynne and Joanna: All at Sea, she confessed that she had discussed the idea with James. During the programme, she revealed: "It's made me think, why am I not living by the sea? I've already spoken to James and I've said to him, 'that's it, I'm done.' "I had to move to England for drama school and I've lived there ever since. It's time. It's time to go home! I am from the sea, I'm from the sea, and I need to be back here." "I am so excited to go back home and see everybody, and just to bring both the old me and the new me back home, and just go, 'come on! Let's live by the sea, let's do yoga on the beach' – that's what I want to do now." In addition to discussing her feelings about potentially adopting, Joanna also shared how liberated she felt being away from her children while filming the final Gavin & Stacey episode. She said: "Every night, I was in bed by 10.30pm because I was so excited to have a hotel room and bed to myself... I'd climb into bed, lie on my back and spread out. It was heaven! "I was away from the children and wasn't being Mum, having responsibility for everyone and just doing all the cooking. "Mentally, I created some space to relax and have a bit of time for myself to breathe and sleep. That made me feel really quite good, coming home and feeling that I'm not just Mum, I'm Jo as well."
