Miranda Kerr steals the spotlight in a sculptural black gown as she joins fashion's elite at the 2025 Met Gala in New York City
Miranda Kerr made a dramatic entrance at the 2025 Met Gala on Monday night, turning heads in a show-stopping sculptural black gown that fused high fashion with avant-garde elegance.
The Australian supermodel, 42, looked nothing short of sensational as she arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for fashion's biggest night of the year.
Miranda opted for a daring strapless creation that featured exaggerated origami-style folds across the bodice and hip, paired with a wire-mesh veil worn over her face.
The Sydney-born model completed her attention-grabbing get-up with floor-grazing statement sleeves that billowed as she posed for photographers.
The striking ensemble showcased her toned physique and highlighted her statuesque frame.
She accessorised the bold look with long black opera gloves, strappy stilettos and a dazzling diamond choker necklace.
Meanwhile, her brunette hair was elegantly swept back into a sleek braided bun.
A swipe of classic red lipstick completed Miranda's old-Hollywood-inspired glam look.
She was joined by her tech billionaire husband Evan Spiegel, who cut a dashing figure in a tailored suit.
Beaming from ear to ear, Miranda appeared to be in high spirits as she posed confidently for cameras, flashing her signature smile.
She waved to fans and photographers alike, clearly soaking up the electric atmosphere of the star-studded evening.
The former Victoria's Secret Angel radiated joy and confidence as she glided down the blue carpet, pausing to laugh and chat with fellow guests.
Her cheerful energy was infectious - and it was clear she was enjoying every moment of the glamorous night out.
The star-studded affair marked another standout appearance for Miranda, who has become a Met Gala regular over the years thanks to her sophisticated fashion choices and runway-ready poise.
The annual invite-only event has a theme each year, with this year's theme as 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,' inspired by Monica Miller's work, which includes her book Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.
Monica is the chair of Africana Studies at Barnard College, as well as a professor at the institute.
The 2025 gala theme focuses on menswear, 22 years after the 'Men In Skirts' theme - which was the first gala to focus only on menswear.
According to Monica, Black dandyism is 'a strategy and a tool to rethink identity, to reimagine the self in a different context. To really push a boundary - especially during the time of enslavement, to really push a boundary on who and what counts as human, even,' via Vogue.
The Met Gala 2025 will be co-chaired by Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour, with Lebron James as the honourary chair.
Miranda joined a glittering lineup of A-listers, including Zendaya, who turned heads in a sharp white suit and wide-brimmed hat by Louis Vuitton, and Gigi Hadid, who dazzled in a custom gold halter gown by Miu Miu.

EXCLUSIVE The Logies invite list that's tearing the MAFS cast apart: Who will walk the red carpet and who has been snubbed REVEALED
This year's Married At First Sight cast are in a frenzy of panic ahead of the 2025 Logie Awards, after learning that only a small handful of them will be invited to attend the glittering ceremony. Set to take place on August 4 in Sydney, the event will once again be hosted by Channel Seven, leaving some Channel Nine stars sweating over their invite status. Daily Mail Australia can reveal that only a few of this year's breakout stars have made the cut, despite MAFS 2025 scoring strong ratings and widespread attention. Those tipped to attend include Jamie Marinos, Awhina Rutene, Rhi Disljenkovic, Jeff Gobbels, Tony Mojanovski, Ryan Donnelly, Carina Mirabile, Eliot Donovan, Beth Kelly and Teejay Halkias. All ten stars have remained in good standing with Nine and have been spotted at recent promotional events, making them the obvious choices to represent the show and network. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Should Channel Nine be feeling generous Katie Johnston and Ashleigh Ackerman will also be considered. Meanwhile, relationship experts John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla will once again attend the awards to officially represent the series, while Mel Schilling has been invited but is yet to confirm her appearance. Insiders say the decision to limit the guest list has caused serious tension within the cast. 'Everyone's panicking and desperate to go,' one source told Daily Mail Australia. 'Some of them acted like saints during filming thinking it would secure them a Logies invite – now they're hearing they didn't make the cut and they're furious.' Those who've been left off the invite list include Morena Farina, Lauren Hall and Sierah Swepstone. Despite still being together, Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice won't be receiving an invite following their controversial stint on the show. Perth groom Paul Antoine, Tim Gromie, Adrian Araouzou and Veronica Cloherty also didn't make the list. 'There's already drama bubbling behind the scenes,' the insider continued. 'People are reaching out to stylists, PRs and brands trying to bluff their way in - but it's not happening.' The snubbing of certain cast members is a sharp reminder of last year's backlash, when only past participants Evelyn Ellis, Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant were invited to the 2024 ceremony - with the rest of the MAFS cast allegedly being blacklisted by producers for proving 'too difficult' post-show. This year, it's clear that behaviour and ongoing cooperation with the network have played a major role in who made the cut. 'It's a reward system. If you've stayed on good terms with Nine, played ball, and showed up to events – you're in. If you've caused headaches or gone rogue, you're out.' With the Logies just weeks away, the cast are still anxiously waiting for final confirmations – but insiders say the current list is unlikely to change. It comes as comedian Sam Pang was confirmed to be returning as host for the third time in three years. Sam's cheeky and irreverent comedy as host last year and in 2023 proved to be a big hit with audiences and TV's A-list as well as a major ratings winner for Seven.

ASAP Rocky rushes to support Rihanna after tragic death of her dad
Singer A$AP Rocky was spotted in New York rushing to be by pregnant Rihanna's side after her father, Ronald Fenty, died at the age of 70 following a brief illness Rihanna's boyfriend, singer A$AP Rocky, rushed to be by her side after tragically losing her father. Rihanna's dad, Ronald Fenty, has died aged 70 in Los Angeles following a brief illness, according to reports. The pop icon, who shares two sons, RZA, 2, and Riot, 1, with A$AP Rocky, has reportedly been supported by her partner throughout this difficult time. The rapper was spotted in New York, where Rihanna is also staying. The musician stepped out in all-black attire, consisting of some cropped black jeans, a dark t-shirt and a black leather bomber jacket. He completed the look with some sunglasses and chunky jewelry. A$AP Rocky was snapped with his assistant, who covered him with an umbrella as he walked to a car where he reportedly made his way back to his family. Ronald and Rihanna had a turbulent relationship. However, he previously opened up on how much she is loving mum life. The pop star's father told Page Six: 'She's loving it. She's a very overprotective mother', before joking that the baby looks like him. He added: 'Everybody says [the baby] looks like me, but you know, babies change, faces change. He [resembles] a lot of Rihanna and Rocky together.' Rihanna previously paid for her father to attend a $58,000 Malibu rehab following a difficult period in their relationship that saw her send him home from her tour due to his alcohol abuse. Ronald was also the subject of a lawsuit filed by his daughter, who accused him of misusing her name to benefit his own entertainment company; however, she later dropped the lawsuit. Rihanna announced her third pregnancy earlier this month when she attended the 2025 Met Gala, following many rumours that another baby was on the way. After keeping fans guessing by wearing baggy clothes, Rihanna used her fitted two-piece to make the big announcement at the 2025 gala. The singer is building quite a reputation for delivering iconic pregnancy announcements after she announced her second pregnancy while performing at the Super Bowl. Her dad reportedly had "no idea" his daughter was expecting a second baby at the time and is thought to have 'found out while watching the Super Bowl'. TMZ reported Ronald said: "Oh my God! My baby girl looks pregnant', while recalling the moment that he watched her perform the halftime show.
