'Same problems every season' - fans on home defeat
We asked for your views on Arsenal's defeat at home against Bournemouth. Here are some of your comments:Martin: Arsenal have the same problems every season. They start the season with the smallest group of top players possible. Then they get a few injuries (not as many as this season) and by the end of the season they have nothing left to give. They lose half a yard and run out of ideas. In the Premier League, other teams can see that and take full advantage. When Arsenal have a full squad, they are one of the best in Europe and teams don't really want to play them. But when they lose two or three players everyone wants to play them. Hopefully, they will strengthen in the summer and don't lose any top players.Rachel: Same old, same old. Seriously worrying Arsenal performance. Another pathetic display from Martin Odegaard who didn't bother to turn up. It doesn't fill me with optimism for remaining games and looks like we're going to fade away yet again.Brian: Yet again Arsenal play in this overly regimented style making lots of pretty passes that go across and backwards and is clearly easy to defend against if you're as resolute as Bournemouth were. It's too pedestrian and predictable. Somewhat ironic that Arsenal get undone from set pieces now that their own overly choreographed set plays at corners have been sussed out by the opposition.Dan: Simply pathetic, again. If Arteta had rested the first team, I wouldn't be as mad, but well done Mikel, you've tired your starters, with the most important game of the season just days away. Given we're almost guaranteed to fail to beat PSG, I think we have to focus on qualifying for the Champions League. We'll struggle to finish top five in this form.Terrence: Pitiful, clueless, effortless and so on. We played like a tired bunch that have never seen a football match. As I said weeks ago, Arsenal will be lucky to finish in the top four. They deserve the criticism, sad end to the season.Wendy: There is no room for negativity now. We who are proud Arsenal supporters over many years just have to keep on believing that the team will do the best they can. Keep up the fight, all of you, let's win, next week and to the end of the season!

Thomas Tuchel drops England team hint with contrasting plans for two hopefuls
England boss Thomas Tuchel is set to make changes to the side that only beat Andorra 1-0 at the weekend for the meeting with Senegal at the City Ground, and goalkeeper Dean Henderson may be handed an opportunity Ivan Toney may have to wait for his England chance. Former Brentford striker Toney has been out of the picture since going to the Saudi Pro League and must have been hoping to start against Senegal having not featured against Andorra. But Thomas Tuchel has hinted heavily that Harry Kane will start which means that Toney - back in the squad for the first time since leaving the Premier League last summer - may only get a run-out as a substitute. England boss Tuchel said: 'Let's see what the game demands. It is important we get to know him as a personality and it is clear in training what he can do as a goalscorer. Let's see what the game brings but he has every chance to play.' One player who could get an England audition against Senegal on Tuesday night however is Crystal Palace stopper Dean Henderson. READ MORE: Harry Kane handed 'Cristiano Ronaldo warning' by England boss Thomas Tuchel Tuchel also rates Burnley 's James Trafford highly as England look to their keeper options to put pressure on No1 Jordan Pickford. The England boss is preparing to change the keeper but still wants to go strong against Senegal after the lacklustre win against Andorra. Tuchel said: 'Jordan is, in the moment, in front. We chose a very, very serious line-up against Andorra to also not give the signal that we are preparing something or trying something. 'There was no doubt we could have played with Trafford or Dean Henderson in goal against Andorra but Jordan is, in the moment, slightly ahead. 'He will do everything to stay ahead and the others, hopefully, to do everything to challenge him but it could be a time to give some minutes to Dean or Trafford.'

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is left in limbo as Everton offer new deal to two stars but talks with striker break down as his contract expires
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin looks increasingly likely to leave the club after failing to agree on a new contract. The 28-year old is a free agent and is interested in a move to Italy though will consider all options. Everton revealed on Monday that they had offered new contracts to Seamus Coleman and Idrissa Gueye and were continuing 'to liaise with representatives' of both Cavert-Lewin and Michael Keane. But talks with the striker appear to have broken down. Speaking on the High Performance Podcast, Calvert-Lewin — who has been with Everton since 2016 — revealed his desire to play in a 'winning environment' to help his Champions League and England ambitions. 'I have to be careful with what I say because I am still contracted to Everton, I have a long history with Everton and a big respect for the club,' he said. 'The main thing for me is I want to win, I want to be in a winning environment. After the last three or four seasons it has been about survival. 'When I started my career I wanted to play in the Premier League, play for England a go to major tournaments with England and play in the Champions League. I have played in a major tournament for England, I have played in the Premier League, but I haven't played in the Champions League. There are still things I would like to achieve before my time is done. 'To have the opportunity to decide potentially where that place will be. If it gives me the best opportunity and environment to win and score goals, then that would be the return of me to the England team and playing in the Champions League. 'That has been my driver to play at the highest level possible. My representation of that is the Champions League, World Cups, Euros and getting into that bracket of elite players.' Calvert-Lewis has earned 11 England caps, scoring four goals for the national team. Despite being a member of the squad to reach the European Championship final in 2021, Calvert-Lewin has not featured for the national team since.
