After death of Rajesh Khanna, 64 closed suitcases were found in his home, they were full of..., actor kept crying in his last days because of...

In the twilight of his life, Rajesh Khanna, India's first superstar, revealed a poignant contrast between his public persona and private solitude. Despite a career adorned with adulation and success, his final days were marked by introspection and unfulfilled desires. What was found in those 64 suitcases? Following his death in 2012, a surprising discovery was made at his iconic Mumbai residence, Aashirwaad. Sixty-four unopened suitcases, filled with gifts intended for friends and acquaintances, were found scattered throughout the bungalow. These items, collected during his numerous overseas trips, remained undelivered. Gautam Chintamani's biography, Dark Star: The Loneliness of Being Rajesh Khanna, delves into this aspect of Khanna's life. The book portrays a man who, despite his regal lifestyle and immense popularity, grappled with deep-seated loneliness. How was his marriage life with Dimple Kapadia? Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia's marriage was famously complex. They married in 1973 when Dimple was just 16, shortly before the release of her debut film Bobby, helmed by legendary Late Raj Kapoor. Their relationship quickly became strained due to Rajesh Khanna's dominating personality, mood swings, and his struggle with fame and loneliness. The couple separated in the 1980s but never legally divorced. Despite their separation, Dimple stood by Rajesh during his final days, caring for him during his illness, showing that their bond, though distant, remained emotionally intact. What was the last wish of Rajesh Khanna that remained unfulfilled? During the conversation with Avanti Films, superstar's girlfriend Anita Advani revealed that Rajesh Khanna wished to turn his beloved bungalow, Aashirvaad, into a museum. Despite a Rs 150 crore offer, he refused to sell it, hoping to preserve its legacy. Sadly, after his death, the bungalow was demolished, and his dream remained unfulfilled. For the unversed, Rajesh Khanna and Anita Advani reportedly came into a relationship during the later years of his life, around the early 2000s. Their relationship became public knowledge mostly after he died in 2012, when Anita claimed to have been his live-in partner and expressed emotional and legal concerns regarding his legacy. Rajesh Khanna passed away on 18 July 2012 at the age of 69. He had been battling a prolonged illness, widely believed to be cancer, though the family never officially confirmed the exact nature of his condition.

Anupam Kher opens up about Tanvi the Great's financial debacle as he launches new book: ‘What I have achieved with this, no one could achieve in a thousand years'

Veteran actor and filmmaker Anupam Kher, who recently made his return to direction after 23 years with Tanvi The Great, is back in the spotlight, this time as an author. Anupam launched his fourth book in Mumbai on Wednesday, titled Different But No Less. The book documents the making of Tanvi The Great, a film that almost never got made. The book captures the struggles behind the project, from initial rejections to casting stories, and sheds light on the inspiration that led Anupam to center his comeback around the story of an autistic girl. 'I wrote this film because I needed strength more than money to write it and then eventually make it,' said Anupam. 'That's how this book came out, and it's the strongest thing I have done in my life.' The launch event was a star-studded gathering of friends, colleagues, and collaborators. Among those present were filmmaker and long-time mentor Mahesh Bhatt, actor Boman Irani, who also hosted the event, Gajraj Rao, Anang Desai, and director Pankuj Parashar, with whom Anupam worked in films like Chaalbaaz. Speaking about Anupam's journey, Mahesh Bhatt offered an emotional reflection. 'One of the greatest strengths of this kid, I call him a kid because when I met him he was 28, although I was only 34, but still, is his vulnerability,' Bhatt said. 'I don't know any other attribute apart from vulnerability when it comes to him. And a person who cannot be vulnerable cannot be courageous. I'm proud that a journey we began all those years back has landed us in this moment. I can wholeheartedly claim, proudly, that I have contributed somewhere in his journey, and I think his flight has just begun.' However, the film has struggled at the box office, clashing with Mohit Suri's musical Saiyaara. Addressing the film's performance, Boman asked Anupam how he felt about the underwhelming commercial response. To that, he responded with characteristic conviction: 'To everyone present here, if I had to ask you what your top three films of all time are, I'm sure nobody would even remember the box office business they did when they released. What I have achieved with this film, no other person could achieve in a hundred, thousand years.' Boman, in his trademark wit, joked that none of the actors, including himself, were paid for working on Tanvi The Great, as they were simply following Anupam's vision, who, in turn, was following his heart. Also present was actress Shubhangi, who played the titular role of Tanvi in the film, and she read a chapter from the book for the audience. Her performance in the film was praised by Boman, who said, 'This is your Saaransh moment. What Bhatt Saab did for Anupam is what he has done for you.'

Mohit Suri says the world hasn't seen Saiyaara star Ahaan Panday's other side: ‘Tiktoker hai ye ladka, full Chapri hai'

Director Mohit Suri, basking in the success of Saiyaara, recently opened up about the hidden sides of his film's lead stars, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. While both actors have been praised for their emotionally grounded performances in the film, Suri revealed there's a lot more to them that the audience hasn't yet seen. Mohit Suri highlights Ahaan Panday's electric personality and comic timing of Aneet Padda are still untapped. Speaking to Komal Nahta, Mohit recalled a moment during the shoot that revealed Ahaan's curiosity about his casting. Mohit Suri reveals a different side of Ahaan and Aneet 'Sir, maine toh ek dimension hi inmein tap nahi kiya hai. Mujhe yaad hai, 30th day of shooting par, jab 50 per cent shoot ho chuki thi, he suddenly turns to our creative producer and says, 'Sumanna, maine kya kiya tha audition mein? Aisa toh koi audition diya hi nahi tha maine. Mujhe bola gaya tha, you are the right one. (Sir, I haven't even tapped one dimension of him yet. I remember on the 30th day of shooting, when half the film was done, he turned to our creative producer and said, 'Sumanna, what did I even do in the audition? I didn't give any big performance. I was just told I'm the right one.)" Mohit added that Ahaan's energy is far more electric than what Saiyaara required. 'He has a whole different side—the way he dances, he's a gallery man! He dances for the front benchers. Aapne woh videos dekhe nahi hai jo usne pull down kar diye. TikToker hai yeh ladka. Full chapri hai. He's a full, out-there, galleried, Gaiety Galaxy boy jo Bandra mein hai. (You haven't seen the videos he deleted—this guy is a total TikToker! He's a loud, energetic, over-the-top Gaiety Galaxy boy from Bandra.)" Mohit said this side wasn't needed for Saiyaara, but it's a part of Ahaan's personality he hopes to explore in future projects. He also spoke fondly of Aneet Padda, revealing her unexpected comic timing. Saiyaara is a smashing hit at the box office Mohit Suri's Saiyaara has made history at the global box office, emerging as the highest-grossing love story in Indian cinema.
