Ari Emanuel, UFC and WWE owner, is now officially a billionaire for the first time in his career

Yahoo24-02-2025
Ari Emanuel has joined the billionaire's club.
Emanuel, who is the CEO of TKO Group Holdings — the combined corporate umbrella for combat giants UFC and WWE — and Endeavor Group Holdings, was officially added to the Bloomberg Billionaire index for his personal wealth for the first time in his career, the network reported earlier this month. It's unclear what Emanuel's personal net worth actually is, but it has surpassed the $1 billion threshold.
A big force in Emanuel finally hitting that mark has to do with his ownership of both the UFC and WWE. Endeavor Group Holdings has seen a nearly 50% jump in share price over the past year. Emanuel and the company purchased the UFC for $4 billion in 2016, and later took over WWE. It acquired WWE for $9.3 billion in 2023 and merged it with the UFC into TKO Group. That company's stock price has gone up by more than 70% since its public listing, per the report.
TKO is now valued at more than $27 billion. Both the UFC and WWE have seen significant growth in recent years with Emanuel and his groups in charge, too. WWE inked a $5 billion deal with Netflix for 'Monday Night Raw,' and UFC is working for a new broadcast rights deal starting in 2026 that could surpass $1 billion per year.
Before getting into the fighting space, Emanuel's company represented clients like Oprah Winfrey and Matt Damon. He worked as Donald Trump's agent in 2010 before he ran for president, and he has a strong relationship with Elon Musk. Endeavor was the first outside investor in Musk's push to buy Twitter.
Emanuel was also the inspiration for the character 'Ari Gold,' who was portrayed by Jeremy Piven on the HBO series 'Entourage.' He is also an early investor in Uber and a founding investor in the Raine Group, which is a global merchant bank. Both of those, Bloomberg said, could raise his net worth significantly.

UFC 318: Max Holloway, Dustin Poirier weigh in on Islam Makhachev's move to welterweight

NEW ORLEANS – Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier gave their breakdown on how Islam Makhachev does at 170 pounds. Holloway (26-8 MMA, 22-8 UFC) defends his BMF title against Dustin Poirier (30-9 MMA, 22-8 UFC) in a trilogy bout, which headlines Saturday's UFC 318 (pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+) event at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. Now permanently at 155 pounds, Holloway thinks former champion Makhachev (27-1 MMA, 16-1 UFC) will do well at a weight class above, but thinks UFC welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena (18-2 MMA, 8-0 UFC) won't be an easy fight for him. "I think he'll be fine. I think he'll be good, but people be sleeping on Jack," Holloway said during Wednesday's media day. "I think Jack is one of the best fighters in the world right now, and I think people are going to find that out when that match happens. I'm hearing rumors maybe October. I think it's going to be a fun fight, smart fight, but a lot of people counting out Jack for I don't know what reason. "They keep counting him out. It kind of reminds me of when I was coming up, and (people) counting me out in a bunch of different fights. I mean, (Makhachev) is the No. 2 pound-for-pound in the world right now, but he's the No. 2 pound-for-pound for a reason, so you've got to respect that. But don't sleep on Jack. I think it's going to be a tough and fun fight." Poirier fought Makhachev for the lightweight title at UFC 302. He was submitted in Round 5, and expects Makhachev to have success at welterweight. "He's a big guy," Poirier said. "I think he's going to fill into that weight. He's a really big 155'er. His lifestyle outside of training camp is going to be a little bit more comfortable, and he'll fill into that weight class no problem. He could be champion there for sure. "I think the beginning of the fight is going to tell the story, like how well JDM does getting up, how well JDM does at keeping Islam off of his legs, off of the cage. It's tough to call that because JDM is a big guy, athletic. I'm excited about that – a lot of fun fights in the future."

Watch: Jelly Roll slams Logan Paul through a desk on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

July 17 (UPI) -- Jelly Roll slammed Logan Paul through a desk while guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday. Jelly Roll was promoting his involvement with WWE and had wrestler Randy Orton on as his guest. Jelly Roll and Orton are set to face Paul and wrestler Drew McIntyre in a Tag Team match at WWE's SummerSlam, which takes place over two nights on Aug. 2 and 3. Cardi B will host the event. Orton, who was discussing how he comes from a wrestling family, had his interview cut short by McIntyre who crashed the show. McIntyre made fun of Jelly Roll's weight loss before Orton started brawling with the Scottish Warrior. The two grapplers exchanged blows before they took their fight into the hallway. Jelly Roll was then confronted by Paul, who slapped the singer across the face. Jelly Roll responded by lifting the social media star up and smashing him through Kimmel's desk.

Kevin Holland targets seven fights in 2025, still trying to get Colby Covington

NEW ORLEANS – Kevin Holland is confident he can break the UFC record for most fights in a year. Holland (28-13 MMA, 15-10 UFC) competed and won five times in 2020, earning him MMA Junkie's Fighter of the Year. Just over halfway through this year, Holland enters his fourth fight when he takes on Daniel Rodriguez (19-5 MMA, 9-4 UFC) on Saturday's UFC 318 (pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+) main card at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. Despite now being at welterweight, Holland plans on distancing himself from the UFC record of five fights in a year, which he's tied for with multiple fighters. "I've got to do seven just to go ahead and top the record," Holland said during Wednesday's media day. "We're four down. I think we're getting Neil Magny after this one since I think he's one of the fellow guys that has five wins in a row in a year, right? So that'll be five, and then we'll go get the fifth win against somebody else. And then – I mean, I can fight a lot to be honest with you, and at 170 pounds I'm learning each time, it's just not that f*cking hard to get to." Holland mapped out how he'd like the rest of his year to look like. "I'd like to fight the week after Noche UFC or two weeks after Noche," Holland said. "I'd like to fight on Noche, but I could fight two weeks after or even a week before. I just want to fight around that time so I can make some money in the (state) of Texas just doing sponsorship stuff. After that, you can give me another one before Thanksgiving, and then give me another one right before Christmas, and that would be a good year." If Holland can cap off a historic year, will he be looking at a title run? "No, I think I'm going to do all that and still trying to be fighting Colby (Covington) next year," Holland said. "When he thought he could fight Paddy (Pimblett), and go down a weight class, he was 100 percent healthy. As soon as they said my name, (his) vaginal muscle tore. So you know how that goes. That sh*t takes him like 8-12 weeks to heal, so not an easy process." This article originally appeared on MMA Junkie: Kevin Holland targets seven fights in 2025, still eyes Colby Covington
