Emmerdale's Joe Tate left taken aback as Dawn makes unexpected move

Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) is certainly a woman who knows what she wants in Emmerdale. Recently in the soap, Dawn and Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) discovered that Belle was struggling with handling everything at Take a Vow. The limo crash in February – that Joe was responsible for – saw the deaths of Suzy, Leyla and Amy, and the first two ran the events business with Belle helping out. It left Belle completely on her own, so it's no surprise really that she's finding things tough. Dawn developed an idea after finding this out and told Belle that she should be her business partner. Of course, to buy into Take a Vow, Dawn would need a lot of money, and Belle was adamant the cash could not come from Joe. At Home Farm, Joe put forward the idea of giving Dawn a loan, but she seemed reluctant to accept it and betray Belle. In tonight's episode, Dawn told Belle that she's had a loan accepted from the bank. When Joe found her working later in the day, he reminded her that he could give her the cash interest free, but she didn't want it. Dawn said that she wants to make a success of Take a Vow and her new venture alone, which meant she was more than happy to fill out complicated paperwork for the bank, and pay interest on the loan. Joe was surprised, but also impressed with Dawn's independence. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? The latest gossip from Emmerdale? As Dawn headed off to a wedding fair, Belle was left alone to organise a christening party at the pub. More Trending She was rushed off her feet, but managed to spy another opportunity when she learnt that April (Amelia Flanagan) needed a job for the summer. April got to work helping Belle, but she was left shocked when she realised the father of the little baby was a man who threatened her while on the streets. View More » How will April cope with this? Long-running EastEnders couple at an end as statement is issued

It's over! EastEnders' Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) has called time on her relationship with Peter Beale (Thomas Law) in tonight's episode. The couple have been struggling immensely in the wake of newborn son Jimmy's visual impairment diagnosis – something which Peter openly blamed Lauren for. Lauren took responsibility, given her painkiller addiction while she was pregnant, but was hoping that her fiancé would take a more sympathetic approach moving forward in their relationship. This wasn't the case, and after a vicious argument, she stormed out of the house and attempted to hit the bottle. Luckily, she didn't relapse. However, a heart to heart with Zack Hudson (James Farrar) led to the two enjoying a kiss, and she stayed the night. The next morning she was relieved that they hadn't slept together, knowing that she'd have to head home and face Peter. When they eventually came face to face, he was furious, and demanded to know where she'd disappeared to. Quickly covering, she said she'd spent the night with a friend. Not exactly a lie, but by not divulging the friend's identity only intensified Peter's suspicions. Later, when he returned home from the hospital with Jimmy, he urged Lauren to come clean about what had happened. She admitted to almost relapsing, and he declared their relationship to be over. However, in tonight's episode, there seemed to be hope of a reconciliation. Peter opened up to grandmother Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) about his worries, and although he had said about seeking full custody of his sons, he would put that to one side if Lauren agreed to move forward. Heading across The Square, he once again asked Lauren to come clean about where she had spent the evening, but she remained firm that she was just 'with a friend.' Despite making amends, the seed of doubt was still in Peter's mind. More Trending He headed to The Queen Vic, and pulled Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) to one side for some legal advice – he still wanted a back up plan should Lauren relapse again. The conversation was overheard by Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton), who then reported back to an enraged Lauren. She stormed into the Beale residence, and told him – under no uncertain terms – that they were no longer together. View More » Will Lauren and Peter ever be able to find mutual ground once again? M&S shoppers drooling over 'naughty' new desserts as 100 products added to range

If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission – learn more Marks & Spencer has done it again folks and got everyone talking about its food — for a good reason. The retailer has launched more than 100 new or refreshed products in its Foodhall for summer, leaving many customers 'drooling'. First up, there's a brand new Shred N' Share Dine In deal which feeds four and consists of a slow cooked main and four sides for £20. Options for this include Carolina BBQ British Pork, British Chicken Shawarma and British Minced Beef Chilli for the main event, coupled with dishes like Spicy Rice, Chunky Chips, Green Goddess Slaw, Salsa Verde Potato Salad and Sweetcorn Ribs. And to round off your meal, there's a tempting selection of new desserts which people have been going absolutely wild over on social media. The sweet treat selection includes a UK first, as M&S combines cookies and cheesecake to create new Cookie Cups. Available in three flavours (Raspberry & White Chocolate, Extremely Chocolatey and Hazelnut Praline) they cost £2.69 each and are described as being a chewy cookie with smooth cheesecake filling. Each is topped with a sauce, chocolate chunks and various other goodies. They've also put new spins on classic pastries, launching Double Filled Lemon Eclairs (£3), which see choux pastry filled with whipped cream and lemon curd before being topped with a tangy lemon fondant. Tirami-choux Profiteroles (£4) have hit the chilled section too and as the name suggests these are choux pastries containing a coffee, mascarpone and a Marsala cream filling, with chocolate sauce on top. Tiramisu fans can also get their hands on new full-size twists on the Italian dessert, with a Limoncello version and a Hazelnut one (both £5.25). And for the pistachio lovers mini Pistachio Tiramisu pots are also being sold for £2 for two. Yum! Other new items in the supermarket include sauces like spicy mayo and a coffee BBQ glaze, as well as bottles of White Sangria, a gluten-free Korean Chicken Sandwich and various tortilla wraps including Nacho Spice, Spinach & Herb and Corn & Wheat Tacos. Chef Tom Kerridge has also launched a new M&S Collection Grill Range ahead of the warm weather and the line-up contains Burnt End Meatballs with Chipotle Sauce, Seven Spice Beef Koftas and Spiced Honey Spatchcock Chicken. Social media users have been raving over the new releases, with the Cookie Cups causing a particular stir online. In response to a post about them on the Snack News & Reviews page on Facebook, John Andrew said he was 'drooling', while Gemma Halbert commented: 'I need one of these pronto' and Jasmine Smith branded them as 'lush'. On Instagram, @sweetreviewsuk said: 'Wow, these look delicious!' and @golf_mamma proclaimed 'they were amazing'. Similarly, @sk86x thought the 'white chocolate one is absolutely incredible' and @bonbonbonia shared: 'This is very naughty and I like it.' Some also said they were 'yummy', would 'go down a treat' and they'd be 'great with a brew'. This comes after M&S recently were trumped by cheap sausages in a supermarket taste test. Nine supermarket own-brand sausages were pitted against each other as part of the test and compared to several popular brands too, like Heck and Jolly Hog. Ultimately, three ended up being named the superior 'best buys' of the lot and it was Lidl's Deluxe Pork Sausages (£2.49 for 400g) sausages that topped the rankings with a score of 77%. Consumers loved their 'juicy texture', 'perfect meaty flavour' and said the 'herb and spice seasoning that hit the spot'. More Trending However, it's worth noting that Lidl's sausages are pretty high in saturated fat. Two sausages contain 11.5g, which is more than half the recommended daily maximum for women and more than a third for men. M&S came in second place with the Collection British Outdoor Bred Pork Sausages (£4.50 for 400g) came in second place with an overall score of 75%. The priciest of the bunch, these were well-liked sausages with good pork flavour, juiciness and salt levels relished by three-quarters of the tasters. View More » Two-thirds said they enjoyed the texture, but while 58% said seasoning was well-balanced, the remainder were divided on whether it was too much or too little.
