
HM King Hamad Receives Credentials of 19 New Ambassadors at Sakhir Palace
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received the credentials of 19 newly appointed ambassadors to the Kingdom of Bahrain during a formal ceremony held yesterday at Sakhir Palace.
The ceremony, which reflected Bahrain's enduring commitment to fostering international cooperation and friendship, saw ambassadors from various countries present their letters of credence to His Majesty. The new envoys represent a diverse lineup of nations including Denmark, Slovakia, Chad, Mongolia, Canada, the Czech Republic, the Bahamas, Turkmenistan, Sweden, Guinea, Seychelles, Estonia, Latvia, Tanzania, South Africa, Spain, Tajikistan, Guatemala, and Moldova.
During the ceremony, His Majesty the King delivered a welcoming speech, reaffirming Bahrain's pride in its strong diplomatic ties with each of the represented nations. His Majesty expressed his hope for a productive and successful tenure for all the ambassadors and assured them of Bahrain's full support in strengthening mutual cooperation.
'I ask you to convey my personal greetings to Their Majesties and Highnesses, for whom we hold deep respect and warm affection,' His Majesty said, wishing the envoys success in their diplomatic missions and good health.
His Majesty also addressed the ambassadors on Bahrain's enduring values of unity and resilience, especially amid global challenges, highlighting the Kingdom's ongoing commitment to development and international partnership. He encouraged the ambassadors to share their ideas and emphasized Bahrain's openness to dialogue, stating:
"In such difficult times, the real challenge is maintaining our progress. Our people are working hard and achieving many accomplishments, and your support will certainly lead to even greater advancement."
Additionally, His Majesty paid tribute to the late Pope, recalling his historic visit to Bahrain and his role in promoting global peace and interfaith harmony. His Majesty expressed hope that the new Pope would continue to uphold the same values of compassion and unity.
The ambassadors, in turn, conveyed the greetings and best wishes of their respective leaders to His Majesty and the Kingdom, praising Bahrain's commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties and its efforts to foster peace, prosperity, and cultural dialogue.
The ceremony was attended by senior Bahraini dignitaries, including His Highness the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the Minister of the Royal Court, the Grand Adviser for Diplomatic Affairs, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Chief of Royal Protocol.
The new ambassadors were received at Sakhir Palace by the Chief of Royal Protocol, and the ceremony concluded with the playing of the Royal Anthem, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Bahrain's diplomatic engagements.
