India's Brahmos, Scalp and Rampage missiles caused tremendous destruction in the recent tension with Pakistan. This success has inspired India to buy even more powerful missiles.
The Indian Air Force is testing two Israeli cruise missiles – Wind Demon and Ice Breaker. According to a report by Defense Security Asia, these missiles can be purchased for deep strike against Pakistan. They have been made by Israel Aerospace Industries and Rafael.

India wants missiles that can destroy enemy targets from a safe distance. Wind Demon and Ice Breaker can destroy high-value targets by dodging enemy air defence. These missiles save pilots and aircraft from risk.
The excellent performance of the Rampage missile against Pakistan has impressed the Indian Air Force. This supersonic missile can hit hard targets from a safe distance. After its success, India and Israel are keen to buy the missile.

The Wind Demon missile is light but deadly, with a range of 200 km and weighing 140 kg. It flies at a low altitude to avoid enemy radar and hits the target accurately. Its AI and laser guidance system makes it special.
The operator can control the Wind Demon in real time, even changing targets between missions. Its 20-kilogram warhead can explode or cause deep damage depending on the mission. The missile is designed for jets like the F-16 and Rafale.
The Ice Breaker missile can be launched from land, sea and air with a range of 300 kilometres. It destroys radars, mobile missile batteries and ships with precision. Its 105-kg warhead makes it versatile.
Icebreaker has AI based target recognition and multi-sensor technology, which helps it succeed even in complex warfare. It does not miss the target even if GPS is blocked. Its ability to be launched from F-15, Rafale and coastal batteries makes it different.
There is deep cooperation between India and Israel in defense, which includes technologies like Barak-8, Spider and drones. The deal for Wind Demon and Ice Breaker can be done under India's Make in India policy. This will further strengthen the relations between the two countries.
If India adds Wind Demon and Ice Breaker to its fleet, Pakistan and China may lose their sleep. These missiles will increase India's deep-strike capability manifold. The IAF aims to start their integration by 2026.

Beverages like Pepsi and Coca-Cola often dominate store shelves, and people still queue up when a new Apple store opens or a Starbucks cafe doles out discounts. Although there was no immediate indication of sales being hit, there's a growing chorus both on social media and offline to buy local and ditch American products after Donald Trump imposed a 50 per cent tariff on goods from India, rattling exporters and damaging ties between New Delhi and Coca-Cola, Amazon and Apple did not immediately respond to Reuters Chowdhary, co-founder of India's Wow Skin Science, took to LinkedIn with a video message urging support for farmers and startups to make "Made in India" a "global obsession," and to learn from South Korea whose food and beauty products are famous worldwide.."We have lined up for products from thousands of miles away. To be fair, Indian retail companies give foreign brands like Starbucks stiff competition in the domestic market, but going global has been a challenge. Indian IT services firms, however, have become deeply entrenched in the global economy, with the likes of TCS and Infosys providing software solutions to clients world Sunday, Modi made a "special appeal" for becoming self-reliant, telling a gathering in Bengaluru that Indian technology companies made products for the world but "now is the time for us to give more priority to India's needs.".He did not name any drag my McPuff into as anti-American protests simmer, Tesla launched its second showroom in India in New Delhi, with Monday's opening attended by Indian commerce ministry officials and US embassy Swadeshi Jagran Manch group, which is linked to Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party, took out small public rallies across India on Sunday, urging people to boycott American brands.."People are now looking at Indian products. PM Modi Inaugurates Flats For MPs, Takes A Veiled 'Bihar' Jab At Opposition

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 184 newly constructed Type-VII multi-storey flats for Members of Parliament at Baba Kharak Singh Marg in New Delhi on Monday and said that these residential complexes will help the government save the country's funds. As part of the programme, the Prime Minister planted a Sindoor sapling within the residential complex and interacted with 'sramajeevis' involved in the project's development. Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said, "The names of these four towers are also very beautiful -- Krishna, Godavari, Kosi and Hugli -- four major rivers of India that give life to crores of people. These will give inspiration to our representatives also." Speaking at the inauguration of newly constructed flats for MPs in New Delhi. — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) August 11, 2025 "Some people might have a problem with the name of River Kosi. They will see the Bihar elections in this name. I would like to tell these people with small hearts that the tradition of the river names ties us together for the country's unity," he said, taking a veiled jab at the Opposition. He congratulated the MPs for the newly constructed housing complexes, which he said would provide 'ease of living' for the public representatives. He also praised and expressed gratitude to the 'sramajeevis' (construction workers) who were involved in the construction process of these flats. "These big residences have a financial angle also. Recently, during the Kartavya Bhavan inauguration, I mentioned that the rent of the ministries which were running in the rented buildings used to be around Rs 1.5 crore per annum. This was a waste of the country's money. Similarly, due to the unavailability of government residences, the government spending used to increase," he said. "Despite this shortage, from 2004 to 2014, not even a single resident was built for the Lok Sabha MPs. That is why we took it up as a campaign. Since 2014 to date, along with these flats, around 350 residences have been made for the MPs. This also saves the country's money," the Prime Minister added. According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the housing complex has been designed to be self-sufficient, offering a full range of modern amenities to meet the functional needs of MPs. Built with an emphasis on sustainability, it incorporates green technology, adheres to the GRIHA 3-star rating standards, and complies with the National Building Code (NBC) 2016, the PMO said in a statement. The new flats feature "environmentally sustainable" elements aimed at promoting energy conservation, renewable energy generation, and efficient waste management. The project utilised advanced construction technology, including monolithic concrete with aluminium shuttering, ensuring timely completion and structural durability. The premises are also "Divyang-friendly", according to the PMO, reflecting a "commitment to inclusive design". The PMO noted that the project was initiated to address the shortage of adequate housing for MPs. With limited land availability, the emphasis has been on vertical housing to optimise land use and reduce maintenance costs. Each unit spans approximately 5,000 square feet of carpet area, offering space for both residential and official purposes. Dedicated office spaces, staff accommodation, and a community centre have also been included to support MPs in their roles as public representatives, the PMO said. All buildings have been constructed to be earthquake-resistant, following modern structural norms, and a comprehensive security system has been put in place to ensure residents' safety. sd/dpb

PM Modi inaugurates new multi-storey housing complex for MPs in Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated environmentally disabled-friendly 184 newly constructed Type-VII multi-storey flats for Members of Parliament at Baba Kharak Singh Marg, here. The residential complex, having four towers equipped with green and modern amenities features, aims to improve accommodation facilities for MPs and promote a more efficient and sustainable living environment, said a statement from the Prime Minister's Office. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister pointed out that the four towers in the complex named after major Indian rivers -- the Krishna, Godavari, Kosi, and the Hooghly -- symbolizing unity and cultural heritage which give life to millions, will now inspire a new stream of joy in the lives of public representatives. 'The availability of these new flats will ease the lives of MPs in Delhi,' he said, adding the new housing would end the long-standing issue of inadequate government accommodation for lawmakers. He also commended the engineers and shramjeevis (workers) who contributed to the construction, appreciating their dedication and timely delivery of the project. The Prime Minister shared his experience of visiting a sample flat and compared it with older accommodations, many of which, he said, had deteriorated over time. He noted that the new complex would offer MPs a comfortable living space and free them from housing-related concerns, allowing them to focus more on their duties towards the public. Modi further acknowledged the difficulties faced by first-time MPs in finding housing in Delhi. He said that more than 180 MPs will be housed in these towers and said this development will also help reduce government spending. He pointed out that from 2004 to 2014, no new flats were built for Lok Sabha MPs. 'Since 2014, around 350 MP flats have been constructed, including this new set, which will help save public funds,' he said. Drawing attention to broader development goals, the Prime Minister said, 'India of the 21st century is equally committed to growth and responsibility,' and mentioned that while new government infrastructure is being built, schemes like PM Awas Yojana are also helping four crore families achieve homeownership. He added that as India builds new Parliament buildings and MP flats, it is also setting up hundreds of medical colleges across the country. The Prime Minister highlighted the project's sustainability features, including solar infrastructure and green building design. He said the complex aligns with India's commitment to environmental protection and future-ready infrastructure, as per the statement here. Calling upon MPs to promote unity, Modi said the complex should reflect the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat. He encouraged MPs to celebrate each other's regional festivals, invite constituents, and learn regional languages from one another. He also urged MPs to maintain the premises with high standards of cleanliness and sustainability. He suggested that competitions could be held among residential complexes to promote cleanliness under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The event was attended by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Ministers, and several MPs. The Prime Minister also planted a Sindoor tree sapling and interacted with the workers who contributed to the project. According to officials, the building also features a community centre within the premises, which will serve as a hub for social and official engagements of MPs and incorporates green technology as per the GRIHA 3-star rating requirement, and complies with the National Building Code (NBC) 2016. The environmentally sustainable features include renewable energy systems, energy-efficient fittings, and an effective waste management system. The design aims to conserve resources while reducing operational costs. Officials said the multi-storey building is built using monolithic concrete with aluminum shuttering and is earthquake-resistant in accordance with modern structural norms. A robust security system has also been implemented for the safety of residents, said the officials. UNI AJ MI PRS
