EastEnders Joel's real plan for Avani 'revealed' as his secret exposed

Daily Mirror30-04-2025

In tonight's EastEnders Joel and Avani get closer - but fans are worried for the teen amid fears Joel, who arrived on the Square with Vicki Fowler and Ross Marshall, is 'bad news'
In tonight's EastEnders, Joel Marshall and Avani Nandra-Hart seemed to be getting even closer, as Joel was seen paying Declan for Avani, who had no money.
It's been a tough time for Avani lately, after she recently found out that the police won't be taking her complaint further after she was strip searched. In tonight's episode, Avani was seen stealing money from the Minute Mart to pay Declan for drugs, before she was told by her mum Priya to give it back.

However, it didn't stop her getting drugs from Declan, as Joel stepped in to pay for her in the café. "Why did you do that?," Avani asked, as Joel responded: "I don't know, maybe I like you. Anyway, I'll give you a call later."

Earlier on in the show however, Joel was heard asking Amy out – before she told him Avani was the one who needed cheering up.
Fans on X, formerly known as Twitter are worried about Avani, as they don't trust Joel's intentions - as some predict he's using her vulnerability to his advantage. One penned: "Joel gonna be the next teenage psycho as if our Avani hasn't been through enough bless her #eastenders," as another wrote: "I don't trust Joel with a barge pole. Keep your distance from him Avani. #EastEnders."
Another wrote: "He uses quite manipulative language. I think he might be controlling and possessive. Only time will tell," as a fourth wrote: "There's definitely something 'off' with him.
"The way he's sniffing around Avani doesn't sit right with me. I don't think he's trying to make Barney jealous, he's obviously heard about Avani's police ordeal and seems to be trying to use her vulnerability to his advantage."

It's set to be a big week for Joel next week, spoilers reveal. Joel's secret is finally set to be revealed – as Vicki Fowler makes a discovery about her stepson, leading to a row with her partner Ross.
Joel's dad Ross spots his son's obsession with his phone and it leads to a clash. Vicki tries to defuse the situation, but it only causes a row between the couple.
Ross later reveals the truth to Vicki regarding their debt, and the real reason they had to leave Australia, while fans know the debt is really Joel's. A shocked Vicki then flees with Ross later attempting to fix things between them, although it's clear she's not happy...

EastEnders bombshell as Queen Vic's loudmouth new landlady revealed as owners Linda & Elaine put iconic pub up for sale

ALBERT Square's next landlady at the Queen Vic pub is Kat Moon, The Sun can reveal. The leopard print-loving loudmouth takes over the EastEnders boozer after owners Linda Carter and her mum Elaine Peacock were forced to put it up for sale. 8 8 8 It marks a glorious return behind the Walford watering hole for Kat — previously Kat Slater, and licensee with husband Alfie Moon from 2010 to 2013. This time, for as yet unknown reasons, it will be just her name above the door. A source said: 'This will be Kat's third time working in the Queen Vic, but this will be her first time at the helm. 'It's a full-circle moment for the character, as when she first moved on to Albert Square in 2000, Kat gained employment as a barmaid at the pub. Then, ten years on, she helped Alfie. 'But now she's going to be the sole licensee of the boozer and it will kick-start a whole new chapter for the pub. 'Kat follows in the high heels of the Square's most formidable women — Angie Watts, her daughter Sharon and Peggy Mitchell — and puts her at the centre of the action.' The move also places actress Jessie Wallace at the heart of the soap and establishes her among the BBC's most valued talent. Over the past five years, bosses have relied on Jessie, 53, as part of the soap's biggest storylines, including Alfie's prostate cancer battle and a failed marriage to Phil Mitchell. And its another show of support after Jessie got a conditional caution from cops for assaulting a police officer outside a nightclub in 2022. Kat's new job comes after she this week ties the knot with Alfie (Shane Richie) for the third time — more than two decades after first saying 'I do'. EastEnders favourite kicked out by partner in fiery argument as 'cheating' exposed They are one of the soap's most popular couples. Kanye West has 'very different name now' after rebranding himself

Kanye West, also known as Ye, is said to have changed his name for the second time in recent years, with the rapper's latest name reportedly disclosed on business documents Kanye West, also known as Ye, has quietly changed his name for the second time in recent years. The rapper's latest name is said to have been used on legal documents related to businesses associated with him. The musician, 48, is reportedly referred to as Ye Ye on documents filed with the State of California by his chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani. It comes after he had previously become known as Ye, with it announced that he had legally changed his name to that in 2021. His apparent latest name hasn't been publicly announced by him, though. It's said to have emerged when his businesses filed a Statement of Information, which provides up-to-date information for an entity, such as addresses and directors. The US Sun, which has reportedly seen the documents in question, states that Ox Paha Inc now calls him 'Ye Ye' on them. It further claims that his clothing brand Yeezy Apparel, as well as his music businesses Yeezy Record Label LLC and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc, are also referring to him by that name. It adds that the business headquarters of Ox Paha Inc., Yeezy Record Label LLC and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc. has changed. It was said to have been a church in Northridge, Los Angeles, that burnt down after being left vacant by him, but is now reportedly listed as the office building in the city of Los Angeles that he bought in 2023, reports the Mirror US. The news comes after he announced earlier this month that he would be making a new account on X to reflect his name Ye. He shared his plans in a post on June 1. He wrote in a message to his followers on the platform: "Ima finally stop using the @kanyewest Twitter cause my name is Ye. Gonna start a Ye account and it is what it is." It came after Piers Morgan mentioned his handle on the platform du r ing an interview last month. The rapper had walked out of an interview on Uncensored. He left after Piers said that he had 32 million, rather than 33 million, followers on X. The host later issued a correction, but within minutes of the interview starting, he had left. Piers later suggested that it happened before he could ask about antisemitism and other topics. Ye - who in tweets weeks later said he was "done with antisemitism" and that he loves "all people," as well posting "God forgive me for the pain I've caused" - having been criticised for comments and other actions in recent years. Just last month, it was reported that he had released a song titled Heil Hitler (Hooligan Version). Host Piers told fellow guest Sneako after Ye left: "Tell him from me he's a snivelling, little coward, and he's an anti-semite and a Hitler worshipper. That's what I would have asked him if he'd had the b***s to sit there and take the questions." One fan later wrote on X: " Piers Morgan calling him ' Kanye West ' is exactly why Ye left the interview." Piers reacted to the suggestion by saying: "His X account name is @kanyewest …" The rapper has since shared plans to stop using the @kanyewest on the platform.
