Youth held for posting obscene Social media videos
The accused, identified as Minajul Aslam, a native of Assam, was arrested from Tiruppur in Tamil Nadu on August 12 and brought on transit remand to Nuapada on Friday, a police officer of Komana police station said.
The arrest was made on the basis of a written complaint lodged by the victim with Komana police station on August 9. The police officer said the accused and the woman had been in a relationship when the victim was working in Tiruppur.
During the period, the accused allegedly recorded explicit videos of her without her knowledge. Later, the man allegedly uploaded the videos on social media, the officer said. A team from Komana police station visited the area in Tamil Nadu and arrested him. After producing him at the local court there, the accused was brought to Komana on Friday, the police said.
The accused has been arrested under relevant sections of BNS and IT Act, they said.

Ponda councillor gets bail in forged NOCs case
Ponda: A Ponda court granted conditional bail to Ponda municipal councillor Shivanand Sawant, who was arrested on Friday over the forged no-objection certificates (NOCs) case. Sawant has been released on a personal bond with the condition of reporting to the Ponda police station for seven days to assist in the investigation. A complaint was lodged by Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) chief officer Suyash Khandeparkar on Aug 5, alleging forged NOCs issued to Alphia Maria Menezes E Rego, 40, of Silvanagar, Ponda, for water and electricity connections. Ponda police then registered an FIR against her on Aug 9. During the investigation, police found Sawant's involvement and arrested him. This was his second arrest by the Ponda police. On Jan 9, he was held for a forged income certificate. The forged NOCs came to light after a complaint was filed by Silvanagar resident Rozy Martha Rego. Rego alleged that the certificates, purportedly signed by then Municipal Engineer Uday Desai, were created to secure electricity and water connections to her house. 50-year-old man arrested for molesting minor
Rajkot: A 50-year-old milk parlour owner was arrested on Saturday for allegedly molesting an 11-year-old girl inside the Rajkot city police headquarters premises. The girl's father lodged a complaint at Pradyuman Nagar police station, following which the accused was booked under Section 75 of the BNS and Section 8 of the POCSO Act . According to Inspector Vikram Vasava told TOI, the girl had gone to the parlour to buy milk when the accused allegedly touched her inappropriately. The man, who had been running the parlour for over a year, was arrested soon after the complaint and will be produced in court on Monday. Police teams are collecting further evidence in the case. Valuables worth 4.4L stolen from farmer's locked house
Junagadh: A burglary was reported at Juthal village in Junagadh district, where valuables worth Rs 4.41 lakh were stolen from a farmer's house while the family was in Ahmedabad for a medical emergency. The case has been registered at Maliya Hatina police station. Police said the theft occurred between July 30 and Aug 16. According to the complaint filed by Vallabh Patel, 66, he and his wife had been living in Ahmedabad for her medical treatment after she fractured her leg a month and a half ago. Patel returned to his village on July 28 to look after his groundnut crop, stayed for three days and then went back to Ahmedabad. On Aug 16, a neighbour informed him that the locks of his house were broken and his motorcycle was lying outside. When Patel rushed back, he found that the cupboards had been broken open and gold ornaments along with cash were missing. A case has been filed against unidentified persons under Sections 305(A), 331(3) and 331(4) of the BNS, and further investigation is underway.
