Celebrity Great British Bake Off lineup revealed as new series begins
Hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will welcome 20 famous faces into the tent for the Stand Up To Cancer special where the star-studded lineup will have their baking skills judged by Paul Hollywood and Caroline Waldegrave, who is stepping in to replace Prue Leith.
The celebrity lineup includes property presenter Sarah Beeny, Self Esteem singer Rebecca Lucy Taylor and comedian Adam Buxton.
TV presenter siblings Scarlette and Stuart Douglas will also be joining the group, alongside model Ellie Goldstein and Loose Women panellist Gloria Hunniford.
Celebrity couple Chris and Rosie Ramsey, known for their podcast and theatre tour Sh**ged, Married, Annoyed, will also go head-to-head in the new series.
More names joining presenter Garraway and Chicken Shop date host Dimoldenberg include Ghosts actor Jim Howick, Black Ops star Gbemisola Ikumelo and comedian Jamali Maddix
. Other names include actor Meera Syal, Irish comedian Tommy Tiernan, stand-up comedian Phil Wang, and Alma's Not Normal actor Sophie Willan.
Leith, 85, had been a part of the much-loved baking programme since its move from the BBC to Channel 4 in 2017, replacing the expert role formerly held by Mary Berry.
Her replacement, Waldegrave, is a close friend and co-owner of Leiths School of Food and Wine.
Leith made the decision to take a hiatus from the celebrity edition of the show after she found it difficult to keep up her busy schedule.
However, she was adamant that she was not quitting the show. She told This Morning last year: 'These things are filmed back-to-back all the way through summer from April to August so you don't get any time off,' she said. 'I'm getting quite old and there's places I want to see. So I'm not doing this year's.'
She shut down rumours she was quitting, saying: 'It's absolutely not true at all! What I'm not doing this year is the celebrity one.'
She later told MailOnline about the decision: 'I absolutely love working on Bake Off and am looking forward to filming the next series and meeting our new bakers.'
'I am only stepping back from the celebrity series, which is just a question of the filming commitment involved as we make these shows back to back.'

Kate Garraway puts on a brave face and heads out in a quirky outfit after being forced to sell £2 million home to pay off debt
Kate Garraway put on a quirky display as she headed out in London on Friday after she was forced to put her £2 million home up for sale. The TV presenter, 58, who was left in £800,000 debt after caring for her late husband Derek Draper, was in high spirits despite the sale. Walking through the capital, she wore a colourful boho skirt, which she teamed with a fitted T-shirt. Kate layered over a matching beige cardigan, wore a crossbody bag and pulled a suitcase behind her. To complete her outfit, she added a pair of tan sandals, styled her hair straight and opted for minimal makeup. Kate been forced to sell her second home after Derek fought a brave four-year battle against Covid before tragically passing away in January last year. She is also battling company debts after Derek's psychotherapy firm Astra Aspera Ltd went bust owing hundreds of thousands to creditors including a huge sum to HMRC with Kate currently trying to pay back some of the debt. Now the Good Morning Britain star is flogging a stunning three-bed, four-storey townhouse in Islington, north London, which the couple bought for £550,000 in 2004. The property had been up for rent for £6,750-a-month, but is now in the process of being sold, confirmed by the Land Registry Office, and should fetch around £2 million. In January last year, the Mail on Sunday reported that Kate was faced with having to sell her five-bedroom family home in Muswell Hill, but by selling her second home, this appears to have been avoided. Daily Mail have contacted Kate's representatives for comment. One source said at the time: 'It is so sad for Kate. Not only has she had to watch her beloved husband suffer for almost four years but her financial worries have never been far away from her thoughts. 'It has cost hundreds of thousands of pounds to look after Derek and do everything she could to get him better but it's left her struggling. 'The house is about all she has left financially and she is now facing up to the fact it might have to be sold.' According to the rental listing for her Islington pad, it has a roof terrace and private garden. 'This beautifully presented 3-bedroom terraced house offers a perfect blend of modern living and period charm. Spread across four spacious floors, this property is ideal for those seeking comfort, style, and convenience. 'The ground floor features a welcoming living area with original features and ample space for relaxing or entertaining. The fully fitted kitchen is stylish and functional, leading directly to a private garden, perfect for outdoor dining or enjoying the fresh air. 'On the first and second floors, you'll find well-sized bedrooms, each offering plenty of natural light and built-in storage. The top floor boasts a stunning roof terrace with panoramic views across London, making it the perfect spot to unwind or entertain guests,' states the blurb. An identical property on the same street sold for £1.865M in June last year. The most recent liquidator's report for Astra Aspera Ltd shows that Kate has been trying to repay some of the debt she owes - and HMRCS have dramatically decreased their tax demand. The directors' loan account was overdrawn by £139,849, but the liquidator, Greenfield Recovery, hired solicitors, The Wilkes Partnership, 'to assist in the recovery… and the sum of £21,000 has been received in this report period'. According to the latest liquidator's report, HMRC has submitted a new preferential claim of £288,054. This is a third of its previous submission of £716,822. It's not known why the HMRC has dropped its demand. There are also creditor claims of £196,548 from four other firms including a £50,000 bank loan. It looks like there'll be no pay out for creditors. In 2012, two other companies jointly controlled by Kate and Derek were wound up by creditors. Fulfill Media Ltd had debts totalling £922,807, which included £88,486 owed to HMRC, £90,882 to trade creditors, and £462,808 in 'third party loans'. Countrymouse Media Ltd was liquidated owing £189,121, which included £98,944 to the taxman and £48,000 on an overdrawn directors loan account.

Good Morning Britain's Adil Ray leaves his co-stars stunned as he reveals he went to dinner with a VERY unlikely Hollywood A-lister 12 years his junior
Good Morning Britain 's Adil Ray has recalled he once went to dinner with a very unlikely Hollywood A-lister whose 12 years his junior. The TV presenter, 51, was joined by Melvin Odoom, 45, and Kate Garraway, 58, on show as they discussed the upcoming movie Freakier Friday, slated for release on August 8. But as they chatted about the new flick, which stars Jamie Lee Curtis, 66, and actress Lindsay Lohan, 39, Melvin smirked when the Parent Trap star's name was mentioned. Alluding to a conversation had off-air, Melvin prompted Adil to reveal his connection to leading actress Lindsay after Adil admitted to going for dinner with her. 'Adil, you know Lindsay, right? Are you best mates?,' Melvin said. 'When I say things off air, you're not supposed to repeat them,' quipped Adil. 'I had dinner with Lindsay, me and Lindsay had dinner together. She's lovely.' To which Kate said: 'WHAT?! Stop, how did this happen, where were you?' 'Did you slide in the DM's?,' Melvin joked but Adil quickly clarified: 'It wasn't a date before, you know, it wasn't a date.' 'We had mutual friends and we all went out for dinner,' Adil explained. 'She came along, we sat next to each other and we had a lovely evening. She's absolutely adorable, she's a fantastic human. 'Really smart, really intelligent and really well lived. Just great, great to hang out with. Me and Lindz.' Melvin then changed the topic back to the highly-anticipated release Freakier Friday, though the presenters had far from let the Lindsay news go. 'Will you be watching that, Freakier Friday,' Melvin said to his co-stars. 'I loved the original so yeah, I'll definitely be watching it,' Kate responded. 'And I'll be thinking of the dinner and what might have been.' Adil ended the segment by saying: 'Lindsay, if you're watching, do get in touch.' Freakier Friday - a sequel to the 2003 film - sees Lindsay and Jamie embroiled in quadruple chaos as they swap bodies again - 22 years after they first traded places. Lindsay was just 15 years old when she first portrayed Anna Coleman in Freaky Friday alongside Jamie Lee, who played her on-screen mother Tess Coleman. It follows the bickering mother and daughter after a Chinese restaurant fortune cookie mishap causes them to switch bodies, forcing them to live the other's life. Despite barely having been able to see eye-to-eye, the magical switch eventually allows them to see things from the other's point of view. The sequel will see the iconic pairing switch places once again, though this time there is quadruple chaos in store. Anna (Lindsay) is preparing to tie the knot with to Eric Davies (Manny Jacinto), but things are proving difficult as her teenage daughter Harper (Julia Butters) despises Eric's teenager Lily (Sophia Hammons). Harper highlights her disgust as she's heard reciting mock wedding vows, in which she brands her soon-to-be step-sister 'a little demon thing with an obnoxious accent'. A flash forward to Anna's bachelorette party sees her and mother Tess Coleman sit down with a fortune teller (Vanessa Bayer), who warns them they may learn another lesson by 'walking in each other's paths'. Anna and Tess then find themselves caught up in yet another 'freaky' body swap incident - only this time, it's not just between the two of them. The next morning, Anna discovers she's swapped bodies with daughter Harper, while Tess, aka 'Grandma', is now in the body of Anna's step-daughter Lily. Quadruple chaos then ensues as the foursome try to navigate their new roles with just days to go until the wedding.

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MYLEENE Klass admitted she "doesn't care if people don't like her" after she revealed her ex cheated with another celebrity. Earlier this week, the Loose Women star, 47, said she walked in on her then partner Graham Quinn and another famous woman unzipping each other's clothes at HER birthday party. It was in my house. 'It was my party. They weren't having sex, but they were unzipping each other. '[They said] 'It's not what you think', but it is what I think. It's the first thing they both said." Following the bombshell claim, speculation over the mystery woman has spread like wild fire across social media. And now Myleene has insisted that she has no regrets in her honest interview with the We Need to Talk podcast. Myleene shared her manager's reaction to her podcast appearance, saying: '"You should do it, it would be good for you, but be honest, everyone knows when people aren't honest', my manager before We Need To Talk podcast. "'Errrrr s*** Leens, I didn't think you were going to be THAT honest'.. My manager AFTER We Need to Talk podcast." Myleene said podcast host Paul was able to "see into her soul", allowing her to reveal most intimate details of her life over their five hour recording session. The singer continued: "I flew back from abroad to do this podcast. I'd heard a lot about Paul C. Brunson and had seen the We Need To Talk headlines. "As I've gotten older, more comfortable with being vulnerable, I'm drawn to things that stretch and challenge me. Myleene Klass looks incredible in red bikini on family holiday in Thailand with lookalike sister "I wasn't prepared for how disarming Paul is and how he looks into your soul and pulls out the very core of what makes you tick. "I didn't think he'd be able to do it. "From the outside, what do we have in common? Maybe that was the challenge, to see what he had on me. Turns out, a lot. "We ran into the night, five hours of recording, (subsequently multiple lawyers on both sides listened back and reached for their fire blankets) and we actually REALLY got on. "The two of us in a room brought out raucous laughter, the kind where you throw your head back and ugly cackle, abject sorrow, shock and everything else in between." Myleene admitted she's "no longer scared" to be disliked after becoming a resilient woman over years of being knocked down. "My life has been played out in public for 26 years. I've lost relationships, been turned over (by men, not all men, but always men) and had to rebuild on more than one occasion," she said. "I've also won. I won my jungle crown, my MBE, my family, my place and my peace. "I don't care if people like me anymore, I'm not the terrified 20 year old girl from Hear'say being pelted with chow mein on stage for trying to sing a few songs. "I'm no longer the girl who watched her life go up in smoke, fighting for everything I'd built from people who'd meticulously planned how to take it. "I've been torn down by those who were meant to love me, I think I'll be ok. In fact, I know I will. A mixed race girl, from Norfolk, no one expected much (my school report proves this). "I learned to hustle, stand up for myself and leave the betrayals behind. Who knew being a Mum would be the making of me, as failing meant my children failing (including the ones I never got to hold) and that was never going to happen." 'Utterly devastated' Myleene recalled the moment she caught her ex allegedly cheating on her and what happened in the aftermath. 'I kicked everybody out of the party, including his mum and dad. They went back to Ireland," she said. 'And his dad said, 'He doesn't get it from me'. I was like, 'OK'. I just remember that being quite a weird thing to say.' Myleene admitted she struggled to see the woman continuing as normal after the run-in, explaining: 'I've made peace with that situation now. 'But for a long time, it was very difficult to see their life . . . Not that I would wish that on a family. I don't know, I feel conflicted. 'But my life literally just broke apart very, very publicly. 'And their life, they've managed to continue building a family brand on it and it felt so difficult for a long time. This is the person I caught him with.' Former Hear'Say singer Myleene, 47, had met Graham when he was working as part of the band's security team. Despite the incident, she went on to marry him. They had two children, Ava and Hero, during their 12-year relationship, but were granted a divorce in 2013. Recalling their 2011 wedding in Norwich, which was attended by just 16 people, Myleene said: 'It was the most miserable . . . No one forgot this wedding because I literally cried the entire reception.' It was made worse by the fact that the couple butted heads over her request for him to sign a pre-nuptial agreement. Chatting to Paul C. Brunson on the We Need To Talk podcast, she said: 'So we'd had the biggest row, myself and my ex, because I'd asked him why he wouldn't sign the prenup. 'On the night of our wedding, I asked again. I just felt something was wrong and he didn't want a big wedding. 'My best mate wasn't even at my wedding. They weren't allowed to come, otherwise he wouldn't go through with it.' Months later, the marriage was finished. She said: 'On the day he decided it was over, he pushed a little Post-It note across the table with the figure he wanted. 'I was just like, 'How have you figured this out?'.' But Myleene — who is now engaged to PR guru Simon Motson — added: 'All I will say to you is I've raised my children single-handedly, financially, as a sole parent for 12 years.' 5 Myleene said she's no longer a 'terrified 20-year-old girl from Hear'say' Credit: instagram/@myleeneklass
