Bernese Mountain Dog's Hilarious Refusal to Go Inside Leaves Dog Dad Cracking Up
Sometimes, even the most well-behaved dogs have their off moments. Just like us, they have their preferences, and occasionally ignore our best efforts if something more exciting catches their eye.
And when your dog is the size of a Bernese Mountain Dog, changing their mind isn't as simple as picking them up. Especially when they go into full drama-flop mode, but with these big, lovable goofballs, it's almost impossible to do anything but laugh.
Watch Harley's hilarious standoff with his dad in this Instagram video from July 7:
Although picking up a small, stubborn pup might be doable, it's a different story when you're dealing with a dog like Harley. Bernese Mountain Dogs can weigh well over 100 pounds, and Harley used every ounce of that to his advantage. He didn't just hit the brakes; he flopped, rolled, and made it absolutely clear he wasn't budging. But how can you be mad when they're having that much fun? His dad, Chad, certainly couldn't. He tried lifting him (nope), pleaded with him (still nope), and finally resorted to the one thing that worked, bribery with a stick!
Check out the winning moment in part 2, shared on July 8:
Pet parents felt seen. Viewer @rudybearberner shared, 'Our daily struggle as well 😂 I've learned to embrace it except when I have to really use the bathroom.'
Another chimed in, 'I have a Golden—can confirm that once the stubborn flop is activated, you should immediately acknowledge defeat and await further doggo instructions.'
And @thesideporchcottages nailed it: 'Feel this so deeply. The parking lot at the vet this morning for us.' It seems, if you've ever experienced the art of the doggy protest, you're in good company.
Bernese Mountain Dogs are famously affectionate, intelligent, and gentle. But they can also be strong-willed. And when they decide playtime isn't over, well, you may as well sit back and enjoy the show.
Harley may not have gone inside on Dad's timeline, but he won hearts by doing it his way. With that much fluff and personality, it's hard to do anything but smile.

Colorado YouTuber Basho & Friends releases new educational album for kids
What started out as a small venture has grown into 175,000 YouTube subscribers for a content creator in Colorado. He's teaching kids new words and different languages. Boulder native Basho Mosko has been making fun educational music for kids for over a decade. "I was teaching a mommy and me kind of Spanish course, and they didn't have good materials," Mosko said. "And I was like, 'I can help you make materials.' So I started writing songs that taught languages and put them on YouTube." In the YouTube world, he's known as Basho and Friends. Mosko is completely self-taught and does most of his work right here in Colorado. "I'll do a lot of the scratch tracks here. I'll lay stuff out. I'll punch some stuff out and sort of set a framework for it. And then my producer lives in Brass Valley, California," Mosko explained. Mosko's content has garnered more than 100 million views across platforms, and, while his songs are pretty catchy, Basho and Friends remains a passion project. "This isn't my full-time job," Mosko said. "I have a job at Google doing a broadcast production." Making a difference in a kids' lives, including his own, is what keeps Mosko going. "I had a couple of parents actually emailed me saying that their kids were non-verbal, or they were working with disabilities, and singing my songs was one of the first ways that they started producing language," Mosko shared. Now, the popular YouTuber for kids is dropping a new album with new meaning. It's called "A Way to Be," and it was released Friday on Spotify, YouTube and other platforms where music lives. "With this album, it was going to be another one of those 20 things you need to learn before kids start kindergarten," Mosko said. "But it kind of evolved into something more personal about 20 things that make you a good person. You know that kids around the world universally can learn about and perfect in order to be positive contributors to the world."
