The Skant Is the Perfect Transseasonal Item
While wearing pants underneath skirts and dresses is a perfectly viable option for the transseasonal wardrobe, over the last year or so, I've become particularly interested in the skant—a pair of pants with a built-in overskirt. Last summer, I invested in a pair from Paloma Wool (perhaps the foremost skant producer)—a sheer brown pair with a matching miniskirt. On muggy summer days, I pair it with a tank top and sandals, but when the weather cools down, it works just as well with a cardigan.

I'm not the only one who sees the value of a skant—celebrities are into it, too. Just last week, Jennifer Lawrence went out to dinner in a pair of sheer navy trousers overlain with a below-the-knee skirt, a hole-ridden tee, and strappy Prada kitten heels. The breezy skant was the perfect middleman between Lawrence's ultra-casual T-shirt and her dressier sandals.
Kaia Gerber has also used the skant to add some visual intrigue to an otherwise standard outfit. Late last year, the model livened up a navy crop top and black ballet flats with a gray miniskirt atop straight-legged trousers, also Paloma Wool (are you sensing a pattern?). The Spanish brand isn't the only skant connoisseur, though: Collina Strada, MM6, and ASOS have also offered their take on the doubled-up look.
And for anyone who wants to try a different look, consider a dress over pants set. Last October, Kendall Jenner wore a KNWLS minidress over flare pants. Skants or dress, a coordinated look is a low lift method for elevating your transseasonal wardrobe.

Maryam Nassir Zadeh Fall 2025 Ready-to-Wear Collection
Maryam Nassir Zadeh's fall collection is a reminder that how you wear your clothes is as important as what you put on. This season's lookbook, photographed in a Parisian apartment, is a kind of masterclass in defying convention and exciting the eye. See how cinching a belt inches above the waistline creates an unexpected proportion? Or how tights paired with lucite wedges are so wrong they're right? Nassir Zadeh makes little distinction between men and women; both genders tuck their pants into their boots and both are photographed in a delicious bubblegum-pink leather blouson jacket. In one photo a male model ties a cummerbund-shaped bi-color belt over a pair of luxuriously pleated pants; it's unexpected and effective in zhuzhing up a basic outfit. In Nassir Zadeh's world, spontaneity is encouraged and non-clothes become wearable—that suede fringe that's worn as a skirt is just a narrow band that you can wind around a neck, a wrist, or on top of another garment. One of the foundation pieces of this collection is a bustier top, à la '70s Saint Laurent Rive Gauche. There's one in orange embellished with shell discs that look like Necco wafers. By creating an off-the-shoulder neckline and accessorizing with animal-print boots, a tiered dress goes beyond boho. 'I think for fall there's a vibrancy and an element of uplifting celebration and illuminating something,' said Nassir Zadeh, who explained that the season was in many ways an homage to her beloved grandmother. The designer was actually bringing together memories from her life with her nana, and revisiting her own repertoire. 'The mix is so interesting and yet familiar,' she said. Also a bit off, to great effect. There are a lot of patterned silks of the kind Princess Diana favored in the '80s. These are used for ruffle hemmed skirts and a Juliet-sleeved top. The composition of some of the photos vaguely recall Sheila Metzner's work from that era too—but the MNZ magic is to elude categorization, all the better to let the spirit run free.

7 Nail Polish Colors That Enhance Your Summer Tan: From Milky White to Spritz Orange
Back from enjoying your Euro summer? Pack away the vacation blues: here's why you have to be paying attention to your summer nails. Fresh from summering abroad (or in your sunspot of a backyard), you might be reaching for a glittering body oil to extend the life of your glowing tan—but have you considered your next nail appointment as an optimum time to enhance your sunny complexion? Summer nails = summer tan with a longer shelf life, without the need to bake yourself in the sun. PSA: wear a good SPF everywhere, including your hands. With the right colors, you can make your tan and your hands the basis of your summer 'fits. You can play around with brighter, bolder shades, which harmonize with the undertones of the skin. Or emphasize the warmth with spicier shades such as terracotta and chocolate brown, desert tones, or variants of a classic nude. The best summer nails, then, play with contrasts: white might be a go-to, but tones like charcoal gray or electric blue can become the perfect pop of color to energize the tan. And, then, there are seasonal classics like juicy orange nail polish, zesty yellows, or raspberry pink, as well as some streaks of neon, that still ring true for summer nails 2025. Below, Vogue breaks down some of the best summer nails to keep you looking radiant. Spritz orange What shade represents Euro summer best? A juicy, thirst-quenching orange of course. Situate yourself on the coast of Italy, clutching a cold drink. What's your manicure saying? The image that defines Italian riviera lounging is that of a cool, Spritz-based aperitif. Orange nail polish is perfect for enhancing a tan: a warm shade that plays up the almost spicy highlights in your skin, and that allow a golden complexion to shine. Photo: Instagram (@_pernails) Milky white White nail polish is a classic color that emphasizes the warmer notes in your skin—it feels very '80s Ibiza, totally Balearic. While you might think to reach for a chalky white, really, you should make way for the on-trend, milky, and delicate shades that give the manicure an almost creamy look.

Adanola gains strategic investment to fuel global activewear growth
Adanola, established in 2015 by Hyrum Cook, has positioned itself as a contemporary active lifestyle brand offering both activewear and wardrobe essentials. The brand is a fan favourite among celebrities including Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber, Veneda Carter, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. For the financial year ending 31 March 2024, Adanola reported a significant growth in turnover, reaching £57.11m ($76.10m), more than double the previous year's figure of £27.87m. Its pre-tax profit also increased to £18.98m, up from £8.31m in the prior fiscal. Adanola CEO Niran Chana said: "Adanola's ascent has been fuelled by staying disciplined as a women's product-first, active lifestyle brand. Across all areas of the company, we've curated the partners that support the vision of the brand. 'STORY3's deep experience for building consumer brands will be crucial as we continue to build sustainable, profitable growth across key markets and reinforce Adanola's position as a leader in the consumer sector. I'm incredibly proud of what the Adanola team has achieved to-date, and we're poised and ready for our next chapter." Adanola operates through a direct-to-consumer (DTC) model while maintaining a 'selective' wholesale network with partners such as Selfridges Group, David Jones, Ounass, Equinox, and Soho House. The brand strategically pairs an accessible price point with premium platform partnerships to enhance its brand positioning. Following this investment, Adanola plans to prioritise digital channels and selectively expand its retail presence, including own stores. STORY3 founder and managing partner Peter Comisar said: "Adanola has garnered uniquely strong and authentic relationships with consumers, and we believe the business is in the early stages of powerful global growth. We are honoured to serve as a trusted partner to Hyrum and Niran given our long track record of supporting founders and entrepreneurial executive teams." "We see extraordinary opportunities to support the Adanola team as it leverages its loyal customer base and revered products to continue to expand in its home UK market and within key growth markets including the US," STORY3 Partner Samir Shah added. In June last year, Adanola appointed Niran Chana as CEO to drive growth and lead overall strategy and execution. The brand opened its largest retail space yet with partner Selfridges London in the first quarter of the current fiscal. "Adanola gains strategic investment to fuel global activewear growth" was originally created and published by Just Style, a GlobalData owned brand.
