Yahoo09-05-2025

MOAB, Utah (ABC4) — A tour bus full of children became fully engulfed in flames near Moab due to a mechanical issue Friday morning, according to Utah Highway Patrol. No injuries have been reported in the incident.
The tour bus, which was travelling from the Denver area, was filled with around 36 children that were on a camping trip, according to Lt. Cameron Roden, UHP. The incident occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m. on SR-191.
The driver reportedly noticed that the bus was experiencing a mechanical issue and pulled over to the side of the road. The driver then had all the children onboard evacuate the bus.
Shortly after, the bus caught fire and became fully engulfed. The tour bus was a total loss, according to Roden.
The Grand County School District has sent a bus to transport the kids to a local junior high school. The tour bus company has reportedly sent another bus to pick them up from the school and take them back to the Denver area.
SR-191 was shut down after the incident but has since reopened. No injuries have been reported.
No further information is available at this time.

Taylor Swift Sneakily Attended a Wedding With Travis Kelce in a Strapless Blue Dress

This week, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were guests at a backyard wedding in Tennessee and though all eyes were on the bride and groom, some pictures of the famous couple showed them having a romantic evening of their own. The dress code appeared to be summer casual and Swift fit in perfectly in a strapless blue dress with a small flower pattern, structured bodice, and flowing skirt that ended at her ankles. On her feet, she wore tan high-heeled sandals. The Eras Tour star had her hair half up and wore a bracelet and small pieces of jewelry for accessories. Kelce was wearing dress pants and a short-sleeved button-down shirt in brown. In a TikTok shared by creator @laurenelizabethduhhh, Swift and Kelce can be seen seated side-by-side at a long table, watching the newly wedded couple enjoy their first dance. Swift starts swaying to the music and Kelce joins her in a cute shared moment. Since the end of the NFL season in February, Swift and Kelce have been enjoying some quality time together out of the spotlight. This week, they were seen in Florida together, where Swift wore a classic little black dress to their dinner date. Just before the images of their date night started circulating, a source told Us Weekly that the two were keeping a low profile on purpose right now. 'They are making fewer public appearances together because [their relationship] brings too much unwanted attention, but there isn't trouble in paradise,' the insider explained. A second source shared that Swift has been living in both Miami, where Kelce has been training during his offseason, and New York: 'Taylor has been coming and going to Florida and is still spending a lot of her time in NYC.' And it appears she's making some special time for Tennessee.

Business class flights are a good investment if you're willing to splurge. Here's how 3 airlines compared.

Welcome back to our Saturday edition! Are you ready to splurge on your new summer soles? Here are six shoe trends that are in, and four that are out. On the agenda: Why dairy is so back. Inside Addison Rae's pivot from TikTok influencer to bona fide pop star. Bottle service, Shrek impersonators, oh my! The bachelorette industrial complex is out of control. Fine-dining restaurants are strategizing to survive an uncertain economy. But first: Get in. We're getting outta here! If this was forwarded to you, sign up here. This week's dispatch Jill Schildhouse Business class battle royale If you want your luxe vacation to start as soon as you step foot into the airport, business-class travel nearly guarantees top-tier comfort. From the lie-flat seats to the impeccable food offerings, it's the best kind of splurge — if you're willing to invest in the upgrade. Business Insider contributing writer Jill Schildhouse, who takes at least 50 flights a year and has been to more than 36 countries, went on three business-class flights recently. She compared the offerings from American Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and Qantas. Here's how they fared. American Airlines: After flying 13 hours from Dallas to Tokyo, Schildhouse said her business class seat "was more angled toward the windows, which made it feel more private." She was also impressed by the service. After a flight attendant noticed her drinking a lot of water, they "brought me a huge bottle to enjoy … plus a second one to take with me." Qantas: Australia's flagship carrier scored points for being the only airline to offer Schildhouse pajamas during her long-haul flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne. They were so comfy, she still wears them at home. It was also the only plane to have a vibey lounge area that allowed business-class passengers to "grab snacks and drinks from coolers." Singapore Airlines: Schildhouse was most impressed by this airline during her 16-hour flight from Singapore to Los Angeles. It had her favorite seat "thanks to the plush bedding and three pillows provided when it was turned into a bed." It also scored high points for having her favorite meals that were "full of flavor." Convinced yet? Leggo. Dare to dairy After years of being sidelined by alternative dairy products like oat milk and cashew cream, dairy is poised for a comeback. It's riding the wave of protein enthusiasm that's been dominating health trends. Milk has also become culturally cool again since it's the OG natural drink — gut-friendly and minimally processed. Plus, there's no shortage of options: offerings include everything from chocolate butter to probiotic ice cream and pistachio-flavored kefir. The next milk-fed frontier. Who's afraid of Addison Rae? Addison Rae launched to TikTok stardom by posting lip-synching and dancing videos around the clock. Her first foray into pop music in 2021 was a spectacular flop, both in the critical and popular spheres. Four years later, however, Rae has become pop music's newest "It Girl." That included a slow yet total overhaul of her content strategy, a focus on narrative and nostalgia, and a little help from friends like Charli XCX along the way. Mastering the rebrand. The era of extreme bachelorette parties Gone are the days of a nice night on the town celebrating the bride-to-be. Now, friends of the bride are shelling out money for plane tickets, a space in a crammed Airbnb, a bottomless brunch, merch, and more. Over the past decade, bachelorette parties have become nearly as anticipated — and sometimes as expensive — as the big day. From Etsy shops for decor to concierge services, the bachelorette planning industry is bolstering a whole new subset of the economy. Bride or die. Fine dining? In this economy?! Just as restaurants were recovering from pandemic-era woes, the fine-dining scene has been hit with the soaring costs of goods, labor shortages, and potential tariffs. The restaurant industry won't go down without a fight, though. In times of economic hardship, fine dining needs to feel worth the price — and restaurants are getting creative to retain diners. The key is events and experiences. What we're watching this weekend "Sinners": For their latest collaboration, Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan deliver a haunting vampire tale set in 1930s Mississippi that's streaming on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Fandango. "Becoming Led Zeppelin": The beautifully crafted documentary, available on Netflix, chronicles the formation and early years of one of the greatest rock bands ever assembled. "Stick": In the new Apple TV+ series, Owen Wilson plays a washed-up former pro golfer who finds redemption when he takes an aspiring player under his wing. Extreme traveler is walking more than 8,000 miles from the UK to Asia — here's the exact route he's taking

He's got one hell of a step count. Luke Deakin, an adventurous Brit with a backpack and a dream, is walking from his home in the United Kingdom to Southeast Asia, a journey of more than 8,000 miles — and he's just revealed his exact route. The globetrotting trekker has been vlogging the wild journey on Instagram and TikTok for months, walking alongside fellow Brit Sophie. The daring journey recently went viral after a clip caught fire on a popular Reddit group. 'Right now I'm walking from England to Vietnam and this is the route that I've taken so far and the route I'm going to take,' Deakin explained in the video, originally posted Feb. 28. 'On the 16th of September 2024 I started walking from Stratford-upon-Avon to France and then into Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. I then headed into Austria, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria.' At the time, Deakin was hoofing it through Greece — with Turkey on deck. 3 Brit adventurer Luke Deakin is hiking 13,000km from England to Vietnam — and just dropped his full step-by-step route. @Chubbytrekka / YouTube Along the way, he's been filming everything: chats with locals, snack reviews, and run-ins with roadside cows. 'It's going to take me about two months to cross Turkey where I'll then head into Georgia, Azerbaijan and then take a ferry to Kazakhstan,' he said. 'This is where I'll face logistical nightmares going hundreds of kilometers without food and water. The long stretch of Uzbekistan crossing over into Afghanistan, Pakistan and then over India.' 'Why am I doing this? To prove that normal people can do great things and to have the adventure of a lifetime. I'll then cross into Bangladesh, Myanmar and down through Thailand. Navigating 40 degree heat and rainy season I'll then cross into Cambodia, then Vietnam from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi where I'll finish my journey.' On June 3, Deakin posted an updated video about how he stays online during the trip. 'How I stay connected while walking from the UK to Vietnam! No SIM card hunting, no overpriced plans, just instant data anywhere in the world,' he wrote, plugging the app Saily. 'It's something I use every day on my trip!' He doubled down in the clip: 'Staying connected on my phone is important… imagine how difficult this journey would be without the internet.' 3 The globe-trotting Brit — joined by sidekick Sophie — has been documenting every wild step on Instagram and TikTok, and just blew up after a clip from his @chubbytrekka account landed on Reddit on June 4. @Chubbytrekka / YouTube His route? 'UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam.' He's already racked up 570K followers on Instagram and 236.4K on TikTok — but not everyone's a fan. On Reddit, skeptics questioned his odds. 'People spend 5-7 months walking the Appalachian Trail… this guy stands no chance,' one hater griped. 3 His path? A wild 13,000-kilometer haul through 24 countries — from the UK to Vietnam — with stops in France, Turkey, India, Cambodia and everywhere in between. @Chubbytrekka / YouTube Another shot back: 'He's already walked UK to Eastern Turkey… much further than the Appalachian Trail.' Some argued the real challenge wasn't the mileage — but the map. 'More politically challenging than physical,' one wrote. 'Walking through like 2 or 3 countries dealing with civil war or straight up war lol.' Others on Instagram cheered him on: 'Love following your journey. So f–king cool,' one fan wrote. In his June 1 YouTube update, Deakin revealed a visa dilemma: he had six days left in Turkey with 750 kilometers still to go. 'I want to overstay the visa for about two to three weeks and pay the fine,' he said. 'We're in Turkey. We've walked through 11 countries.' And they're 'in for another year on this trip.' From Stratford-upon-Avon to Southeast Asia? He's not just walking the walk — he's living the long-haul dream.
