Lamborghini debuts Fenomeno, most powerful V12 yet; Winkelmann explains why the V12 isn't done yet

Lamborghini has lifted the covers off the Fenomeno, its most powerful V12 yet, at
Monterey Car Week 2025
. This
limited-run model
celebrates the 20th anniversary of Lamborghini's Centro Stile. During a recent media interaction, we spoke to
Stephan Winkelmann
, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, who shared insights on the car's design philosophy, performance, customer allocation, and more.
Speaking ahead of the world premiere of Lamborghini's latest few-off creation at Monterey, Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO, revealed 'We are going to produce 29 units plus one (the zero car) for us. Pricing will be between 3 and 3.5 million euros.'
He explained that Lamborghini's
few-off projects
began in 2007 as a way to 'test the validity and solidity of the brand' and have now become 'part of our lineup… without saying when and where we are going to present the car.' The latest machine, he said, will sprint from 0–100 kmph in 2.4 seconds and top 350 kmph, with a fully
carbon-fibre body
and 'extensive individualisation in colours and materials.'

Carrying a price tag between 3 and 3.5 million euros, the Fenomeno is powered by the most potent V12 in the company's history. The NA 6.5-litre unit produces 823 hp at 9,250 rpm, paired with three electric motors for a combined output of
1,064 hp
. One of these motors is integrated into the new eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, while two oil-cooled units on the front axle handle torque vectoring and regenerative braking. A lightweight 7 kWh battery allows for around 20 km of pure-electric driving. However, the focus here is on performance: the 0–100 kmph sprint takes just 2.4 seconds, 0–200 kmph is done in 6.7 seconds, and top speed exceeds 350 kmph.

On the customer base, Winkelmann noted, 'The customers are spread around the globe. It's about the single customers, and those are spread all over the globe.' implying that there won't be any targeted market for the 29 units. Winkelmann also spoke about the future of V12s as he said: 'It's key to maintain V12 as long as possible. At least to the year 2035. Maybe longer with
synthetic fuel
. It's a mix between legislation and opportunities like e-fuels that will help keep these engines alive.'
On allocation, he explained, 'We have an allocation system which is very transparent. Together with our dealers, we are approaching those customers (Implying that dealers play a key role in identifying and approaching these top-tier clients first). Almost all the cars are already sold.'
Addressing whether few-offs will take on a bigger role, Winkelmann said, 'It's for sure an add-on. It can't be the main focus, but it's part of positioning the brand and rewarding our most loyal customers.' He drew a clear line between few-offs and special editions: 'This car is not a special edition. A special edition is a car with some features in terms of colour or options but no changes in design. A few-off is top of the line, high investment, and very limited volumes.

MICE promotion bureaus planned in major cities of Kerala

Kochi: MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) promotion bureaus are likely to be formed in major cities of Kerala, beginning with Kochi. State tourism director Sikha Surendran, while inaugurating the valedictory session of three-day Wedding and MICE Conclave here on Saturday, said suggestions came from participants for formation of MICE promotion bureaus, and govt will actively consider the suggestions. Conclave concluded with stakeholders calling for a comprehensive policy framework that helps Kerala emerge as country's foremost destination in the segment by leveraging state's niche strengths as a global tourism brand. Event was organized by Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) Society in association with department of tourism. "State must draw up a strategic global marketing and communications plan that showcases its core strengths as the most ideal MICE destination of India. Positioning Kerala as a hub of wedding and MICE tourism will boost state's participation in allied global events," Surendran pointed out at the session chaired by KTM Society president Jose Pradeep. She urged KTM Society to come out with a detailed report featuring deliberations from the conclave and a focused roadmap to carry forward the momentum set by the meet. "Govt will certainly act upon the key takeaways from this event," she added. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Shaping the Energy Change at Siemens Energy Siemens Energy Read More Undo "Kerala's projected advancements in weddings and MICE segment are not owing to just our natural beauty and cultural cosmopolitanism, but also due to govt initiatives and support from travel and hospitality industry," Surendran said. Delhi's infra boost: PM Modi to inaugurate Dwarka Expressway, UER-II; Rs 11,000 crore project to decongest Capital

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate two major National Highway projects in Delhi on Sunday, with a combined value of nearly Rs 11,000 crore. The inauguration marks a significant step in government's broader plan to ease congestion in the capital and improve connectivity across the region. The projects: the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway and the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II), are expected to greatly cut travel time, decongest arterial routes, and provide smoother links between Delhi and its neighbouring cities. The 10.1 km Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway has been built at a cost of around Rs 5,360 crore. It will not only help traffic movement but also provide multi-modal connectivity to Yashobhoomi, the DMRC Blue and Orange lines, the upcoming Bijwasan railway station, and the Dwarka cluster bus depot. Alongside this, the Alipur to Dichaon Kalan stretch of the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II), including new links to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat, has been developed at a cost of Rs 5,580 crore. This new corridor will ease pressure on Delhi's Inner and Outer Ring Roads, as well as busy intersections such as Mukarba Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, and NH-09. According to officials, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the full 76-km UER-II, developed as the third Ring Road of Delhi, and the 29-km Dwarka Expressway on Sunday. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Could This NEW Collagen Blend Finally Reduce Your Cellulite? Vitauthority Learn More Undo Both roads form a central part of the Centre's Delhi decongestion plan and are designed to reduce bottlenecks across the city's ring roads and arterial networks. The Dwarka Expressway, fully operational, has been built in four packages at a cost of around Rs 9,000 crore. Its Haryana section was inaugurated by Modi in March 2024, just before the Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, the UER-II was executed in five packages with a total cost of Rs 7,716 crore. As per the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the UER-II begins at Alipur on NH-44 and connects with NH-9 and NH-48 in Delhi. Of the 76 km stretch, 54.2 km lies in Delhi while the remaining 21.5 km falls in Haryana. Conceived under the Delhi Master Plan 2021, it will also link the proposed IICC in Dwarka via the Dwarka Expressway, as per a TNN report.
