‘Squid Game' Is Still Blowing Up For Netflix

Yahoo7 days ago
Squid Game's Korean adventures might be over, but the dystopian drama won't stop blowing up records for Netflix.
After the third season of the show debuted June 27 amassed 60.1 million views across its six episodes, which broke the streamer's record for most views for a show in its first three days, it added another 46.3M views, combining for 106.3M views through two weeks, making it Netflix's third-biggest show ever through that time span.

It has also become the third show ever to claim the top three spots on its charts in a single week, after Stranger Things and Money Heist, and the first since 2022. Season 2 scored 4.9M views in the week to put it second among the top 10 non-English shows, while Season 1, which has been in the top 10 for over 30 weeks, added another 3.8M views.
If you've seen the final episode [SPOILER ALERT], you'll understand why Netflix would like to keep the alley way open for potential spinoffs, such as the David Fincher-led project that Deadline told you about last year.
Elsewhere this past week, The Old Guard 2 debuted at No. 1 on Netflix's English-language film list with 37.5M views. The original of the Charlize Theron-fronted action movie, which is based on the graphic novels by Greg Rucka, was released in 2020 so it's impossible to make comparisons. However, the original film did spent another week on the top 10 list with 9.5M views after adding 3.2M views last week.

Our verdict on the new Love Is Blind UK 2025 cast, from a singer to an estate agent

Love Is Blind UK is back! While our lives have been taken over by Married At First Sight Australia and Love Island, Netflix are officially back in the room with a second season of the show, which follows a series of single people hoping to find love, without ever seeing the person they're dating. Hosted by Matt and Emma Willis, the format takes places in 'blind pods', where participants head on speed dates with each other, before whittling down their best matches. Eventually, they must either leave engaged to someone, or still single. Those who say 'yes!' then head on honeymoon, before moving into luxury apartments together, and eventually, down the aisle. So, who'll be taking on this crazy journey, which kicks off on the streaming platform on 13th August 2025? The Love Is Blind UK season 2 cast has finally been announced; and from a singer from Essex, to a cabin crew member from Surrey and a health coach from Kent; here's what you need to know.

This 'Love Is Blind' star says she doubted marriage amid fertility struggle

"Love is Blind" star Alexa Lemieux is opening up about her emotional struggle with fertility. Lemieux, who met and married co-star Brennon Lemieux during Season 3 of the Netflix reality show, revealed in a new interview the toll fertility issues took on their relationship. In a new episode of the "What's the Reality?" podcast from fellow "LIB" contestant AD Smith, Lemiuex got emotional recounting her struggle to get pregnant. "It was hard. It was really hard," she told Smith. "I just remember one time breaking down. Like, 'Do you regret marrying me?' Because we really bonded over having kids together." The couple, who emerged as one of the few successful pairs from the "LIB" season shot in Dallas, welcomed a daughter, Vienna, in July 2024. Her birth came after a difficult year, with Lemieux previously saying that the couple had undergone various fertility treatments and not found success. "I don't know why I'm crying, because I have a baby," she told Smith, tearing up. "But it was hard, and I just remember thinking that it's never going to happen." In the lead-up to the pregnancy, Lemiuex had begun injecting hormones, a common practice in fertility treatment. But, when they resulted in weight gain and mood swings, and still no pregnancy, the reality star revealed she needed to take a step back. "We decided to put a pause because it was a lot of hormones that I was injecting, and so mentally I was not doing great at all," she said. "I was obviously very, very emotional, and from it, was gaining weight, so my body was off. "Then I had people online pointing it out all the time, so that was really hard," Lemieux continued. "And then we just kind of decided to pause it. Let's regroup. And then I got pregnant. And it was a very healthy pregnancy and we're very blessed for that. "It's not always the case, and so we were very, very lucky," she added.
