Katy Perry Escapes Mishap As Stage Prop Fails Mid-Performance; Shocking Clip Goes Viral
Katy Perry faced a tense moment during a recent concert in San Francisco when a mid-air stage prop unexpectedly malfunctioned while she was performing. The singer, who was in the middle of delivering her hit track Roar, managed to keep her composure and continued performing despite nearly falling off a suspended butterfly-shaped structure.
The incident occurred as part of the elaborate stage production designed for her ongoing tour. Perry was seated on a massive butterfly prop that lifted her above the crowd. As she encouraged fans to sing along, the prop suddenly jolted and dropped slightly, causing the singer to briefly lose her balance. However, Katy held on tightly and continued singing, demonstrating remarkable professionalism.
Take a look:
A video of the moment quickly began circulating on social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram. Fans praised her calm reaction. One user wrote, 'She said the singing shouldn't stop which the audience paid for!!! Handled it so well." Another chimed in, 'Look at the professionalism and how she kept singing! Hope she is safe and okay. Some female pop stars just give their everything to create an amazing concert for their fans even if it means risking their own lives!!! Yet ppl will pick some cringe moments from 2 hours show to tear them down?!"
The malfunction also sparked debate about aerial stunts in live shows. 'Starting to feel like more artists should just stay on the ground / stage," said one fan, while another added, 'These pop stars need to stay on the stage, learn from Gaga. First Beyoncé, now her."
Interestingly, the moment comes shortly after Perry and actor Orlando Bloom confirmed their breakup after nearly a decade together. In a joint statement, their representatives said, 'Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting."

Blake Lively drops YouTuber subpoenas while Justin Baldoni case escalates
In a surprise plot twist worthy of a Netflix thriller, Blake Lively has officially called off her subpoena storm against three YouTubers who found themselves tangled in her explosive legal drama with It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni. Yep, the Gossip Girl star has hit pause on what many called a digital witch hunt. Blake Lively's YouTube subpoena saga just got a plot twist According to court documents revealed on 26 July, Lively's team informed the judge they would no longer pursue subpoenas against YouTube creators Kassidy O'Connell, McKenzie Folks, and Lauren Neidigh. The original subpoenas had demanded juicy details like bank account and credit card info, a legal move that sent shockwaves through the creator community. No further info needed, for now In a formal letter to the judge, Lively's legal squad stated that based on what these creators had already shared publicly and during legal exchanges, there was no need to push further. Translation? These three YouTubers are off the subpoena hook, at least for now. Her team stressed that the subpoenas were part of a standard evidence-gathering process. They were trying to trace whether Baldoni's camp orchestrated an 'untraceable' smear campaign using online platforms like YouTube and X (formerly Twitter). Creators clapped back, loud and clear Before the withdrawal, O'Connell and Neidigh had both fired back with fierce letters to the court, accusing Lively's legal team of harassment and intimidation. O'Connell claimed there was zero legal basis for the subpoena and said Lively was stretching discovery with no real evidence. Neidigh slammed it as burdensome and invasive. Even though these three creators are out of the crosshairs, Lively's team is still digging deep into other digital corners. They are determined to connect the dots between Baldoni's PR strategy and a potential smear campaign allegedly designed to silence her. Lively vs Baldoni: The showdown continues Lively's lawsuit alleges sexual harassment and retaliation by Baldoni during the making of It Ends With Us. Baldoni has denied all claims, reportedly hiring a crisis PR team to handle the fallout. While the subpoena drama cools down for some, the main event is heating up, Blake and Justin are set to face off in court on 9 March 2026. So, while this chapter closes, the battle is far from over. Grab popcorn, Gen Z, because this legal drama is far from its season finale.

Patar's poetry finds new script, techie decodes him for other Pb
Chandigarh: Motivated by a love for language and growing demand from readers in Pakistan, Melbourne-based Tejinder Singh has taken it upon himself to translate the works of iconic Punjabi poet Surjit Patar into Shahmukhi, the script used in West Punjab. The 48-year-old computing professional who moved to Australia two decades ago began the project by translating Khudkushi (suicide), one of Patar's acclaimed poems, into Shahmukhi and sharing it on X (formerly Twitter). "I'm surprised to find that Patar remains untranslated into Shahmukhi or English," he wrote. "I start a humble effort to bridge these languages, translating his works one poem at a time." His effort drew praise from British MP Preet Kaur Gill, who posted the original Gurmukhi version in appreciation. Born at Bhagowal village in Punjab's Gurdaspur district, Tejinder Singh said the idea had struck him after repeated requests from readers in Pakistani Punjab. "They want to read Patar, and it's disheartening that his poetry remains inaccessible there largely due to script barriers," he said. Even though trained in computing — with a bachelor's degree from India and a master's from Australia — Tejinder Singh taught himself Shahmukhi using open resources. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Live Updates: Insurance Coverage GIP & GLP-1 Agonists GoodRx Learn More Undo "Shahmukhi is similar to Urdu, but with an extra layer of diacritics for Punjabi sounds," he explained. While he uses artificial intelligence tools during the process, he says he reviews and refines each translation manually to preserve the original poem's emotional and literary essence. The translator believes literature is key to rebuilding lost cultural ties between East and West Punjab. "There are about 3 crore Punjabis in Indian Punjab, but 13 crore in Pakistani Punjab. Our shared literature deserves to be read and loved across the border," he said. Calling his initiative a personal passion project, Tejinder Singh plans to continue translating Patar's poetry to ensure the late poet's work transcends scripts, borders, and generations. One poem at a time, he'll send, a bridge of ink the border can't end. MSID:: 122955215 413 |
