Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins star 'forced to quit' before filming even starts
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, Channel 4's gruelling reality show, is notorious for causing injuries that force stars to withdraw from the competition.
However, a new record may have been set by a participant who was reportedly compelled to leave before filming even began.
Soap legend Patsy Kensit was slated to participate in the forthcoming series of the show. Yet, it seems her pre-show training left her too injured to compete.
Patsy, 57 - renowned for her roles as Sadie King in Emmerdale and Emma Harding in EastEnders - had been taking her commitment to the show seriously, hitting the gym hard to prepare for the challenges she would face on the programme, it's been reported.
Who Dares Wins subjects its contestants to physical and mental tests akin to those experienced by the armed forces, testing their grit and resolve.

However, it has now emerged that Patsy was sent home when she arrived for the new series' filming, having sustained an injury before the cameras started rolling.
An insider revealed that the show's producers instructed the actress to return home to prevent any further harm.
A source confided to The Sun on Sunday: "Patsy had been running at pace on a treadmill while wearing a weighted backpack filled with books and weights as part of her intense training regime.
"The added weight caused her to lose balance and fall backwards off the machine, bruising her arm and shoulder in the process," reports the Mirror.

They continued, revealing: "She even flew out to Morocco, where the filming was taking place, but production soon spotted the injury and she was sent home."
A spokesperson for Patsy told The Mirror: "The production company Minow who make Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins, were amazing the way they looked after Patsy. Their duty of care was second to none and very impressive. Patsy is on the mend and will of course make a full recovery."
At a gala performance of the Faulty Towers theatre show earlier this month in London's West End, Patsy was seen sporting an arm sling.
Upon being queried about her injury at that time, the celebrity disclosed: "I broke my shoulder in 3 places 3 weeks ago!!! I'm healing and a slight boogie with my besties I'm staying with this week will be a tonic for sure."

Despite her setback, the star has been making the most of social opportunities, yet there's one event she's definitively given a pass – attending the Oasis reunion tour dates.
Patsy, who was married to Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher from 1997 to 2000, recently shared her thoughts on the band's reunion tour. The pair share a son, Lennon Gallagher, who is now 25 years old.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Patsy expressed her delight that her son would have the opportunity to see his father perform with the legendary band, which famously disbanded in 2009.

She told the ITV programme: "My 24-year-old son, he'll be there and he'll have a lovely time. Great for him to see all of that and I'm happy for his dad, I think it's a wonderful thing. But I won't be attending."
The brothers will continue touring until late November, with a total of 41 dates scheduled over the coming months. The tour is set to culminate on 23 November in Brazil.

Stand-up comedy 'Angry Boater' tour to start in Llangollen
Joel Sanders is bringing his 'Angry Boater' evening of comedy and stories to Llangollen Fringe Festival this evening at the Town Hall at 7.30pm. In 2008, the former Las Vegas comedian gave up life as he knew it to live on a narrowboat on the UK's unpredictable an archaic waterways. Seventeen-years-later, and he's still floating. (Image: UGC) Formerly, Joel was the comedian with a grand plan of becoming the first Brit to play all 50 US States. He managed 40, performing everywhere from the Deep South's redneck bars to casinos and theatres in the more traditional destinations. Joel, originally from London, lived the dream and worked with many of his comedy heroes, including Robin Williams. And yet, he gave it all up... Speaking to the Leader, Joel said: "There are several somewhat quirky reasons why I moved onto a narrowboat. It's a big chunk of the show so I don't want to spoil it for the audience. "One of the reasons was I figured if I didn't like my neighbours I could untie my ropes, drift off, and... new neighbours. "I've been on a boat 17 years now and that's not how it works anymore. If I don't like my neighbours, I untie their ropes..." Last year, Channel 4's Narrow Escapes followed his adventures, the highs and lows, as he travelled between shows in London and The Midlands. The most recent series even followed Joel as he prepared for his biggest adventure yet - taking his narrowboat out to sea. Joel says it was a privilege to be invited back for a second series after the first was highly praised. "It was tremendous fun", he said. Now in its 12th year, 'Angry Boater' will take everyone on an authentic journey unlike anything you'll see this year. READ MORE The tour kicks off in Llangollen and will tour the UK until late-November when it will conclude in Nottingham. The evening promises to be revelatory as Joel documents his joys and the madness that comes when you swap the comforts of suburbia for a nomadic life on the UK's waterways. The show is a smart, sharp and totally original evening of stand-up, storytelling and brutally honest reflections on chasing dreams, letting go of everything you know and floating into the unknown. Joel adds: "The paradox of narrow-boating is that many people associate it with tranquillity, whistling kettles and windchimes. Once you've lived afloat though, you'll soon encounter a world of stress that a traditional land based lifestyle shields most people from." Get your tickets by visiting
