Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel having 'too much fun' planning wedding
The couple got engaged in August 2023 after four years together but the Celebrity IOU host admitted he and the former New Girl star - who has Elsie, 10, and eight-year-old Charlie with ex-husband Jacob Pechenik - have yet to find the time to set a date for their big day.
Speaking about his new show Chasing the West, Jonathan, 47, told People magazine: 'We've just been having so much fun travelling with the kids and filming this show and stuff.
'So no, we have not actually made any plans yet, which, it's been two years now since I proposed.'
When they do get round to planning their wedding, Jonathan and Zooey, 45, want to keep things "intimate".
He said: 'Whatever we do, it has to be meaningful to us and we want to gather our friends and family and have a good time.
"We want to keep it very, very intimate.'
While making Chasing the West with his brother Drew Scott made Jonathan miss his own upbringing on a 160-acre property in Canada, he doesn't think Zooey would be particularly keen to uproot their lives from Los Angeles, because of the "dirty work" involved, even if it meant she could spend more time around horses.
He said: 'She's an equestrian. She used to jump. So she loves having horses, loves having space.
'I think she's not so much into the dirty work of the ranch, but she definitely is into having the space and room to run.'
At the beginning of this year, Jonathan pledged to find the time to "figure out" his wedding plans.
Asked if they've made any progress with their wedding plans, he told People: "I can guarantee you we have done absolutely zero percent more work. We've just had a lot of things going on.
He shared: "Maybe that'll be my New Year's resolution - we've got to get this wedding figured out."
The couple were "very different people" during their younger years but the building expert has suggested that their interests and ambitions have become more closely aligned over recent times.
He said: "I mean, we've both been married before, but even when we were younger, you're looking for different things, and who knows what we were looking for at that time?"

Kristin Scott Thomas reveals new movie allowed her to confront past tragedies
Kristin Scott Thomas says she has confronted the tragedies of her childhood head-on through her directorial debut My Mother's Wedding. The British actress and filmmaker, 65, known for roles in Four Weddings and a Funeral and The English Patient, has carried profound loss since early childhood as aged five she lost her father, and at 12, her stepfather – both Royal Navy pilots who died in service. Now, after four decades in the industry, she has turned these personal histories into a semi-autobiographical drama. She told People about her My Mother's Wedding movie: 'I felt that it was time to reclaim my story. 'If you read a profile on me, it will more often than not, I mean 99 percent of the time, say 'Tragedy struck' or whatever.' Kristin's film follows three sisters, played by Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller, and Emily Beecham, who reunite for their mother's third wedding in the English countryside. The actress herself stars as the twice-widowed mother. Co-writing the screenplay with her husband John Micklethwait, whom she married in 2024, Kristin says she sought to transform catastrophe into something positive. She added: 'Yes, catastrophe at a young age can be disastrous, and sometimes it just makes you who you are.' John, who has been editor-in-chief of Bloomberg since 2015, helped make the narrative accessible. Kristin said: 'He's very good at organising and editing and making a kind of narrative out of a string of events. And so that's what we did and it was really fun.' Kristin also highlighted a pivotal line from the film's emotional climax in her interview saying: ''Let go of the children you were, and pay attention to the children you have' – that is what growing up is. 'It's much easier to do once you have children because your perspective shifts.' A mother to three kids – Hannah, 37, Joseph, 34, and 24-year-old George – with her ex-husband François Olivennes, Kristin also clarified the daughters' relationship in the film was not modelled on her own family. Instead, it drew on broader observations of sibling dynamics. She said: 'How siblings react and spin off each other, and how one thing said can get completely out of control and turn into something else (is what it is about.) 'Life observation, listening, hearing people, all of those things contribute.'

Rita Ora's plans face push-back from neighbours
Rita Ora is planning to build a futuristic gym in her garden. The 34-year-old pop star owns a Grade II-listed home in North London, but she's angered some locals residents with her plans to construct a gym in the sunken courtyard of the property. According to The Sun newspaper, an objection to Rita's plans reads: "Residents who chose this area for its tranquillity should not be forced to live with artificial lighting, amplified sound or loss of privacy." The residents fear that the plans could "generate conflict, complaints and even legal disputes". The objection continued: "Although acoustic insulation is mentioned, the inclusion of bifold doors suggests that music and voice projection could occur at any hour. "The neighbouring property has a strict rule prohibiting large gatherings or parties, adopted precisely to preserve peace and respect among neighbours. "This proposal undermines that shared understanding and carries the potential to generate conflict, complaints and even legal disputes." Meanwhile, Rita recently revealed that she wants to "celebrate [her] sexuality" through her new music. The pop star released her single Heat in June, and Rita suggested that it was a taste of things to come. The chart-topping singer told People: "The whole theme of this record is really about being instant [and] really direct with my messaging and stripping everything back behind me, production wise." Heat was co-written by Troye Sivan, and Rita admits that she has "a lot in common" with the music star. The singer - who is married to Hollywood film director Taika Waititi - shared: "I love his sexuality and the celebration he has with that. "I was really inspired for me and my womanhood to really kind of celebrate my sexuality, my sexiness and get back into my body, you know? And this really just embodied that." Rita hasn't released a new album since 2023, and she's now keen to reintroduce herself to the public. The pop star - who has been married to Taika since 2022 - said: "I just feel as if I have so many things to sort of remind the public with, especially my new fans. I kind of love the idea of explaining who I am again."

Aaron Phypers insists Denise Richards wasn't interested in their pets
Aaron Phypers has claimed Denise Richards had shown no interest in their pets for the last two years. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star turned up to the home in Calabasas, California where her estranged husband - who she has accused of domestic abuse - lives with his parents and brother on Sunday (03.08.25) in order to get one of her dogs after she accused the 52-year-old star of having another canine put to sleep without her knowledge. And now Aaron has insisted the 54-year-old actress didn't have any involvement with the lives of any of their animals. He told People magazine: "Denise hasn't interacted with the animals in two years and never has wanted knowledge or wanted to give her permission to any type of care for the animals." And a source explained the dog who was euthanised was elderly and "suffering" due to health issues. The insider said: 'Melanie, a sweet elder dog who Aaron loved, had late stage cancer and was suffering when he took her for help as the vet insisted the few days she had left being in pain were better met with putting her to sleep and off to heaven. 'It was a painful decision. To say she was 'put down' is hurtful.' Denise currently has a restraining order in place against her estranged husband, ensuring he stays at least 100 yards away from her, so when she showed up to his house for the dog, he immediately left the property. However, according to audio obtained by People, an emergency dispatcher said Aaron told them after leaving that he 'fears for his parents'. According to TMZ, police were called when the Wild Things star barged in and demanded the dog, screaming at Aaron's parents 'to get out of the house and putting her finger in their faces', and allegedly "swinging at" Aaron's brother and "throwing mail" at him. Although Aaron's family were 'terrified and very shaken up from the incident', police decided no crime had been committed and no arrests were made. Aaron and Denise were married for six years before he filed for divorce on July 7. She later accused him of physical abuse and was granted a temporary restraining order on July 16, though he has denied her claims. He previously said: "Let me be unequivocally clear: I have never physically or emotionally abused Denise - or anyone. These accusations are completely false and deeply hurtful. Denise and I, like many couples, have faced our share of challenges, but any suggestion of abuse is categorically untrue. I have always tried to approach our marriage with love, patience, and respect."
