Loose Women star 'devastated' as co-star is axed from show in brutal ITV cull
Loose Women's Nadia Sawalha has expressed her sorrow after revealing she was "devastated" to learn that a co-star and friend had been let go from the show.
This comes as part of ITV Daytime's cost-cutting measures following a budget cut by the channel, which has significantly impacted Loose Women, Lorraine and Good Morning Britain.
Nadia, 60, discussed on her latest YouTube channel how these changes were affecting her and how one of her close friends was now out of work.

In conversation with her husband Mark Adderley, she said: "From next year there will be no Loose Women audience.
"I am totally devastated by this fact, I can't get over it at all. Not only because the audience is so important for the show, but also my dear friend Lee who I work with every day.", reports the Mirror.
Comedian Lee Peart had been the warm-up act for the last eight years on Loose Women.
The news follows last month's revelation that from January 2026, Good Morning Britain will be extended by 30 minutes to run from 6am to 9.30am daily. This change also sees Lorraine Kelly's show halved.
It will now air from 9.30am until 10am, and only be on our screens for 30 weeks of the year - the same amount of weeks as Loose Women will now broadcast.
It's believed up to a third of the 26-strong pool of Loose Women presenters could now face losing their job. A source previously stated: "Everyone is completely gutted and in shock.
"We can't believe they would dismantle these brilliant shows. It's the death of daytime TV."
Another chimed in saying, "There's no way all the Loose Women will be needed now there'll be far fewer episodes to fill."
Despite trimming down the on-screen shows, the Loose Women team won't be short of work as their podcast, 'Loose Women: The Podcast', is set to continue.
ITV's big shake-up was introduced by Kevin Lygo, managing director of ITV's media and entertainment division. He explained the reasoning behind the changes: "Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres."
He continued to highlight the strategic shift, noting "These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever."
Lygo acknowledged the human cost of the restructuring by adding, "I recognise that our plans will have an impact on staff off screen in our Daytime production teams.
"We will assist ITV Studios and ITN as they adapt to new production methods starting next year, ensuring all are supported throughout this change," he concluded.

Katie Price breaks her silence amid Peter Andre row and says ‘she refuses to be bullied and gaslit'
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) KATIE Price has hit back at ongoing speculation about her family amid an ongoing war with exes Peter Andre and Alex Reid. The glamour model has been making headlines over the past week amid ongoing rows triggered by the launch of her 18-year-old daughter Princess's new reality show, The Princess Diaries. Shortly afterwards, Peter broke his 16-year silence to speak out against his ex-wife, making public for the first time that the kids were court ordered to live with him since 2019. This then set off a chain of events which included reports she had got into a 'rift' with Princess, her second husband, Alex Reid, making his own public accusations against her. Katie initially responded to Peter's claims with a thinly-veiled post about 'saints and sinners', and a singular statement via a lawyer regarding Alex's claim – which showed her counting wads of cash despite being declared bankrupt. But she broke her silence today on the latest episode of her podcast. The mum-of-five briefly addressed the ongoing trouble with her sister, Sophie – saying she "refuses to be gaslit" and standing by what she said. "It's been full on [this week], but I want people to know: I own my s**t," she told Sophie. "It's very well documented, and I've always said how I've learned from my past. I'd always have a reaction to things, then it would spiral out of control, and this and that, and then spiralling out of control would make more headlines. "I'm so at peace with everything. At. Peace. I don't need to rise to people, and what I say on my podcast is generally my opinion, what I feel, and I don't lie about anything. Nothing." "Everything's in my lawyer's hands now," she continued. "I'm not being bullied or gaslighted anymore from anybody." Princess Andre breaks silence on Peter and Katie's bitter feud after his blistering statement She then couldn't resist a swipe at her exes, stating: "I find people from my past still go beyond about me. It's like, are they all that's obsessed? Just chill out and get on with your own life." However, she did set the record straight about the relationship she has with her two children, 20-year-old son Junior and Princess, 18, whom she shares with Peter, insisting they get on well even if they don't appear on her social media. "I will say one thing: I don't have to go on social media, and always, the amount of times I see Junior, I don't go to Junior, 'Oh Junior, while I'm around your house - and Jasmine - can we all do a picture just to show that I'm round your house and we're doing dinner?' "I don't have to prove it to anyone, because I know. I've been there done that. It's like with Princess, I see her all the time. I don't have to do pictures now all the time." As Sophie credited Princess for being in "good spirits" about the ongoing attention, Katie added: "She knows the score, she knows what it's like, but she also knows, because we always talk, we know that everything's not always what it seems. "I love my kids, and that's all that matters – and they love me." 7 Katie's annoyance at being excluded from Princess's series kickstarted a string of accusations Credit: ITV 7 Alex shared a video of Katie counting wads of cash despite being declared bankrupt Credit: PA 7 Katie told "those in her past" to "get a life" calling them "obsessed" with her Credit: Getty

Frankie Bridge breaks silence on Loose Women feud after tensions behind the scenes with co-star Myleene Klass
The pair last appeared together last year in very uncomfortable scenes BUILDING BRIDGES Frankie Bridge breaks silence on Loose Women feud after tensions behind the scenes with co-star Myleene Klass Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) FRANKIE Bridge has broken her silence about Loose Women amid tension behind the scenes. The Saturdays singer, 36, is at the centre of decade long feud with fellow presenter Myleene Klass, 47, as well as having a strained relationship with ITV regular and her bandmate Rochelle Humes. But Frankie has now brushed any drama under the carpet and insists she loves being part of Loose Women - and the people she works with. She said: 'I love it! The women are all so funny and supportive. Behind the scenes team are just as amazing and integral to the show. I'm very lucky. 'I've consistently worked with amazing women for the best part of my career and I wouldn't have it any other way.' However, sources previously told The Sun that Frankie and Myleene would rather not be on Loose Women together at all. While they avoid each other in the corridors at ITV, one frosty reunion was captured on camera when Frankie and Myleene made a very rare appearance together on Loose Women on December 30. Myleene used to be mates with The Saturdays singers but their friendship ended when she split from her ex husband Graham Quinn. Frankie and Rochelle worked with Quinn when he was their bodyguard during their pop star days, and the girl band stars remained friends with him. The women were all once close, with Loose Women hosts Myleene and Frankie attending Rochelle's hen do back in 2012. In 2013, soon after Myleene's divorce from Quinn, guests at the Glamour Women of the Year awards saw her storm over to Frankie after believing she had been blanked. Watch the awkward moment feuding stars Myleene Klass and Frankie Bridge come face to face on live TV A source said: 'Myleene seemed to take that as Frankie taking sides with Graham because of their working relationship." Earlier this month Myleene spoke about her painful divorce on the We Need To Talk podcast where she accused Quinn of cheating and said she had "the receipts" to prove it. Speaking about her ex, Myleene said: "I walked in on him with a famous person on my birthday on a balcony. "I've made peace with that situation now but for a long time it was very difficult to see their life… not that I would wish that on a family."
