Taylor Swift on Travis Kelce's podcast? Swifties think it's about to happen. Here's why

Yahoo2 days ago
Travis and Jason Kelce are going to have a "a special episode with a VERY special guest" on their "New Heights" podcast this week.
That's big news ... because that mystery guest can be only one person, right?

Just to be clear, the person in question would be Travis Kelce's girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Kelce and Swift have been an item for roughly two years now. And while the "Love Story" singer has become a fixture at NFL games to root for her beau, she has never appeared on the popular podcast the Kansas City Chiefs tight end hosts with his brother, a retired Philadelphia Eagles center.
That could change in a couple of days, based on a tease posted on the "New Heights" social media accounts Monday — and on Swifties' interpretations of the tease. The text is straightforward, simply informing fans of the special nature of the episode and the guest and noting it will drop Wednesday at 4 p.m. PDT.
The real juicy bits, though — if Swift's fans are to be believed — are apparently found in the post's graphic. Over the years, Swifties have become pretty good at spotting and deciphering Easter Eggs, so here's what jumped out at the "You Need to Calm Down" singer's diehard fans (based on observations they posted on social media and Reddit):

1. A silhouette of a slender person with long hair appears between images of the Kelce brothers, and naturally fans are convinced it can only be that of one particular slender woman with long hair. One commenter on X insists they can see Swift's bangs in the completely darkened image.
2. Jason Kelce appears to be wearing a shirt bearing Swift's image. Swifties are noting that the garment is from the Eras tour and that Travis is wearing one from that tour as well. This reporter, who did not attend the Eras tour, has no reason to doubt them on this.
3. The graphic's background color is orange and sparkly. This apparently is seen as a reference to a particular dress Swift wore during the Eras tour. (Although didn't she famously change her outfit more than a dozen times during each performance? Or so we've heard.)
4. Travis Kelce has a giant smile on his face. OK, sure, he has probably smiled numerous times during his life — like, say, maybe after at least one of the three Super Bowls he won with the Chiefs. But apparently he has a special grin reserved for the "Lover" singer, which one X commenter refers to as his "Tay smile."

There are many other observations — including several that involve numbers, math and calendar dates — all of which clearly add up not only to Swift being the podcast's "VERY special guest" but also that she will be there to announce something else very special, like perhaps a new album. (Reminder: This is only a fan theory; please remain calm.)
It wouldn't be the first time this summer that Swift has made an appearance during one of her boyfriend's projects. In June, she gave a surprise acoustic performance of her hit 'Shake It Off' at a concert linked to Kelce's Tight End University camp.
Come to think of it, Swift was introduced onstage that night by singer Kane Brown as a 'really, really, really special guest.' That's pretty darn close to "VERY special guest," don't you think?

Jason Kelce earned well-deserved love for Taylor Swift interview

The podcast of the year took place on Wednesday night as Taylor Swift appeared on New Heights for the most in-depth interview the singer has conducted in years. It was clear that the 14-time Grammy winner chose this outlet for this particular interview because she felt comfortable with the hosts and the format. Swift has been dating Travis Kelce for two years, and it was Kelce's podcast with his brother, Jason, that jumpstarted their relationship. The two hour episode amassed over 8.6 million views in just 12 hours of it being live, and the interview covers everything from Travis and Taylor's relationship, her new love for football, her obsession with baking bread, her family's health and -- of course -- Swift's new album. While the announcement of Swift's 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, was the driving topic for the interview, it wasn't the lone discussion item. Throughout the entire flow of the episode, Jason Kelce served as an incredible host. The former Philadelphia Eagle asked thoughtful questions, seamlessly flowing between topics and hitting on questions that Swifties have been dying to ask for years. Jason and Taylor have an obvious camaraderie, and the friendship between the two made it all more relaxed. It felt more like viewers were grabbing a beer with their pals than watching an interview. Viewers online were appreciative of Jason's hosting skills, sending lots of compliments his way. Do you think the Super Bowl winning center ever would have assumed he would be compared to Barbara Walters? Add it to the resume.

After glitch, 'New Heights' dropped 20 more minutes with Taylor Swift. What you missed.

"New Heights" had a brief interruption, a slight malfunction after the YouTube version of its episode with Taylor Swift was unexpectedly cut short. "We hit a glitch but will be back shortly!!!" the show's X account wrote around 8:45 p.m. ET on Aug. 13, roughly an hour and 45 minutes into the episode's premiere. The episode of the show, which is hosted by Swift's NFL player boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce, featured the singer's reveal of her upcoming album, "The Life of a Showgirl." Over a million people were watching the stream when the glitch happened. The full recording, which is about two hours long, was available on Spotify. "Swifties so powerful we broke the internet," WNBA star Caitlin Clark wrote in a post on X. Shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 14, "New Heights" posted that the full episode was up on YouTube. "Shoutout to the amazing team at @YouTube for helping get this fixed!!!" the show's account posted. While many fans still caught the audio on other platforms, those streaming on YouTube might have missed the last 20 minutes, which featured a rapid fire question round. Here's what happened. Taylor Swift reveals what inspired Eras Tour cleaning cart arrival Swift confirmed that it was her idea to hide in a cleaning cart before going onstage at every Eras Tour show. "I wanted to curate and really romanticize the images that (fans) were seeing first," Swift said. "So I didn't want them to see my first outfit and my first look which would have given away what the first era was." She also said she initially planned to use the cart at the first show, but "then I just got attached to it." "There's a weird little side of me that likes sneaking around and and I think the fans found it funny, too," she said. "They're like, 'What a weirdo. We've come to see a weirdo in concert. Why is she doing that?'" How Jason Kelce's kids met Taylor Swift's cats Travis Kelce revealed that Jason Kelce told his kids Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett and Finnley that cats are poisonous. Swift said it made for "a great challenge" when the girls met her cats Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button. "It was my goal to prove to them that they weren't poisonous," Swift said. The singer said her cats "are so good with kids." "They're like 'Meredith is here.' I'm like, 'Yep. And you know what? She didn't bite you at all, did she? No, she didn't. And if she did bite you, she wouldn't be poisonous,'" Swift said. "They're like, 'That's not what our dad said.' I'm like, 'Well, I heard you're getting a cat.'" Was Taylor Swift in 'Happy Gilmore 2'? After Travis Kelce appeared in "Happy Gilmore 2," internet conspiracists began theorizing that Swift may have made a secret cameo as a bear who attacks Kelce. "Can you confirm or deny this rumor?" Jason Kelce asks, to which Swift says, "I can deny." "We're just sort of at this point we're just like, 'Of course they think I'm inside of a bear costume," she said before adding, "I'm honored to be thought of in that context 'cause I loved that movie so much." Taylor Swift on being on NFL field for first time: 'I've never seen this many cameras' When asked about her "welcome to the NFL moment," Swift said it was the first time she stepped onto a field after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens in January 2024. "Everybody's screaming and his mom goes, 'All right, let's go down to the field,'" Swift said. "And I was like, 'What? We're doing what?'" She explained, "So I'm walking out onto this field and it's just like, 'Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. There's so many lights. I've never seen this many cameras. I've never seen this much media in my life.' And I've seen a lot of media." Melina Khan is a national trending reporter for USA TODAY. She can be reached at

I'm Watching Every Conjuring Movie Before 'The Conjuring: Last Rites.' Here's Where to Stream Them All

When The Conjuring debuted in 2013, directed by James Wan, the movie felt like a throwback to atmospheric 1970s horror flicks such as The Changeling or The Manitou. From its simple opening title card -- yellow text on a black background -- to its relatively little gore and slow build of suspense, The Conjuring was a breath of fresh air. It arrived at a time when the horror genre was rampant with gruesome movies like Saw (which was also directed by Wan) and Hostel. The Conjuring kick-started not just a film franchise, but a universe, complete with spin-off movies, some of which have their own sequels. The movies focus on real-life paranormal investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) Warren, whose occult cases make for excellent movie material, whether you believe in them or not. Over a decade after the original film debuted, the latest series entry, The Conjuring: Last Rites is going to possess the box office on Sept. 5, 2025. As a massive fan of The Conjuring -- I've visited several filming locations and even watched the 2013 movie in the house where it was filmed -- I'm rewatching all of the movies before the new one. Here's where you can binge all The Conjuring films for a spooktacular marathon. How many The Conjuring movies are in the series? Overall, there are nine films in The Conjuring universe. The main series includes the 2013 original, The Conjuring 2 and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, with the fourth -- Last Rites -- coming this fall. Additionally, there are six spin-offs: three Annabelle flicks, two The Nun movies and The Curse of La Llorona. Here's how to watch the entire Conjuring franchise in order by release date: The Conjuring (2013) Annabelle (2014) The Conjuring 2 (2016) Annabelle: Creation (2017) The Nun (2018) Anabelle Comes Home (2019) The Curse of La Llorona (2019 The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) The Nun II (2023) Should you watch all The Conjuring movies before Last Rites comes out? With a whopping nine films, including spin-offs, a Conjuring marathon is a hefty commitment. At a minimum, I'd recommend watching the first three Conjuring movies to stay current on the central Ed and Lorraine Warren plotline. Of the offshoots, The Curse of La Llorona is the most skippable -- its loose connection to the rest of the franchise is Father Perez (Tony Amendola) from Annabelle. So if you want to shave a bit of time off your binge-fest, you can lose La Llorona. If you can manage a full franchise binge fest, you'll get more out of Last Rites, as I imagine there will be easter eggs and nods to Annabelle as well as The Nun. You can stream all The Conjuring films in one convenient place The entire The Conjuring series is available to watch on HBO Max, making it easy to dive into the franchise. Warner Bros. Discovery HBO Max Carries The Conjuring series HBO Max, which has the whole The Conjuring franchise, costs $10 a month for Basic with Ads, $17 a month for Standard or $21 a month for Premium. With a virtual private network, or VPN, you're able to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet, laptop or streaming device to access the film from anywhere in the world. There are other compelling reasons to use a VPN for streaming, too. A VPN is the best way to encrypt your traffic to stop your internet service provider from throttling your speeds. Using a VPN is also a great idea if you're traveling and want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and log-ins when connecting to Wi-Fi networks. Streaming TV can be a bit smoother with a reliable, quality VPN that's passed our tests and meets our security standards. You can use a VPN to stream content legally as long as VPNs are legal in your country and you have a valid subscription to the streaming service you're using. The US and Canada are among the countries where VPNs are legal, but we advise against streaming or downloading content from illegal torrent sites. We recommend ExpressVPN for streaming, but you may opt for another of our top-rated VPNs, such as Surfshark or NordVPN. Follow the VPN provider's instructions for installation and choose a country where a Conjuring movie is streaming on HBO Max. Before opening the app, ensure you're connected to your VPN using your selected region. If you want to stream one of the movies on multiple devices, you may need to configure each one to make sure you're signed in to your VPN. If you encounter streaming issues, first make sure your VPN is enabled and that you're connected to a server in the right country. Double-check that you've followed the installation instructions correctly and that you've selected the right geographical area for viewing. If you still have connection problems, you may need to restart your device. Close all apps and windows, restart your device, and connect to your VPN first. Note that some streaming services restrict VPN access.
