Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 hits PS5 on August 12

Engadget25-06-2025
Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 will be released for PS5 on August 12 . We knew the port was coming this summer , and now we have an actual date. Ninja Theory says the title will be optimized for both the standard-issue PS5 and the more powerful PS5 Pro. This is a real homecoming for the franchise, as Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was originally released for PS4 back in 2017.
That PS5 release date coincides with the cross-platform launch of Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Enhanced . This version includes a performance mode that pushes the frame rate up to 60FPS. Ninja Theory says this results in smoother gameplay that's "especially noticeable during combat and fast-moving moments." This mode won't be available for Xbox Series S.
The PC version is getting a new "Very High" preset to push the settings to the max and the update includes optimizations to make the game Steam Deck Verified. We love to see it.
Hellblade II Enhanced also includes a new gameplay mode that significantly amps up the difficulty, complete with perma-death. Beyond that, there's a developer commentary track and a refreshed photo mode. These features arrive as a free update. The PS5 version of the game will cost $50, though there's a Deluxe Edition available for $70 that also includes the soundtrack and an optimized version of the original Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice .
For the uninitiated, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is a third-person adventure that first hit the Xbox and PC in 2024. The brutal and gorgeous game is set in Iceland during the 10th century. We called it an outstanding "interactive brutality visualizer" in our original review , going on to call out the game's "extended, extremely anxious and violent vibe." Let's hear it for simulated violence!

Long-Awaited PS5 Game Might Finally See the Light of Day Soon

Rumor has it that PS5 players might finally get to see a new game in a fan favorite retrofututistic franchise. In case the image above didn't make it obvious, we're talking about a potential BioShock 4 reveal. Will PS5 get BioShock 4 before Ken Levine's new game, Judas? Back in May, it was reported that 2K Games is gearing up to announce something related to the BioShock franchise. Leaker Kurakasis has now shed some more light on that report. In a post on X, the insider claims that 2K is preparing an Alternate Reality Game (ARG) for the reveal. For the uninitiated, it means we'll get some type of an interactive game that has fans guessing, looking for clues, and putting together pieces of the puzzle, ultimately leading to a reveal. According to Kurakasis, the ARG will revolve around Rapture, but what they can't confirm is if this ARG will lead to the reveal of the rumored BioShock 1 remake or the movie. Frankly, it would be a bit silly for 2K to plan a whole ARG surrounding a remake or a movie, so our money is on a BioShock 4 reveal, but don't hold your breath. The next BioShock game is not being developed by series creator Ken Levine, who is working on a new IP for 2K. Like the next BioShock game, Levine's upcoming title Judas has spent eons in development, and so far, we have seen no signs that it'll be out anytime soon. Will we get BioShock 4 before Judas? Your guess is as good as ours! The post Long-Awaited PS5 Game Might Finally See the Light of Day Soon appeared first on PlayStation LifeStyle.

Dell 15.6″ Laptop (32GB RAM, 1TB SSD) Is Nearly Free, This 4.7-Star PC Is 80% Off and Cheaper Than AirPods Max

Finding a laptop that feels at home on the kitchen table, in a classroom, and on the couch is not easy, especially when you want space to work without a bulky machine. The Dell 15.6″ Laptop Computer for Home and Student (32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD) hits a sweet spot. The screen is large enough for side by side windows, the keyboard invites real typing instead of pecking, and the whole package stays light enough to carry to the library or the local café. If your current computer groans every time you open a few tabs, this Dell feels like a reset button for daily work. Head over to Amazon to get the Dell 15.6″ Laptop Computer for Home and Student for just $530, down from its usual price of $2,200. That's a discount of $1,670 and 76% off. See at Amazon Start with the display. A 15.6 inch panel gives your eyes a break during long reading sessions, and there is room to keep notes on one side while a lecture or spreadsheet sits on the other. Colors look pleasing for movie breaks, and text stays crisp enough that you are not constantly zooming in. The bezels are slim, which keeps the footprint reasonable in a backpack. Typing comfort matters more than people admit, and this keyboard understands the assignment. Keys have a steady feel, there is a number pad for quick data entry, and the roomy touchpad behaves when you scroll through long PDFs. A clear webcam sits above the screen for classes and meetings, and a simple privacy shutter lets you close the view when the call ends. Little touches like that make busy days calmer. Speed is where the upgrade really shows up. A modern processor and fast solid state storage help the system wake quickly, launch apps without drama, and juggle research tabs while streaming music in the background. Wi-Fi is strong enough to handle crowded homes and campus halls, and Bluetooth pairs easily with wireless earbuds or a mouse. Ports cover everyday life, including USB for older accessories, USB C for quicker transfers, HDMI for a larger monitor, and a headset jack for quiet study sessions. Battery life carries through a mix of classes and work blocks, and a quick top up during lunch gets you ready for the evening. The chassis feels sturdy without looking stuffy, and the finish resists fingerprints so it stays presentable after frequent travel. Slide it into a sleeve, grab a notebook, and you are out the door. If you need a reliable machine for school, remote work, and a little streaming after hours, this is an easy pick. The Dell 15.6″ Laptop Computer for Home and Student is still available for $530 at Amazon, a big drop from the regular $2,200 price. See at Amazon

Is Marvel Cosmic Invasion cross-platform?

Back in the day, the main appeal of heading down to the local arcade was to meet up with friends to play together. This could be going head-to-head in a fighting game, or teaming up in one of the many beat-em-ups on offer, which Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a clear throwback to. With the arcade scene all but dead, this game finds its home on the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC, with local and online 4-player co-op. Considering most of us will be jumping online with our friends, the question becomes whether or not Marvel Cosmic Invasion offers cross-platform support. Before you insert your quarter, I'll give you the lowdown. Does Marvel Cosmic Invasion have cross-platform support? Yes, Marvel Cosmic Invasion does indeed have cross-platform support. Featuring a roster of 15 heroes from across the Marvel universe, players on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC can enjoy drop-in, drop-out co-op regardless of platform. Even though Marvel Cosmic Invasion does feature a unique tag system where each player can swap between two heroes, this is a game that is best enjoyed with friends working together and pulling off heroic combos on the enemies. You can still enjoy the game alone, but you shouldn't have to thanks to it being available on both current and last-gen consoles. Recommended Videos There has been no official word on whether Marvel Cosmic Invasion has any form of cross-progression, but my instincts tell me it will not. There doesn't appear to be much to unlock or progress to carry over in this game since all the characters are readily available so I don't know what there even would be to move between platforms. Of course, if I learn a definitive answer to this question I will update this article so you won't be surprised when you pick the game up.
