Guests and release date revealed for second season of Meghan's lifestyle show

Yahooa day ago
Netflix has released a trailer for season two of the Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle show – a day after the Sussexes announced a watered-down deal with the streaming giant.
The teaser, which Meghan also shared on her Instagram, revealed that the next instalment of With Love, Meghan will air in two weeks' time on August 26.
Among the celebrity guests joining the former Suits star during the eight episodes will be US model and TV personality Chrissy Teigen and Queer Eye star Tan France, as well as podcaster Jay Shetty and his cookbook author wife Radhi Devlukia.
Also appearing will be chefs Samin Nosrat, Clare Smyth, Christina Tosi, Jose Andres and David Chang, and Meghan's close friends, pilates instructor Heather Dorak and make up artist Daniel Martin.
The trailer, to the soundtrack of Bobby Day's upbeat Rockin' Robin, showed Meghan cooking, baking and crafting with her celebrity friends and saying: 'I love the idea of just spending time together … and finding new ways to show people you care.'
She adds while being shown wrapping a gift: 'There are easy ways to show up, lovingly.'
Meghan also reveals the Duke of Sussex is not a fan of lobster.
She tells Andres as they prepare a dish together: 'Do you know who doesn't like lobster? My husband,' with the chef replying, prompting laughter from Meghan: 'And you marry (sic) him?'
On Monday, Harry and Meghan announced a 'multi-year, first-look deal for film and television projects', in contrast to their reported 100 million dollar (£74 million) contract five years ago.
PR and crisis expert Mark Borkowski described it as a 'downgrade', and suggested Netflix was 'pivoting away' from Harry and Meghan.
Season one of With Love, Meghan was savaged by critics.
One review in The Guardian described it as a 'gormless lifestyle filler' and 'so pointless it might be the Sussexes' last TV show'. The series has a 3.2 rating out of 10 on imdb.com.
Netflix said at the time that the second season had already finished filming.
The duchess officially launched her lifestyle brand As Ever, in which Netflix is a partner, just hours after season one premiered in March.
She has gone on to sell jam, pre-made baking mixes, herbal tea and rose wine – as well as flower sprinkles, which she heavily promoted during the programme and which are also seen being used in the new trailer.

Catherine Zeta-Jones Reveals the Surprising Career Path She'd Choose If She Wasn't an Actor (Exclusive)

The star sits down with her 'Wednesday' costar Jenna Ortega to discuss her passions outside of acting and the new season of the Netflix hit NEED TO KNOW Catherine Zeta-Jones reveals her passion for a creative field outside of acting while sitting down for an interview with her Wednesday costar Jenna Ortega The two stars discuss season 2 of the hit Netflix show, the first half of which premiered on Aug. 6 Zeta-Jones and Ortega also share how they are most similar Catherine Zeta-Jones is opening up about her talents beyond acting. In an interview for PEOPLE, Zeta-Jones' Wednesday costar Jenna Ortega asks her what profession she'd want to have if she wasn't an actor. "I think it would be in architecture and interior design my beautiful Jenna," says Zeta-Jones, 55. "I have to say it's a passion, and I am thinking about doing an online course to get a degree in it." Upon hearing that, Ortega, 22, says she needs "help" with decorating her own space. "If you walked into my place, it looks like nobody lives there," she says. "There's just books all over the floor." Zeta-Jones is up for the challenge. "Give me dimensions, give me some aesthetics!" she says. "I'll send you some great ideas. I love doing that — especially with other people's money." Since the first half of the long-awaited second season of Wednesday premiered on Netflix on Aug. 6, fans have been buzzing about the stars' return to the Addams Family universe, with Zeta-Jones back as matriarch Morticia and Ortega as her sharp-witted teenage daughter Wednesday. During the interview, Ortega asks how Zeta-Jones made her Morticia different from other Morticias. "Well, I respect everyone who has come before me because they've all had such wonderful attributes," Zeta-Jones says. "Getting into the shoes of a role like Morticia is like doing Lady Macbeth. Thousands of great actresses played Lady Macbeth through centuries, but Judi Dench did it different. Judi Dench did it her way. So I feel honored that I'm in such a great line." "I think a note that rings true in my ears that [series creator Tim Burton] gave me, and I'm sure all of us, was just to keep our characters rooted in realism," she continues. "You can push the caricature of it all as long as it's rooted in truth. When I think of Wednesday season 1, I think of Jenna's dance and her playing the cello." Ortega notes that "the cello has been the most difficult thing of the entire show." At one point during the interview, Zeta-Jones asks Ortega if she's given her any advice that's stuck with her. "Not to blow smoke or anything, but I feel like I take everything that you say very seriously, whether it be a joke or about the business and work," Ortega says. "I respect you. I respect your history and film. I have immense passion for you. I feel like you don't take yourself too seriously, but you take your craft immensely seriously. You've got a really good balance and understanding of what it means to operate in this industry, and I think I would like to be like you in that sense." Zeta-Jones — who has daughter Carys, 22, and son Dylan, 25, with husband Michael Douglas — says she and Ortega share a lot of similarities. "I feel like I am part of you and you are part of me in a lovely way," Zeta-Jones says. "First of all, I think we have a drive and an appreciation for what we do as a craft as opposed to celebrities at large. We have a sense of humor we both pick up on. I sometimes look at younger images of myself, and we do look similar. Even Carys said you can see a lot of Jenna in the photographs." Ortega says "that's the greatest gift of my life, if that's in any way, shape or form true." The first half of season 2 of Wednesday is streaming on Netflix now. The second half of the season premieres Sept. 3. Read the original article on People

Leonardo DiCaprio Said He's "Emotionally 35" Years Old In A Rare Interview, And The Internet Has Some Thoughts

Leonardo DiCaprio — one of the most famous actors in the world, easily — turned 50 last year. Here's a picture of him from earlier this summer. OK, so here's a picture of Leonardo at the Golden Globes back in 2010, when he was roughly 35 years old. Why am I showing you this, you may ask? Related: Well, Leo recently granted an extremely rare interview with Esquire in conversation with celebrated director Paul Thomas Anderson — who helmed the forthcoming film One Battle After Another, which Leo stars in. That's a very Leo-centric poster for it below. In the interview, PTA asks the following: "Here's a question Esquire wants me to ask. 'You turned fifty last year. Does it feel like a natural time for reflection?' Leo replied by seemingly clarifying the question as, 'You turned emotionally thirty-five last year.' Now, as you're probably aware, Leo has established a pattern in the past of dating women under or around 25 years old — and seemingly discontinuing the relationship when they turn 26. (It also should be noted that his alleged current relationship with 27-year-old model Vittoria Ceretti breaks that pattern.) So, of course, Leo talking about feeling younger as an older man is an easy layup for the internet's many wisecrackers. Here's a sampling of the reactions: Related: Related: Related: Spicy stuff! WEAPONS Director Zach Cregger Reveals Two Possible Backstories for Aunt Gladys — GeekTyrant

If you've already seen Weapons , you know that Aunt Gladys is one of the creepiest horror villains in recent memory. But where did she come from? According to Zach Cregger, the director behind this year's massive horror hit, there's more than one answer to that question. Weapons stormed into theaters and pulled in $43 million in its opening weekend and quickly climbing past $80 million globally. With a cast that includes Amy Madigan, Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Benedict Wong, and Alden Ehrenreich, the film has become one of 2025's biggest box office surprises. At the center of all the terror is Amy Madigan's character, Aunt Gladys. On the surface, she seems like just another sweet old clown lady. But fans quickly find out that she's a witch who preys on missing children to heal herself. Her true age is never confirmed in the film, adding to her unsettling mystique. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Cregger broke down the two possible origin stories he gave Madigan to work with. 'I was like, 'You can pick one of these two,'' he said. The first version is more grounded in dark realism. 'She had to adopt this methodology that she uses out of a place of emergency to keep herself alive. I won't say any more than that.' The second version pushes deeper into the supernatural. Aunt Gladys isn't human at all, just something trying to pass as one. 'That's an interesting way to think about it. I like that a lot,' Cregger added. She wears exaggerated makeup and a red wig to mimic a human appearance, but something always feels… off. And there's another layer too. Cregger drew a parallel between Gladys' twisted magic and real-world struggles like addiction. 'This foreign substance comes in and it changes everyone's behavior. 'The house becomes a scary place. You can go to school and act like everything's cool, and then you come home and you hide from a zombie parent. That felt so real to me.' Whether you see Aunt Gladys as a sick old woman clinging to life with dark magic or as a monstrous entity trying to imitate humanity, one thing's clear. Weapons has given horror fans a villain they won't forget anytime soon.
