Broncos' All-Pro guard Quinn Meinerz impressed by QB Bo Nix's improvement
'I've said it over and over again, [I've] been impressed [by Nix] every single week," Broncos All-Pro guard Quinn Meinerz said after the 2024 season wrapped up. "He continued to show improvement, and I think that's the only thing you can really ask for from a young player. Players at any position are trying to improve. I'm excited for him.
"That rookie year is kind of tough. You have your college season, you have the pre-draft stuff, you have Combine training and then you go through an NFL season. I'm excited for him to get some time off. That's what he needs right now is to get some time off to reset a little bit because the next season will be here quickly.'
Nix played through a back injury last season, and he opted out of the Pro Bowl to undergo ankle surgery after the season. Despite those ailments, Nix had an incredibly impressive rookie season, and he's now fully healthy going into Year 2. It seems fair to expect Nix to continue trending up in 2025.

Broncos legend Von Miller announces which team he will play for in 2025
Former Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller, quite possibly the best defensive player in the team's history, will be continuing his career in 2025. Rumors had been swirling that Miller was about to land a new deal, and it appears that he has found one. Miller announced on his Instagram account that he will sign a deal with the Washington Commanders. Broncos fans will always wish that there was a way for Miller to continue his playing career in Denver, but he has made it clear that his heart will always be there. In Washington, he joins an upstart team that reached the NFC Championship Game last year and has a chance to compete. As a 36-year-old pass-rusher just looking to be a situational specialist for a team, this is a great move for Miller. The Commanders will be the fourth team Miller has played for. The Broncos traded him to the Los Angeles Rams during the 2021 season in exchange for a second and third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. After half a season in L.A., which included a trip to the Super Bowl, Miller signed with the Buffalo Bills, where he has spent the last three seasons. In Washington, Miller will join a defense that has savvy veteran linebacker Bobby Wagner and a defensive front led by Daron Payne. The Commanders know they will need all hands on deck to overtake the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East, so Miller may get more of an opportunity there than he would have in many other places. Miller has 129.5 career sacks, which ranks No. 16 on the league's official list. His 110.5 sacks in Denver are the most in franchise history and whenever his career ends, you can expect Miller to sign a one-day contract with the Broncos to retire in the Mile High City. But that day is not now, as Miller will give it at least one more run, now playing in the nation's capital. Von Miller signing 1-year deal with the Washington Commanders, AP source says
Von Miller is signing with the Washington Commanders, with the NFL's active sacks leader joining the team roughly a week before training camp opens. Miller and the team have agreed on a one-year contract, according to a person familiar with the deal. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Wednesday night because the contract had not been announced. The 36-year-old edge rusher felt like he still had more to give after getting released by Buffalo in a salary cap-saving move in March. Injuries derailed his time with the Bills, limiting him to 11, 12 and 13 games each of the past three seasons. Miller had six sacks last year to reach 129 1/2 in his professional career, which began with nearly a decade with Denver when he was a three-time Pro Bowl selection. He helped the Broncos win the Super Bowl and was MVP of that game, then won it again in the 2021 season with the Los Angeles Rams. Pass rush was the one apparent need Washington had, coming off a 12-win season with Offensive Rookie of the Year quarterback Jayden Daniels, who led the team on an improbable trip to the NFC championship game. General manager Adam Peters acquired receiver Deebo Samuel and standout left tackle Laremy Tunsil in trades and used free agency to fill other voids on either side of the ball.
