Ferrari criticism ‘disrespectful' and harming team's chances
Vasseur's position as Ferrari team principal is under scrutiny, with reports in the Italian media suggesting prior to Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix that his job is in danger.
Hamilton, who has endured a disappointing start to his Ferrari career, defended Vasseur on Thursday, insisting the Frenchman remains the right man to carry Ferrari back to the top.
And, when pressed on his own future, an animated Vasseur, in his third season in charge of the Italian giants, said: 'I have to stay calm otherwise I will be reported to the stewards.
'It is not about me, because I can manage this, but it is about the people of the team and to throw their names like this is disrespectful for them and for their family.
'I don't understand the target? Perhaps it is to give s*** to the team and in this case I don't see the point. Maybe for them it is to exist? But it is clearly hurting the team.
'And when you are fighting for the championship, every detail makes the difference, and since we have arrived here we have just been talking about this (his future). And if that is their target they have reached their goal.
'I knew when I took the position as team principal I would be exposed, but for the people in the team who are working very hard to read that they will be replaced and they are useless, it is very harsh and it should be considered that these people have family, they have wives, they have kids and it is disrespectful. And I don't want to speak about it any more.'

Hamilton is 23 points behind team-mate Charles Leclerc and 115 adrift of championship leader Oscar Piastri heading into the 10th round of the season.
Ferrari are already 197 points behind McLaren in the constructors' standings.
Ferrari's weekend got off to a rocky start when Leclerc crashed out of first practice in Montreal. The Monegasque will be unable to take part in the day's concluding session following car damage he sustained in the accident.

Detry maintained is stance on Oakmont at the of round two and said: 'I just need to be so disciplined on every single shot, and I've felt like I have been, but maybe just that one bit where I was just trying to be a little bit more aggressive on the putt and then leave yourself another three or four-footer. 'They're tough to read out here. It's getting dark and there's footsteps everywhere. Discipline, number one key out here. 'The best part of my game has been driving. I really have been hitting loads of fairways which is, I think, a key out here. 'If you're out of the fairway, you're pretty much useless, so I think that's the key. 'If I can avoid making a double bogey on those next two days, I will have achieved what I wanted to achieve. 'So that's sort of the goal. And keep playing well. I'm driving it well, feel like I'm hitting my fade again nicely, so I'm sort of visualising fairways quite well and it's really helpful.' Victor Perez is enjoying himself with a hole-in-one to help tame the beast. The ace was a special moment for the Frenchman, but he admits it's tough to keep on top of the Oakmont concerns and he said: 'Back in the Bahamas where I live. I guess I'm on a hole-in-one run at the moment. It might dry up for the next so years now, who know, so, yeah, really happy. 'It's definitely not easy by any means. I think the rough is going to get patted down hopefully. 'I think some of the wide misses are probably going to be able to maybe get away with it, so might be hitting more drivers, but at the same time you can still get penalised. The bunkers around the fairways are just as penalising, sometimes you're just trying to advance.'

Nedim Bajrami's Rangers woe a world away from Albania hero status as Euros record breaker honoured with special mural
The winger's heroics at last summer's European Championships have seen him be immortalised back home Nedim Bajrami's debut season at Rangers may not have gone to plan - but the Albanian international has now been immortalised with a huge mural design back in his hometown. Gers snapped up the 26-year-old in a £3.5million deal from Italian side Sassuolo last summer after he had caught the eye at the European Championships in Germany. Bajrami wrote himself into the history books when he netted after just 26 seconds in an eventual 2-1 loss to Italy, becoming the fastest ever goal scorer in the EUROS since they were first held in 1958. Bajrami was born in the Swiss capital of Zurich - where he started his professional career with Grasshoppers - but both of parents are ethnic Albanians. The wide man represented Switzerland right up until U21 level before being granted Albanian citizenship in 2021. He has since won 33 caps for his country, scoring six times. And in his father's hometown of Tetovo, the struggling Rangers star has had a massive mural with his likenesses designed in his honour. The mural depicts Bajrami's celebration after opening the scoring against Italy, with the versatile winger holding his hands aloft. The player himself was present to celebrate the unveiling of the mural, where large crowds had gathered to see their hero. Tetovo's mayor Bilall Kasami took to Instagram to share images of the event, and captioned the post with the following message: "Nedim Bajrami, the son of Tetova and the pride of Albanians, today took his rightful place in the heart of his city—a mural with a heart, and a red and black heart!" While Bajrami will be enjoying his downtime in the off-season, his future at Ibrox under new boss Russell Martin is far from certain. The big money signing registered just five goals and four assists in 44 appearances in all competitions for Gers last season. He found himself in and out of the team in the final third of the campaign after Barry Ferguson had taken over on an interim basis following Philippe Clement's sacking at the end of February. Bajrami has already been linked with a return to Sassuolo this summer. 14 June 2025 1:35pm 1:35PM In the hands of the gods… The weather has decided too many previous Le Mans' to remember, with the threat and risk of rain never far away. Given the track is an enormous 13.6km long, sections of the track can be drenched while the rest of it remains dry, such is the uncertainty over when and where storms could hit. Catch the rain at the wrong time and it can wreck an entire race, but catch it at the right times and teams can gain significant ground if the gods play into their favour. So how is the forecast looking for the next 24 hours? There is a fair deal of cloud around as we head towards the start, but there hasn't been any showers so far today and the forecast suggests we should be in store for a completely dry race, with Sunday looking to be a lovely blend of sunshine and clearer skies. However, the French Meteo Office issued a severe weather warning alert this morning that there remains the risk of severe thunderstorms, and given we've had a major downpour every day this week without fail, I'll believe a fully dry race when I see it. 1:23PM Welcome to Le Mans! The 93rd edition of Le Mans 24 Hours promises to be one of the most competitive events in the race's 102-year history as Cadillac, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Toyota, Alpine, Aston Martin and Peugeot battle it out for victory. The gruelling endurance race is made up of three categories, with the top-class Hypercars made of the world's leading supercar manufacturers. With three drivers for each car, teams must mix speed, strategy and precision to stay the course of the 24 hours' racing and reach the finish line in one piece. Behind the Hypercars comes the LMP2 category - Le Mans Prototype 2 to give it its full name - which consists of privateer teams who run similar-looking cars to the Hypercar category, albeit within the hybrid energy system that makes the top class that little bit faster. Finally, the LMGT3 class is filled with GT cars, racing versions of the supercars you'll see on the road with a mix of Ferraris, Porsches, Aston Martins, McLarens, Corvettes, BMWs, Ford's, Mercedes' and even a pair of Lexus'.
