We have two, big Pet Community Calendar events to notify you about from one of our Forever Home partners. We will be back to featuring new pets up for adoption beginning early next month but for now, we wanted to let you know about some fundraising opportunities you can get involved with in the Burlington area.
The Queen City Cat Lounge will be hosting a clicker training event for your feline friends on Sunday, March 30th from 11 AM to 12 PM. Elizabeth Llewellyn, a feline welfare and behavior specialist with Happy at Home Cat Sitting will be your instructor for this 25 dollar training. This event will help you further your bonding and understanding of your cat, but it will also teach you how to use clicker training as an enrichment tool. Space is limited, so you will want to reserve your spot right away.
Meanwhile, Queen City Cats will be aiming to please your tastebuds and your shopping habits during their creatively named 'Spay-ghetti Dinner and Online Auction' event. Queen City Cats encourages you to eat, bid, and save cats on Sunday, April 13th at La Boca Pizzeria. Included in this event will be a three-course meal, a raffle ticket and goodie bag, one drink ticket, and lots of great company. The first seating is at 5 PM and the second at 7:30 PM. However, the online auction opens on April 6th and you can bid on locally donated items through April 13th.
For more details about the cat clicker training and much more information about the 'Spay-ghetti Dinner and Auction' including ticket prices for the event, please visit the Queen City Cat's website.

Watch BTS' Jin Showcase ‘Don't Say You Love Me' on ‘Fallon'

Jin stopped by The Tonight Show to perform his song 'Don't Say You Love Me' and to chat with host Jimmy Fallon about the future of BTS. Appearing alongside a live band, Jin took the stage to showcase emotional single 'Don't Say You Love Me,' which comes off his recent EP, Echo. The EP is a follow-up to the singer's solo debut, Happy, which arrived in November. It will mark the first time the seven band members will be together after completing their military service in South Korea. 'It was great to be alone, but when they come back, since they worked very hard, I'm going to honor them and give them great respect,' Jin said of BTS. 'They are my lifesavers, so I need to show my appreciation and take care of them.' He described the difference between Happy and Echo, explaining that on the new release he was 'able to capture my feelings better.' Of 'Don't Say You Love Me' Jin said, 'When you're in love sometimes you know that it's time to leave, but you can't bring yourself to do it. The song is about that emotion. So it's sad, but it's also bittersweet.' The musician also reflected on what it was like to have Tom Cruise on his YouTube show, Run Jin, earlier this week. 'He was responsible for my childhood cultural experiences, so it was a great honor to see him in person,' Jin told Fallon. He added, 'There is a small part of me that wants to do action movies, but I'm not as adventurous as Tom Cruise.' Jin will embark on his first solo world tour this summer. The #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR — complicatedly named after the singer's Run Jin variety show on YouTube — will visit nine cities this summer. Four of them — Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, and Newark, New Jersey — are in the U.S. Each city is currently booked for two shows: July 17 and 18 at Anaheim's Honda Center, July 22 and 23 at Dallas' American Airlines Center, July 26 and 27 at Tampa's Amalie Arena, and July 30 and 31 at Newark's Prudential Center. The trek, which begins in South Korea and Japan before moving to the U.S., is currently scheduled to conclude in London and then Amsterdam. Jin teased the upcoming shows, telling Fallon fans can 'expect my 'not so bad' vocals.' 'On top of that, you can look forward to seeing my handsome face up close,' he said. 'Just a joke!' He added that he had the tour in mind while making Echo so he ended up with 'a lot more energetic songs.' Happy Gilmore 2: Adam Sandler's Bad Boy Golfer Gets Back Into the Swing of Things in New Trailer — Watch

Prepare to get Happy again. Netflix has released the full trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, the sequel to Adam Sandler's hit 1996 golf comedy that hits Netflix on Friday, July 25. (Press PLAY above for a sneak peek.) More from TVLine Casting News: Boston Blue Adds Maggie Lawson, Lincoln Lawyer Enlists Cobie Smulders and More Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale Trailer Offers First Glimpse at Maggie Smith Tribute - Watch Nobody Wants This Lands Season 2 Premiere Date at Netflix - Watch the Cast's Video Announcement In a previous teaser trailer, which Sandler shared on Instagram in December, Happy mourned the loss of his pal 'Chubbs' Peterson — played in the first Happy Gilmore film by Carl Weathers, who died in February 2024 — before crossing paths with sworn nemesis Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald). Netflix first announced the movie pickup as part of its Upfront presentation to advertisers last year, affirming that 'Adam Sandler will reprise his iconic role in a brand-new movie, Happy Gilmore 2.' It was McDonald, via a radio interview — and then Drew Barrymore, somewhat randomly — who first got the Happy Gilmore 2 buzz going. During an episode of Barrymore's syndicated daytime talker, she received, in real time via text, confirmation from Sandler that a sequel script was in progress. Sandler co-wrote the original 1996 motion picture and also starred as the titular Happy Gilmore, a lovable loser who only ever wanted to be a professional hockey player. But when Happy discovers he actually has a talent for playing an entirely different sport, golf — and after his grandmother learns that she will lose her home unless she ponies up $270K for the IRS — he joins a golf tournament to try and win enough money to save the day. The Happy Gilmore cast also included Christopher McDonald as a rival golfer, Julie Bowen as Happy's love interest, the late Frances Bay as Grandma and the late Carl Weathers as retired pro 'Chubbs' Peterson, while the late game show icon Bob Barker had an instantly iconic cameo as himself. Among the Happy Gilmore 2 castings, you have Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce doing 'something' and Josh Safdie, who directed Sandler in Uncut Gems, in 'a juicy part.' HAPPY GILMORE 2 Trailer Goes Back to the Course to Make the Big Bucks Again

Happy Gilmore wanted to be a hockey player. He only got into golf because he had to. It offered him a chance to make 'the big bucks,' which he needed to save his grandma's house. He ended up doing a lot more than that, though. Ultimately he won the Tour Championship and sent Shooter McGavin running for his life. So what will make golf's longest hitting, most vulgar player return to the links in Happy Gilmore 2? The newest trailer for Happy Gilmore 2 reveals that some things never change. Happy needs golf back in his life because he once again needs money for a loved on. This latest look at Happy Gilmore 2 came during Netflix's 2025 TUDUM event and this trailer feels at best familiar and at worst repetitive. There are some real The Hangover Part II vibes here with all of the many callbacks, characters, and gags that are straight out of the first film. But there's also some intrigue. What exactly caused Happy to lose his swing, which forced him to walk away from the game that made him famous? What went wrong and for how long? And how exactly will he get back to his old form? If this movie leans into it's new elements more than its old ones it should still be a lot of fun. The cast certainly is a lot if fun. Adam Sandler will have plenty of old and new faces alongside him when he returns to the course. Happy Gilmore 2 features original stars Julie Bowen, Chris McDonald, Kevin Nealon, and Ben Stiller. The rest of the cast is overflowing with famous actors, comedians, celebs, golfers, professional wrestlers, sports commentators, and more. That includes: Benny Safdie, Benito Antonio Martnez Ocasio, John Daly, Haley Joel Osment, Jackie Sandler, Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Philip Schneider, Ethan Cutkosky, Conor Sherry, ,Lavell Crawford, Kym Whitley, John Farley, Eric Andr, Martin Herlihy, Margaret Qualley, Keegan Bradley, Bryson DeChambeau, Tony Finau, Rickie Fowler, Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Jack Nicklaus, Xander Schauffele, Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Bubba Watson, Will Zalatoris, Verne Lundquist, Austin Post, Marcello Hernandez, Travis Kelce, Eminem, Blake Clark, Oliver Hudson, Reggie Bush, Nikki Garcia, Becky Lynch, Tim Herlihy, Nelly Korda, Nancy Lopez, Boban Mfarjanovic, Paige Spiranac, Dan Patrick, Stephen A. Smith, Ken Jennings, Cam'ron, and Scott Mescudi. That cast should make every sports and movie fan happy. Andf hopefully it will when Happy Gilmore 2 tees off at Netflix on July 25, 2025.
