DJ AG drops Misfits boxing hint after Derek Chisora meeting
DJ AG - also known as Ashley Gordon - has made a name for himself in the world of TikTok, but it seems as if he is open to a move to boxing Social media and TikTok sensation DJ AG has hinted at a potential move to the Misfits boxing ring DJ AG - also known as Ashley Gordon - can often be heard before he is seen, playing music from his decks in the middle of the street in London. The rather bizarre set up has landed Gordon more than a million followers on TikTok and the honour of being named Time Out's Londoner of the Year. He tends to invite people off the street to perform with him and has even handed the microphone to stars like Idris Elba, Skepta, Jorja Smith, JME and Will Smith. Despite building up quite the following on social media, it seems as if he is eager for a change in profession. Gordon recently teamed up with heavyweight veteran Derek Chisora and was seen enjoying himself in the ring before stating he was ready for Misfits. Over the past few years, the famous boxing promotion has signed several big names in the world of social media. In a recent story uploaded to Chisora's Instagram, both he and AG were heading down a stairway to the ring. A starstruck Gordon said: "Oi, that ring looks sick! That ring looks cold!" AG then turned to Chisora and uttered: "I know you have got boxing rings, bro!" An energetic Chisora then initiated mind games with the social media star, downplaying a potential sparring session, stating: "I know you do not want the smoke, bro!" AG then dropped a major bombshell, saying: "I am ready for Misfits!" Before Gordon entered the ring, he envisioned himself being introduced to the ring, saying: "Introducing, DJ AG! And the crowd go rah!" Gordon can be seen spending the rest of the video doing some sharp movements as well as some brief shadow-boxing. Despite making a name for himself in the world of TikTok, things were not so easy when he first started. 'I had eggs thrown at me, water thrown at me, I was heckled, it was tough. But I think that's because people didn't understand what I was doing, they thought it was a joke,' he told The Mirror at TikTok Live Fest. This didn't stop Gordon, however. He added: 'I'm quite fearless and I think a lot of that comes from working in sales which is quite a tough environment and coming from Tottenham which is tough as well, so how bad could it be being outside.' It was his children who suggested he try out TikTok in 2022, but the now-39-year-old said it was an app for kids and 'they don't want to listen to what I've got to say'. He continued: 'But I tried it one day and realised there were people my age on TikTok and the rest is history'. He was particularly inspired by DJ SUAT, the roaming YouTube performer. Gordon admitted that if the gamble did not pay off, he would have gone back to his day job. Fortunately, he has not had to go back to a traditional job and has now performed with a range of stars on the street. Idris Elba, he said, was an 'amazing man'. He added: 'For someone that has achieved so much in his life and given so much to still be so humble, so down to earth, having that willingness to help. It's great to meet people that are like that.'

This is officially the best city for Gen Z in America
You're young (under 30), you're thinking about changing jobs and moving somewhere for a fresh start—but where is that? Where will you find people who like the same things you do (going out for the evening, catching culture, dining like kings and queens, quaffing that ridiculously intense cocktail), in a city that's fun, safe and rewards healthy things, too, like parks and nature? Helpfully, Time Out has come out with its inaugural list of the Best Cities for Gen Z, a global ranking created by Gen Z, for Gen Z. It results from Time Out's Best Cities survey, but we kicked out all the responses from anyone older than 30 (we're not resentful at all), to create a spiffy look at where you should live. And on this list of 20 international cities, two hail from our very own United States—but first, let's look at which locale claimed the top spot this year. That would be Bangkok: Of the respondents who already live in Thailand's capital, 84-percent of Gen Z say that they're happy there. It's also an affordable city and has an incredible street life—including bars and dance clubs and street food to fawn over—plus colorful and sacred temples and statues, floating markets in the canals, and a safe and welcoming vibe. Next up are two fellow international destinations, Melbourne, Australia and Cape Town, South Africa, which take the No. 2 and No. 3 spot, respectively. And in fourth place, we hit the first U.S. city on the list: New York City. A foodie haven for those with abundance and not, this sprawling city of 8.4 million is great for Gen Z with spectacular nightlife (84-percent applaud it) and walkability (82-percent). Respondents called it the most 'exciting' city on the list. And, of course, it's got fabulous hotels and culture, too. We'll race past the other non-American cities on the list (you can see those below) to get to No. 17, the other U.S city embraced by Generation Zed: Chicago. Also known to satisfy eating and drinking lust (hello, deep dish pizza), Chicago offers affordable nightclubs, scenic boat rides, world-class museums and gorgeous greenspaces. And its zoo is free! Takeaway from the list: no country has more than two cities on the lineup, with Thailand, Australia, Spain, China, the United Kingdom and the United States also getting double entries this year. But there's one omission we feel deeply: where's San Francisco?! The top 20 best cities for Gen Z, according to Time Out: 1. Bangkok, Thailand 2. Melbourne, Australia 3. Cape Town, South Africa 4. New York City, United States 5. Copenhagen, Denmark 6. Barcelona, Spain 7. Edinburgh, United Kingdom 8. Mexico City, Mexico 9. London, United Kingdom 10. Shanghai, China 11. Sydney, Australia 12. Beijing, China 13. Paris, France 14. Tokyo, Japan 15. Berlin, Germany 16. Seville, Spain 17. Chicago, United States 18. Chiang Mai, Thailand 19. Prague, Czech Republic 20. Lisbon, Portugal

Chicago is officially one of the world's best cities for Gen Z
To the surprise of no one, Chicago has been named one of the world's best cities for Generation Z. In Time Out's global ranking by Gen Z and for Gen Z, Chicago comes in at number 17. But if we narrow the list to 'USA's Best Cities for Gen Z,' Chicago lands and number two, beat out only by New York. You may be (rightfully) wondering, how do we know Chicago is so great for Zoomers? Based on the same data as our Best Cities survey—but filtered to responses from those under 30—this ranking highlights the cities where the next generation truly thrives, specifically on metrics like happiness, food scene and overall vibe. Locals are well aware that our incredible city has no shortage of amazing things to do —from pop-up markets and music festivals to world-class museums and attractions —no matter the season. And, of course, we can't forget about Chicago's widely celebrated food scene. While everyone knows about the city's most iconic eats, like deep dish pizza, Chicago-style hot dogs and Italian beef sandos, the depth of Chicago's culinary offerings cannot be understated. Want to try some of those delicious stand-out bites in person? We've got it all—and more—at Time Out Market Chicago, where you can experience everything from trending pop-ups to the city's most famed dishes. Topping the 2025 global ranking is Bangkok, trailed by Melbourne, Cape Town and Copenhagen. In the worldwide ranking, Chicago is joined by just one other North American city: New York City (No. 4).
