David Bowie Hits The Top 10 With An Album Fans Have Been Waiting Decades For

David Bowie may be gone, but when it comes to the music charts in the United Kingdom, he's never really left. The late rock legend continues to make regular appearances thanks to a steady stream of vinyl drops and bestselling and streaming-centric compilations that pull from his vast and varied catalog. This week, Bowie is back on multiple tallies in his home country with Ready Set Go - Live at Riverside Studios, a long-awaited release that's been a favorite among fans for decades, even before it was officially available to own.
The recently-issued live album is new to four U.K. rankings this frame. Ready Set Go breaks into the top 10 on three of those lists and nearly does the same on a fourth, proving once again – as if there was ever really any question – that there's still major demand for Bowie's work.
Ready Set Go earns its highest placements on the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts. On both tallies, it kicks off at No. 8. It also lands on the Official Vinyl Albums list, debuting at No. 10. The fact that a Bowie offering, released nearly a decade after his death, can launch inside the top 10, is quite the feat.
Finally, the live set makes an appearance on the Official Albums chart, the most important music ranking in the country for full-lengths. The list blends pure sales with streaming data to measure overall popularity. There, Ready Set Go starts at No. 44, just missing the top 40 cutoff.
Bowie has now earned at least two dozen top 10 placements on the Official Albums Sales chart alone, and his total placements on the Official Vinyl Albums ranking recently crossed 50. Few artists have built a posthumous discography as formidable as Bowie's, and his list of wins keeps growing.
Ready Set Go was recorded on September 8, 2003, when Bowie performed a set at Riverside Studios in London. The concert was beamed via satellite to cinemas around the world, which was a novelty at the time and a major event for fans. Reportedly, 50,000 people tuned in to witness the event live.
Now, more than 20 years later, that performance is finally available as an album, on both vinyl and CD. It was released for Record Store Day 2025, and it seems it's one of the big winners of this year's event.

Photographer Richard Imrie asks $4.9M for East Quogue home
A rock 'n' roll photographer and his wife, who co-founded a 'slow fashion' lifestyle brand with their daughters, have listed their East Quogue farmhouse and adjacent reserve for $4.9 million. Richard Imrie has photographed the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, James Taylor, David Bowie and Rod Stewart — his work has graced many album covers — while his wife Pippa co-founded Imrie, which is now based in Hawaii. Pre-COVID, the brand also had a presence in the Hamptons and St. Barts. Their twin-parcel compound is in East Quogue, a hamlet of Southampton, at 140 and 144 Damascus Road. The area is now known as 'the up-and-coming Brooklyn of the Hamptons,' said listing broker Palmer Gaget, of Douglas Elliman. The reserve was 'like a jungle when we bought it. It took a while to tame it, plant it and till it,' Imrie said. 'It was a nice little studio, for overflow from the house, and a nice place to have parties. Now we sort old photographs there,' Imrie added. 'But it was a great place to have dinner parties.' 12 Wood beams even grace the bedrooms. Rise Media Advertisement 12 A home office space. Both parcels were purchased, separately, for around $900,000 starting around 25 years ago, Richard said, adding that it was the 'going rate at the time.' They tore down a ranch house, kept the footprint and built a two-story farmhouse with oak trucked in from one of Pennsylvania's Amish communities — where Richard's son 'had some contacts.' The farmhouse comes with four bedrooms and three and a half baths. Advertisement Design details inside the farmhouse include exposed beams, wide-plank wood floors, high ceilings and a classic, white-washed aesthetic. There's a guest bedroom suite on the main floor, with additional bedrooms above. The kitchen and living room feature vaulted ceilings. There's also a cozy fireplace — and plenty of room for family gatherings — including space for 11 grandchildren. 'It can get chaotic. I like to keep a dog-free and child-free living room. But it doesn't always happen,' Richard said.

Metallica's Career-Defining Single Leaps Into A New Peak Position
Metallica's 'Enter Sandman' hits a new peak at No. 3 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart, more ... More than 30 years after its release from the band's 1991 self-titled album. (Photo by Javier Bragado/Redferns) For more than 30 years, Metallica's 'Enter Sandman' has remained a staple in the hard rock world. The group is one of the most popular and successful acts in the genre, and the single — taken from its self-titled 1991 album — is a standout in one of the most valuable catalogs in rock history. As the tune nears its thirty-fifth birthday, it not only continues to appear on multiple Billboard charts, but it also climbs to a new peak on one of them. This week, 'Enter Sandman' bolts from No. 12 to No. 3 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart, leaping nearly 10 spaces. That No. 3 spot now marks the all-time high for 'Enter Sandman' on Billboard's ranking of the most-streamed hard rock cuts in the U.S. After an incredible 260 weeks — exactly five years — on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs list, 'Enter Sandman' hits its highest peak yet. It stands as Metallica's longest-running success on the tally, as the track has spent more time on the streaming-only tally than all other charting wins from the band combined. Just one other single by Metallica has risen to an even loftier position on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart. 'Master of Puppets' reached the summit when it debuted at No. 1 in July 2022. It spent a total of six weeks cumulatively running the show. Metallica has sent five tunes to the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart – a surprisingly small sum for a band so popular – and three of them have cracked the top 10. In addition to 'Master of Puppets' and 'Enter Sandman,' 'Lux Æterna' debuted and peaked at No. 7 in December 2022. Only two tracks are keeping Metallica from securing another No. 1 on the tally — and both are by the same act. Sleep Token appears at Nos. 1 and 2 this week with 'Caramel' and 'Emergence,' respectively. Both compositions have already led the Hard Rock Streaming Songs ranking in the past. As 'Enter Sandman' climbs on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs tally, it dips on two other Billboard charts this frame. The track slides from No. 1 to No. 4 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales list and falls from No. 3 to No. 14 on the slightly broader Rock Digital Song Sales chart.
