Abhishek Bachchan
is getting a lot of love for his recent release 'Kaalidhar Laapata' which released on OTT. Priya Yadav who played Gudiya, his sister in the film also got a lot of appreciation for her heartwarming character.
In a recent interview, she opened up about her experience of working with him. For those not in the know, Priya was also seen in 'The Railway Men'.
Talking about working with Abhishek, Priya said during a chat with News 18 Showsha, 'Abhishek sir was incredibly warm and respectful right from the beginning. He made sure I felt comfortable on set and treated every scene, no matter how small, with sincerity."
Recalling a moment which made a huge impact on her, during the making, Priya said, "There was a close-up scene of mine, and even though he wasn't in the frame, he stayed back just to give me cues.
That rarely happens. He even called me personally to ask if I wanted another take, just to make sure I was happy."
The actress also had a similar experience with
Kay Kay Menon
. She said, 'KK Menon sir waited almost half an hour just to give one look in my close-up shot, even though he wasn't going to be seen. I feel really lucky to have worked with such grounded, generous actors — it teaches you so much, not just about acting, but about being a better co-actor."
She also opened up on her character and said, 'So many people wrote to me saying Gudiya reminded them of a silent sister, a daughter who never complains, someone holding the family together. I think people aren't used to seeing such simplicity anymore — and that's exactly what made Gudiya feel so real.'

Aamir met Riteish, asked if I was working: Genelia on how she was cast in Sitaare

Actor Genelia Deshmukh opened up about how she was signed for 'Sitaare Zameen Par'. During a recent interview, she recalled that actor Aamir Khan's chance meeting with her actor-husband Riteish Deshmukh landed her the role. She also expressed surprise at how the audiences did not forget her despite her being away from the big screen for a long an interview with Hindustan Times, Genelia Deshmukh shared, 'Aamir met Riteish somewhere and asked, 'Is Genelia working nowadays?' Riteish said yes, and that's when Aamir suggested I meet RS Prasanna, the director. I auditioned for the role and got it. I know most actors might think, 'Why audition after 20 years?' But I believe it's a great way to land a film, and I'm genuinely excited that I did it.'advertisementShe then spoke about the audience's reaction to her work and said, "I didn't do much work for the last 10 years, maybe for friends, a song here and there. I did two-three films for OTT. I thought people would forget me and I didn't think I mattered. But it's refreshing to hear people say all this, that they want to see more." "It's an Aamir Khan film, so of course it would have had a lot more eyeballs. I didn't think that somewhere in that takeaway, I also exist. It's been the best compliment, that people want to see more of me. As an actor and human being, if someone wants to see you a lot more, it's a very special place that not everyone gets," the actor 'Sitaare Zameen Par' actor concluded by talking about how word of mouth helped the film's box office stated, "The way the collections just went from the release day till Sunday, that's got a lot to do with word-of-mouth. I think if you make a good film, it eventually finds its audience. I am happy that the film did what it did, more so for the sitaares. I would have really wanted it to be a blockbuster for them, and I am glad it picked up. It's the first time I have been part of a film that talks about inclusion."Genelia Deshmukh will next be seen in the film 'Gunmaaster G9' alongside Emraan Hashmi.
