Ronda Rousey's UFC return LEAKED with MMA legend already preparing for comeback against huge-name opponent

RONDA ROUSEY is reportedly planning a shock return to the octagon - nearly TEN YEARS after her last fight.
The former dominant women's bantamweight champion walked away from the sport following her 48-second defeat to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 in December 2016.

Rousey has well and truly distanced herself from the world of mixed martial arts since her unceremonious retirement.
The 38-year-old mother-of-two recently set tongues wagging by sharing training footage on her social media channels.
Rousey's accompanying caption for the video, which showed her honing her once Olympic-level judo, read: "Martial art nerd s**t.
And former three-time UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen has claimed the Hall of Famer is preparing to return against the winner of the eagerly-anticipated women's 135lbs title fight between Nunes and current champion Kayla Harrison.
He said on his YouTube channel: "Ronda Rousey, going to come back, and fight the winner of [Amanda Nunes vs. Kayla Harrison], as long as the winner is Kayla.
'Now this is a story, and let me tell you what part of this I can confirm. I can confirm the story came from Ronda.
"In this space, it's always 'Ronda's camp, one of Ronda's people.'
"I understand those things. But it was.

"The absolute inner circle of Ronda has let it be known that she will take on the winner of Amanda and Kayla, as long as it's Kayla.
'So in other words: 'I'll return to fight for the title, if Kayla needs an opponent'…[but] that's not how comebacks go.'
Miesha Tate says she'd beat Ronda Rousey if they fought again
Sonnen, however, has his doubts about Rousey returning, adding: "I don't believe it's going to happen.
'It is the rumour, though…if the word gets to Kayla that Ronda said that, that could have some hard feelings.
"Those two know each other, those two worked out together, supposed to have some kind of a bond.
"And when Kayla finds out, she's going to be half flattered and half p****d off.
"Ronda versus Kayla, not only will not happen, Ronda Rousey competing at anything at 135 pounds, also not gonna happen.'
Rousey, who entered the WWE less than two years after losing to Nunes, was the first female fighter signed to the UFC and a pioneer for women's MMA.

She was at one point a bigger star than Conor McGregor and the face of the promotion.
She defended the 135lbs strap six times before suffering a stunning second-round KO loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November 2015.
Nunes would then usher her out the exit door in December 2016. Rousey has seldom spoken about her retirement from the sport.
But she opened up on her decision to call it quits ahead of the release of her memoir, revealing that repeated concussions played a big role in her decision.
She said: "I'd like people to understand my reasons and motivations behind things.
"I was forced to leave fighting when I was faster, stronger, more skilled and had a better understanding of the art than ever before.
"It was a really hard decision to understand, one that my body made for me."

‘Clubs won't expect it' – Luke Littler gives his prediction for Man Utd's season

United are keen for the recently-crowned World Matchplay champion to visit Old Trafford to show off his latest trophy success. RED DEVILS REVIVAL 'Clubs won't expect it' – Luke Littler gives his prediction for Man Utd's season LUKE LITTLER is 'excited' about Manchester United's prospects this year – and reckons 'most clubs' will be surprised by their revival under boss Ruben Amorim. United embarrassingly finished 15th in last season's Premier League, losing 18 league matches as morale hit rock bottom. It was their worst campaign since they were relegated from the top flight in 1974 and Portuguese chief Amorim, 40, is under pressure to deliver this term. It has not been easy being a fan of the club and Littler, one of their most high-profile supporters, had to put up with a lot of abuse, especially on social media, from those from rival teams. Yet performances in the recent Summer Series in the US have given him cause for great optimism. Striker Sesko, 22, has arrived from RB Leipzig and is an exciting young talent who could take the Prem by storm and perhaps solve their scoring issues. Littler, 18, said: 'I'm very excited. I think we are underdogs. 'Obviously from last season, I don't think anything worse can happen – unless we finish 16th. Advertisement 'But yeah, I think it is going to be a very interesting season. Most clubs won't expect it but I'm expecting top five.' 'I embarrassed Conor McGregor - but things could be about to change for him'

Khabib Nurmagomedov believes Conor McGregor can make a major life transformation, almost seven years after "humbling" his rival at UFC 229. McGregor, 37, once ruled mixed martial arts as a two-weight UFC champion. Four years have passed since his last octagon appearance, enduring a fractured leg during his loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021. During his time away from mixed martial arts, McGregor's athletic achievements have been overtaken by courtroom disputes. The Dublin fighter recently failed in his appeal against a civil court decision that he sexually assaulted a woman in 2018. Former UFC lightweight champion Nurmagomedov previously engaged in a high-profile rivalry with McGregor, yet remains optimistic that his long-standing rival can stage a comeback. "I don't want to mention his name," Nurmagomedov told the Irish Independent. "This is punishment, this is punishment. And he keeps doing this, keeps doing this, keeps doing this. Everything that happened. "But the most beautiful part of this [is] Allah always gives for us – it doesn't matter, anybody, everybody – a chance to come back. Always, in this world, a chance to come back. "This is the most beautiful thing. It doesn't matter how you're bad, Allah is going to give you a chance to always come back. I think he has a chance, and he has to change the way how he's living. Khabib Nurmagomedov has changed his stance on Conor McGregor since their time as opponents in 2018 (Image: Ed Mulholland/Zuffa LLC/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images) "Why am I talking about this? If he's going to change, he can change with him so many lives, too. And that's why I wish him to change himself." Nurmagomedov's encouraging remarks about McGregor's potential for transformation starkly contrast the fighter's position during their bitter 2018 rivalry. In the lead-up to their championship clash, McGregor threw a dolly at a coach transporting Nurmagomedov and fellow UFC competitors. The Dubliner was subsequently required to complete five days of community service and attend anger management sessions. When asked about McGregor before their fight, Nurmagomedov stated: "I'm going to change his face. I'm going to smash him. I want to make him humble. I want to show people his weakness. I want to make him give up. I want to embarrass him." Nurmagomedov delivered on his promise by submitting McGregor and successfully defending his lightweight championship. Nevertheless, the animosity between both camps persisted following the bout, culminating in a post-fight brawl. Khabib Nurmagomedov marked Conor McGregor's return to the UFC after his boxing match against Floyd Mayweather (Image: Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images) Defeating McGregor failed to alter Nurmagomedov's sentiments towards his rival at that time. "I told you I was going to smash your boy. I humbled him," he declared following his victory. Nurmagomedov's recent remarks signal a dramatic shift in perspective from the UFC legend, who stepped away from competition as the unbeaten lightweight titleholder with a flawless 29-0 record in 2020. It seems the 36-year-old's attitude towards McGregor has mellowed considerably during his absence from the octagon. McGregor has voiced ambitions of pursuing a political path and revealed his aspiration to become Irish President. However, he remains hopeful of orchestrating a UFC return. McGregor has recently rejoined the UFC's drug-testing pool and expressed his wish to compete at a potential event hosted at the White House. The 37-year-old was slated to fight Michael Chandler last year, but the bout was called off due to injury.

Thrilling gold for Ireland's Jack Rafferty and Jonah Kirby at the World Under-19 Rowing Championships

The St Michael's/Kenmare combination dominated each race in the run-up to the double sculls final, and they reproduced it in the big one as they relegated Greece and Germany silver and bronze and won by 7.26 seconds. It was Ireland's first gold medal at World Under-19 level, and the first medal for a men's crew. In May, Rafferty and Kirby had taken bronze at the European Championships, coming back from a slow start to grab a medal. But there was no faltering come the test against the best in the world. In the heat and the semi-final they led right through. In the final, they pushed into a small lead at 500 metres, and then built from there, leaving the field behind. 'You try to win. That gives you confidence in the heats and semi-finals, to know you can do it. Then in the final, you're all out trying to win [gold]," Kirby told the Irish Independent. 'Anything can happen in the doubles. I only started to think about [winning] in the last 200 metres.' For both of them, it is their last year at this level, though Kirby is still 17 and Rafferty turned 18 on Thursday. The two young men looked emotional on the podium as Amhrán na bhFiann rang out. 'I've been waiting for this for years; it's an unreal feeling,' Rafferty told World Rowing. 'It's amazing to be able to represent the green jersey – to win a gold medal is a different kind of feeling. I can't process it yet.' We need your consent to load this Social Media content. We did have the odd day off.' They get to prepare amongst world and Olympic champions at the National Rowing Centre in Farran Wood. 'Seeing all the [Ireland] seniors training is kind of inspirational,' Kirby said. 'You get an idea of what it is like to be at the very top. It's great. 'All the seniors are really lovely people. They make you feel like you want to be there.' Clara O'Brien, Ireland's pathway coordinator, has overseen an expansion of underage crews competing at international events. The Limerick woman sees it as 'a bridge' to senior level. She was coach leader in Trakai and said she was very happy with the performance of the whole team. The women's double of Sophia Young [Methodist College, Belfast] and Aoife Hendy [Skibbereen] finished fifth in their A Final, while the men's quadruple won their B Final to take seventh overall. The women's and men's fours took 8th and 10th.
