Police seeking suspect after shots fired at Brampton home

Peel police are searching for a suspect who they say allegedly fired a gun at a Brampton home during an attempted break-in and fled the scene earlier this month.
In a news release, authorities say it happened shortly before midnight on July 15, in the area of Long Meadow Road and Prince Edward Boulevard.
It's alleged that a suspect tried to break into a residence and, at some point during the incident, discharged a firearm toward the home before fleeing northbound in a vehicle.
No injuries have been reported but police identified the vehicle as a 2022 Honda Passport Trailsport with Ontario licence plate CKHB388.
'The suspect(s) are considered armed and dangerous,' police said. They are also urging the public not to approach if seen.
Anyone with dash cam or surveillance footage from the area between 11:30 p.m. on July 15 and 1:30 a.m. on July 16 is asked to come forward. Videos can also be submitted through Peel police's evidence submission page.

Police say that an interaction occurred, during which time the female was assaulted and the male exposed himself. A suspect, identified as 28-year-old Nathan Jolin, has since been charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of committing an indecent act. Police say that investigators believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.

The first case took place July 28 on Cathcart Street when a 911 call reported a theft in progress. 'Although the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, an investigation revealed the accused had broken into a victim's residence and put several of their belongings into bags to steal them before they were confronted by the victim,' Sault police said in a news release Tuesday. 'Officers also located property reported stolen from the 100 block of Dennis Street two days prior. The accused and the victims are not known to one another. All found property was returned to the victims.' Theft in progress Then at 4:20 p.m. on Monday, a 911 call reported a theft in progress at a residence on Huron Street. 'Officers were dispatched to the scene and located the accused hiding inside the residence,' police said. 'An investigation revealed the accused had broken into the residence by damaging property and put several of the victim's belongings into bags and into their pockets to steal them.' Charges include three counts of violating probation, two counts each of theft and break and enter, and one count each of mischief under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Fentanyl trafficking investigation leads to seizure of two loaded guns

A quantity of illicit drugs and two firearms seized as part of a Toronto Police Service investigation into drug trafficking is shown. (Toronto Police Service) Police have arrested a 38-year-old man who they say was trafficking fentanyl and other illegal drugs throughout the City of Toronto. Officers with the Toronto Police Drug Squad, with the assistance of the Toronto Police Emergency Task Force, executed a search warrant at a residence in the Jane Street and Finch Avenue area on Aug. 14. Police say that the suspect was taken into custody at the time. Police also seized a number of items from the property, including a loaded handgun, ammunition, a quantity of cocaine and a large amount of currency. Police say that a second search of a motor vehicle then led to the seizure of another loaded gun, along with a quantity of fentanyl, crack cocaine and cocaine. John Mensah, 38, of Toronto, has been charged with 20 offences, including possession of a loaded restricted firearm. Police continue to investigate and are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
