Caitlin Clark leads WNBA All-Star Game fan voting, four Indiana Fever players in top 10

Caitlin Clark is leading WNBA All-Star fan votes in the league's first returns, according to a Friday release.
Clark garnered 515,993 votes over the first week of fan voting, and she's the only player to eclipse 500,000 so far. Minnesota's Napheesa Collier is second is around 485,000 votes and Indiana's Aliyah Boston is third with around 447,000 votes.

This is the second straight season Clark has led fan voting. She was second in the early returns in fan voting in 2024, but jumped up to first with around 700,000 total votes by the end of the 2024 voting period. Factoring in media and player votes, Clark was an All-Star starter in her rookie season.
The All-Star format in 2024 was Team USA vs. Team WNBA as players prepared for the Paris Olympics, but the 2025 edition, which will be in Indianapolis on July 19, is returning to captains picking their teams. Regardless of conference, the two All-Star starters that have the most fan votes will become captains, then do a televised draft to pick from the rest of the All-Star starters and reserves.
If fan voting continues as it is, Clark could possibly be picking her own team for the All-Star Game in her home city.
Four Fever players are in the top-10 of fan voting, including Clark at first, Boston at third, Kelsey Mitchell at seventh (277,664) and Lexie Hull at ninth (217,438).
Fan voting runs through June 28. A culmination of fan voting (50%), player votes (25%), and media votes (25%) will determine the All-Star starters, then the coaches across the league will vote for the All-Star reserves. After voting has finished, the results of the roster draft will be televised during WNBA Countdown on ESPN on July 8.
As of June 19
The WNBA All-Star Game is July 19. The 3-point contest and skills challenge is July 18.
The game is in Indianapolis at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Golden State Valkyries Make Unexpected Roster Move on Monday

Golden State Valkyries Make Unexpected Roster Move on Monday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. In a roster shake‑up that surprised many WNBA fans, the Golden State Valkyries announced on Monday that veteran guard Julie Vanloo has been waived. Advertisement The news comes just one day after Vanloo secured a gold medal with Belgium at EuroBasket Women 2025. Vanloo arrived in San Francisco last fall as part of the expansion draft and quickly became known for her playmaking and leadership. In nine appearances (including two starts), she averaged 4.6 points, 4.1 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 20 minutes per game. Unfortunately, the Valkyries chose to bring back forwards Janelle Salaun and Cecilia Zandalasini, who were also away participating in the FIBA EuroBasket tournament. Now, the 32-year-old point guard is back on the market. Prior to joining the Valkyries via the WNBA's expansion draft in December 2024, Vanloo had spent a season with the Washington Mystics and more than a decade playing overseas. Advertisement Last season with the Mystics, she averaged 7.4 points, 4.3 assists and 1.6 rebounds across 40 games (34 starts). The Golden State Valkyries waived guard Julie Vanloo (35).Kyle Terada-Imagn Images On Sunday, Vanloo helped Belgium clinch its second consecutive EuroBasket Women title with a dramatic 67-65 win over Spain. There, she was named to the tournament's all‑second team for her steady guard work behind stars Julie Allemand and TISSOT MVP Emma Meesseman. In addition to Vanloo's departure, the Valkyries also cut ties with Chloe Bibby, Bree Hall and Aerial Powers. As the Valkyries prepare to take on the top-ranked Minnesota Lynx on Saturday, all eyes will be on how the revamped roster gels moving forward. Angel Reese's First Post After WNBA All-Star News on Monday

Angel Reese's First Post After WNBA All-Star News on Monday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. After a slow start to the WNBA season, Angel Reese has turned things around in recent games and has gotten back to the level that made her an All-Star in her first season as a pro. Advertisement Reese averaged just 10.4 points on 35.4% shooting, 11.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists in the first 10 games of the 2025 campaign. Over the Chicago Sky's last six games, however, she has put up 14.2 points, 13.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists. In the Sky's most recent showdown against the Los Angeles Sparks, Reese recorded 24 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists. Not only did she crack the top 10 of Chicago's all-time rebounding list, but she also set a new record for the most consecutive 15-rebound games. Unfortunately, the 23-year-old star's recent performances were not enough to make her an All-Star starter for the 2025 iteration of the event. Despite missing out on the starting nod for the All-Star Game, however, it doesn't look like Angel Reese was bothered by it. Advertisement That much is clear in her first post just a few minutes after the All-Star starters were revealed. On Instagram, the star forward shared three photos of herself during her pregame arrival against the Golden State Valkyries — during which she was wearing a black leather trench coat with an open design, which she paired with matching black high-heeled boots and a white dress. "THE MATRIX," Reese wrote in the caption of her post on Instagram. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (5) seems unbothered when she missed out as a starter in the upcoming WNBA All-Star Gonzales-Imagn Images Fans quickly commented on Angel Reese's post, with many simply sharing how much they love her look. "Absolutely," sports reporter Taylor Rooks wrote. "It girl!!" a fan said. Another added, "this fit is next level." Advertisement Reese still has a good chance to make the All-Star Game as a reserve. It's worth noting that WNBA coaches will be selecting the reserves, with the announcement set for Sunday. Is Caitlin Clark playing tomorrow for Fever vs Minnesota Lynx?

Before their Tuesday night matchup against the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA Commissioner's Cup final from Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn., the Indiana Fever updated the injury status of star Caitlin Clark in their league-mandated injury report Monday afternoon. Clark, who has missed the previous two games with a left groin injury, struggled mightily on the offensive end of her game during Indiana's three-game West Coast trip. While it is unknown whether the injury was a partial cause of the difficulties, Clark scored just 30 points on 13-for-47 shooting from the field and 1-for-17 from 3-point range during the road trip. Per the Fever's injury report, Clark is listed as questionable for the game against the league-leading Lynx with the previously mentioned left groin injury. In addition to Clark, forward Damiris Dantas is listed as out and will not be present at the game due to her involvement with the Brazilian National Team in the 2025 FIBA Women's AmeriCup in Chile. Advertisement If Clark can return to the floor for the Fever, her presence will be a significant boost to the team's offensive firepower as Indiana hopes to keep pace with Minnesota's 85.3 points per game average. Tomorrow's game will start at 7 p.m. CT and be broadcast exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
