WWE 'Raw': Seth Rollins earns 'Money in the Bank' spot, CM Punk attacks

UPI27-05-2025

May 27 (UPI) -- Seth Rollins earned a spot in the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder match before getting sneak attacked by his rival CM Punk in the main event of WWE's Raw.
Rollins faced off against Sami Zayn and Finn Balor in a Triple Threat match Monday to determine who would get to compete in the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder match June 7 in Los Angeles.
The winner of the Money in the Bank Ladder match earns a briefcase that can be cashed in at any time to instantly be granted a world championship match.
Rollins recently defeated Zayn and Punk in a tag team match at Saturday Night's Main Event over Memorial Day weekend after a returning Bronson Reed joined his villainous cabal that also includes Bron Breakker and The Wiseman Paul Heyman.
The bout featured Zayn performing a Springboard Moonsault onto Rollins and Balor to pay homage to the late Sabu. Zayn was also able to land the Helluva Kick on Rollins before he was ambushed by Breakker and Reed.
As Breakker and Reed attacked Zayn, World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso arrived onto the scene to help even the odds. Breakker later took out Uso with a devastating Spear outside the ring.
Balor then received help from his fellow Judgement Day member Dirty Dominik Mysterio, who tossed a steel chair into the ring. Balor was unable to reach the chair in time, however, allowing Rollins to perform The Stomp using the weapon. Rollins then won the match and earned his spot for Money in the Bank.
Rollins celebrated in the ring before Punk's music started playing. Breakker and Reed quickly headed up the entrance ramp, but Punk arrived from the opposite side of the arena and snuck into the ring.
Punk was able to knock Rollins out with a surprise GTS before he made a quick exit through the audience as Raw ended on Netflix.

Watch: Benson Boone performs, discusses 'American Heart' on 'Tonight'

June 5 (UPI) -- Benson Boone performed "Momma Song" and discussed his upcoming album American Heart on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. The singer, 22, took to the stage in a brown leather jacket and sang about a profound love for his mother, along with a knowledge that moments with her would one day become memories he'd cherish. The track will appear on American Heart, due June 20. He told Fallon that his album title was inspired by his song "Young American Heart." "And to me that's like the inspiration track of the whole album, and it's about me and my best friend," he told Fallon. "...When we were younger, we got in a car accident, and it wasn't, like, a typical car accident. We were driving in a field. We were driving in his backyard and we flipped the car." He said he was either 15 or 16 when the wreck occurred, and it changed his perspective. "It was like the first time in my life that I was like, 'Oh my gosh, like, this dude, my best friend, he means everything to me. I don't want to die right now,'" Boone said. Boone also discussed his upcoming arena tour, which kicks off Aug. 22 in Minnesota and winds down Oct. 8 in Utah. "This is by far the biggest tour I've ever done, and it's a big moment for me, for people to just know who I am, you go to the show and this is, by far, the best performance I will ever, up to this point in my life, put on," he said. "And it's a full-on show. I might even change my outfit during the show."

Meghan Markle snubbed by A-list singer who turned down invite to appear on Netflix show: report

Dolly Parton reportedly snubbed Meghan Markle after she turned down an invite to appear on the actress's Netflix series 'With Love, Meghan.' 'Her team was livid,' celebrity commentator Kinsey Schofield claimed on a recent podcast appearance of 'The Nerve with Maureen Callahan.' 'Because no, they don't want to risk Dolly's reputation Q score [and] her popularity by associating with Meghan Markle.' 'They knew that this ask was just to give Meghan Markle credibility in this lifestyle space, a space that Dolly does have a lot of credibility in,' she continued. Schofield, 40, elaborated on Parton's success in the country music industry and as a lifestyle guru with her variety of baking batter mixes and beauty products. 'Dolly is not only incredibly popular and loved by the general public, but she also is somebody who can float around within these different places,' she added. 'Her team really feels like Meghan was trying to take advantage of her popularity,' Schofield alleged. Callahan described Parton as 'authentic' and claimed it would've been 'spontaneous combustion of good versus evil' if she agreed to appear alongside 'a fake royal' in her 'fake kitchen.' Reps for Parton, 79, and Markle, 43, weren't immediately available to Page Six for comment. The Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle series was released on Netflix in March. It was immediately renewed for Season 2 despite criticism from trolls claiming that Markle was 'thirsty' for fame. Several celebrities joined the 'Suits' alum in her show, including Mindy Kaling and Abigail Spencer. Spencer has previously defended her pal against critics, telling Page Six that Markle is 'the most glorious human being on the planet.' Markle, meanwhile, embarked on several business ventures this past year, including the launch of her 'As Ever' lifestyle brand and 'Confessions of a Female Founder' podcast in April. During a recent podcast episode, she admitted she felt 'incredibly lonely' in her business endeavors.

Dominik Mysterio Continues To Bury CM Punk In Hilarious Fashion

Dominik Mysterio really doesn't like CM Punk and isn't afraid to let the world know why he feels that way. WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio was a recent guest on Casual Conversations with The Classic. When asked about how he feels about CM Punk nowadays, Mysterio didn't hold back on burying Punk in hilarious fashion. Advertisement 'I think we just both mutually hate each other equally,' Dominik Mysterio began. 'I f*cking hate CM Punk, I don't know what it is about that guy, I don't know if it's because he looks like Eddie Munster and I want to kick him in the f*cking face. Or the fact that everyone is like, 'He finally did it, he finally got his WrestleMania main event.' Good for you, old man. 60 years old, it took you what, 45 years to accomplish your one goal? It's about time. 'It's what they say about babies. When they have tantrums, you give them what they want so they shut the f*ck up. I'm pretty sure that's what happened. That's why he needed a favor from Paul Heyman. There is a reason he was never in the main event. You call yourself the Best in the World. I don't need to go around calling myself the Best in the World. People know I'm better than the best. 'I don't need to call myself Best in the World at 70 years old. People do it for me. You have [John] Cena talking about me, JBL, AJ Styles, legends talking about me. I don't need to do it for myself or say these things about me because people say it for me. My work speaks for itself. Here you go with CM Punk. I could go on this rant forever, but I need to stop myself.'
