Gen V season 2 to stream on Prime Video from September 17

New Delhi, Jul 26 (PTI) The second season of the much-awaited drama series 'Gen V" is set to premiere on Prime Video on September 17, the makers announced on Saturday.
The spin-off series to 'The Boys" will have its first three episodes out on September 17, followed by weekly releases leading up to the season finale on October 22. The makers also released the trailer.
In the new season, school is back in session at Godolkin University. As America reckons with the growing power of Homelander, a mysterious new Dean ushers in a regime focused on making young Supes more powerful than ever, according to a press release.
It stars Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, London Thor as Jordan Li, Derek Luh as Jordan Li, Asa Germann as Sam Riordan, Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity and Hamish Linklater as Dean Cipher.
Michele Fazekas serves as showrunner and executive producer.
The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in collaboration with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.

A man who killed four people, then committed suicide in a New York skyscraper, may have been targeting the NFL offices there because he blamed the American football league for brain injuries he said he suffered, Mayor Eric Adams said on Tuesday. The revelation that the killer, identified as 27-year-old Shane Tamura, carried a note referring to the degenerative brain disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), offered the first possible motive for the shootings that brought central Manhattan to a standstill. The attacker shot a police officer outside the tower on Park Avenue, then opened fire in the lobby, before trying to head up to the National Football League's offices, armed with a semi-automatic rifle. 'The note said that he felt he had CTE, a known brain injury for those who participated in contact sports. He appeared to have blamed the NFL for his injury," Adams told CBS News. Tamura had never actually played for the professional league but was reportedly a high school football standout in California. The note asked that his brain be examined for CTE damage, The New York Times reported. The bloodshed sparked a massive police response in the heart of the city which is not far from where a disgruntled gunman had shot and killed the CEO of UnitedHealthcare in broad daylight last December. New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said Tamura had a history of mental health issues. The whole world has now become a bunch of performers," he said. Kajol's sister Tanishaa Mukerji reacted to the viral reel, and slammed the claims. She defended the film, and wrote, 'Completely disagree. Times are changing and these people are stuck in the past. Love and appreciate the new. And honestly What rubbish is this man saying. Does he know anything for a fact. He is using the phenomenon of Saiyara to get views by talking negatively." She further added, 'If people are reacting to a film what is so wrong about that. Just because he cannot relate doesn't mean the younger generation doesn't either. Every generation is different. This is india. We react. Go watch the film see how the audiences are moved. Then talk. This is just Bollywood bashing ! Brands just have to find new ways to connect to their audiences!" Saiyaara has officially crossed Rs 250 crore net in India and over Rs 300 crore worldwide—making it one of the biggest sleeper hits of 2025.
