Crushology 101 – K-drama Episode 9 Recap & Review
Heart Fluttering Unlocked
Episode 9 of Crushology 101 starts with Jae-yol walking Bunny home. They say their goodbyes, and Bunny heads in. The following morning, Jae-yol picks Bunny up and they head to school together.
Jae-yol's friends see the couple walking hand-in-hand and are surprised. Jae-yol officially introduces Bunny as his girlfriend, and Dong-ha feels proud of his friend. Bunny's friends are also happy for them. Ji-won tries to be happy for Bunny when she tells him the good news.
A few months pass, and the couple continues to grow strong. Within a short time, they are already celebrating their 100th day anniversary. As for their school work, Bunny is doing well, and so is Jae-yol.
On the home front, Bunny's parents are as loving as always. On the other hand, Jae-yol confesses to Bunny that he is trying to fix things with his mom. Bunny suggests he visit his mom when free.
Everything is going well until that weasel, Bong-soo, returns to the university. Bong-soo gets angry when he wrongly believes Bunny is dating Ji-won, a chaebol. He attacks Bunny when she is working on her piece late at night.
Simultaneously, Jae-yol calls her to check on her. He hears her screaming and rushes out to get to her. Bong-soo breaks Bunny's piece and is about to launch another hammer attack when Ji-won stops him. Ji-won saves Bunny and asks her to call the police.
By the time Jae-yol gets there, the police are taking Bong-soo into custody. Bong-soo calling Ji-won 'Bunny's man' surprises Jae-yol. After the terrifying ordeal, Jae-yol walks her home and makes sure she is okay.
The following morning, someone posts about the ordeal and refers to Ji-won as Bunny's boyfriend. People start commenting on the post, calling Ji-won a charming prince. They are all happy, thinking the confession tree from the festival worked its magic again. Bunny worries that the post might affect Jae-yol, but he lies that he is okay.
With Bunny's evaluation coming soon, she decides to pull all-nighters to fix her piece. As expected, Ji-won offers to help. One night, when Jae-yol and Dong-ha visit to drop off some midnight snacks, they notice how close Ji-won is to Bunny. Jae-yol asks Ji-won to leave for the States or put a moderate distance between himself and Bunny.
Meanwhile, Bunny starts to worry that her piece won't win, and she will lose the scholarship for her next semester. She talks to her parents, and they assure her they can handle it.
Over the next days, Bunny dedicates herself to finishing her piece with Ji-won by her side. Jae-yol tries his best to be there for her, too. However, he worries about her close relationship with Ji-won. He asks her to text when she gets home, but her phone dies and she forgets about it.
The next morning, Jae-yol tries to reach Bunny, but she is off. Out of concern, he visits her home. Bunny's parents warmly welcome him. Bunny is startled when she sees him at their dining table, but recovers quickly. After breakfast, they head to school, and Jae-yol expresses his frustration over Bunny not checking in. She promises to always tell him when she gets home safely.
As much as Jae-yol trusts Bunny, his jealousy increases when he drops by one night and finds Ji-won lovingly putting a blanket over a sleeping Bunny. He approaches them and gives Ji-won a warning. He then wakes Bunny up and takes her home. She apologises again, and he tries to ignore his jealousy.
The following day, the evaluation is done, and Bunny's piece is not picked. Of course, she is bummed about it. Before she can process it, she gets a call from her mom. It turns out her dad invested their savings in a scam. He trusted his friend, only for them to lose all their savings.
Bunny grows more frustrated and wonders if she is being selfish in chasing her dreams. In the meantime, Jae-yol gets the good news that his team is advancing to the next phase in the competition they entered.
Jae-yol excitedly calls Bunny, and she is happy for him. He invites her to a party with him, but she turns him down. She says she is tired and wants to sleep.
Unfortunately, Bo-bae and Kkot-nim drag Bunny out and invite Ji-won. Bunny shares her family's financial situation and her worries with her friends.
Instead of going out with his friends, Jae-yol opts to text Bunny and ask if she is open to having dinner together. His friends spot Bunny in a restaurant with her friends and call Jae-yol.
Surprised, Jae-yol asked for the location. In the meantime, Bunny's friends decide to call it a day and head home. Bo-bae and Kkot-kin leave first, while Ji-won stays behind to wait for Bunny's taxi.
As they wait, Bunny starts dozing off, and Ji-won places her head on his shoulder. Jae-yol arrives and is angered by the scene. He confronts Ji-won and asks him to stop crossing the line.
The Episode Review
Jae-yol's jealousy is valid. There is only so much he can tolerate before he blows his gasket. Ji-won has been using his friendship with Bunny to keep her close. He is positioning himself as the shoulder she can always lean on. It is understandable why Jae-yol thinks he is crossing the line.
Bunny needs to stop acting naïve and face the situation head-on. She knows Ji-won has feelings for her, and she can see what he is doing. She needs to set her boundaries and claim her man. She should have clarified the post.
Yes, she has a lot going on, but it would have taken only a few seconds of her time. As for Bong-soo, may we never see him again. The only thing we want to see moving forward is Dong-ha clearing his misunderstanding with Bo-bae.

Strictly's Karen Hauer looks smitten with boyfriend Simon Davidson as they relax on holiday
Karen Hauer looked smitten with her boyfriend Simon Davidson on holiday as they posed for a sweet Instagram snap on Thursday. The Strictly Come Dancing professional, 43, went makeup-free and showcased her enviable physique in a bright pink dress. Cuddling up to the former rugby player in the picture, the couple looked more than loved-up on their sunny getaway. She captioned her post: '3 days in… relaxation mode kicking in☀️' The pair sparked dating speculation in December 2023 when they were seen leaving the Strictly final together and later at a Birmingham hotel during the Strictly live tour. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. They then finally confirmed their romance in January 2024 by sharing a snap on Instagram of them cuddled up together during a countryside walk. Karen emotionally opened up about the breakdown of her second marriage to Kevin Clifton, as she insisted they 'belonged together'. The Venezuelan-American ballroom specialist married the dancer in 2015 - three years after joining Strictly 's team of professionals. They announced their divorce in 2018, but Karen has admitted the separation played out behind the scenes for months before she finally confirmed they were no longer together. Appearing on the latest edition of Paul C. Brunson's podcast, We Need To Talk, Karen insisted it was she who instigated the separation when it became clear that he had 'distanced himself' from the marriage. She said: 'This one hurt, because we belonged together. You wouldn't say each other's names without following the other person's name. 'I felt that he distanced himself from me, but I was probably doing the same. Because I felt that if you don't want me then OK, I'll retreat, I'll give you your space. It was one of those, where we're both not talking about it. 'I was like, "Do you want a divorce? Do you want to split up? I don't know what I want to do. What do you want to do? Do you know what you want? I don't know what I want. Are we broken up?"' 'So it took a while actually, it took about a year... behind the scenes. In front of the scenes everything was normal. 'We fell apart, and me not knowing... obviously, I didn't know what was happening in his mind and whether he wanted to be with me or not.' Despite calling time on the marriage after just three years, Karen claimed she would have worked at salvaging their relationship had he wanted to be with her. She said: 'I knew that I would've worked on it - I would've stayed. But at the same time, I couldn't be with someone who wasn't sure of whether they wanted to be with me or not. I couldn't wait. 'I waited for a while, and I was giving him his space to think, and then funnily enough I met someone. I was literally waiting to be loved. 'He just wanted a divorce, and I didn't fight it. Something had to happen in order for him to make a decision, because I wasn't going to make the decision. 'I wasn't going to pull the plug. So then I tripped and then the grenade went off. You know, I pulled the pin.' She added: 'It was tough for him, tough for me. It was tough for both of us at that moment. 'I could see he didn't want to let go. But that didn't give him any choice. He had to do the right thing for himself.' Despite their separation, Karen insisted she and Kevin maintained a mutual admiration for one another as trained professionals on Strictly Come Dancing. She said: 'The respect we had for each other in the workplace. We respected one another, you know. 'We never said a bad word about one another. I think that's because we hold each other to such a high regard, you know. 'There will always be love there. So, we still danced together on the show and we were still working around each other. We would still applaud each other, support each other. 'We never lost that and that was what was really sad, that we could and transfer that onto our relationship.' Kevin subsequently embarked on a new relationship with documentarian Stacey Dooley after the pair won Strictly together in 2018. The couple welcomed their daughter Minnie together in 2023. Meanwhile Karen went on to date opera singer David Webb before entering a new relationship with businessman Jordan Wyn-Jones, the man who would ultimately become her third husband. The dancer married Jordan in 2022 after they met online, but they divorced just 16 months later.

Sharing a collection of throwback snaps from their trip to the Serengeti where he asked her to be his wife, Hanni wrote: '365 days of being your Fiancée. 51 days until we become Husband & Wife' Resharing the post on his Instagram Story, Jack wrote: 'Happy one year anniversary @hannitreweek. I'm so lucky to call you my future wife.' Jack and Hanni got engaged during a romantic safari holiday in the Serengeti in June 2024. At the time, the couple posed for loved-up snaps in their safari getups to announce the happy news on social media. Flashing her sparkling engagement ring, Hannah beamed for the camera before kissing her new fiancé. Captioning the snaps, she gushed: '05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!!' Jack and Hanni have been dating since 2017, after meeting on the soap when she worked in the press office. She later became a storyliner on the ITV show, before quitting to work as a fashion influencer. Despite being colleagues, their romance actually began when Jack impressed Hanni at a mutual friend's wedding. Speaking to OK! Magazine in 2020, Jack recalled: 'Then our mutual friends got married and we were both guests at the wedding. 'We got chatting, I made Hanni laugh, we had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it.' The duo then later bumped into each other once again in a Sainsbury's, which led to an exchange of texts and a blossoming romance. He told The Daily Star: 'I texted her afterwards and said 'that was awkward' and she told me she thought she looked a mess and then we started texting from there. 'I actually thought she looked fit – I just saw the girl I fancy wearing Lycra! We quickly went on our first date and we just clicked.' In 2018, the couple went public with their relationship and Jack gushed that Hanni was his 'soulmate' in another interview with OK! Magazine. He went on to discuss their next steps during an appearance on Loose Women in 2020 during a chat about marriage. Jack said: 'I think it is only sensible really to have those sorts of conversations with a partner or someone that you're dating even if you're going out for like a few months, as soon as you know it's serious.' Hanni added: 'I think we fell quite quickly and from that we just clicked, and we were on the same page, and you do have those conversations but yeah I think we would like to... in the future.' Now, the couple are stronger than ever and are in the midst of wedding planning with their big day just months away. In March, Hanni shared a loved-up picture of the couple along with the caption: 'Love wedding planning with you, a cute lil wednesday evening menu tasting for the big day.' The smitten couple regularly share insights to their loved-up relationship, including date nights, the home they share, and their three dogs. Before his relationship with Hanni, Jack was engaged to ex Lauren Shippey, who he had been dating since he was 14 and shares two children with - Nyla and Reuben.
