Woman discovers she is one of three wives before husband arrested
A woman turned sleuth and uncovered a devastating dual deception about her spouse - which eventually resulted in his detention.
Tonya Betsey encountered Henry Betsey, Jr through Tinder, and the pair wed at the Duval County Courthouse in Jacksonville, US, on November 24, 2020.
"Meeting on a dating site and the way he portrayed himself, he sold the perfect person, when in reality he was none of those things," she cautioned.
Regrettably, it wasn't long before Tonya realised she wasn't the sole woman in Henry's existence. His betrayals emerged when she began investigating her husband's name through county court records, making the startling revelation that he possessed marriage certificates to two additional women.
Henry had wed his second spouse Brandy two years following his ceremony with Tonya, in February 2022. Just months afterwards, a third woman, Michele, encountered Henry on the dating platform Match.com, and they exchanged vows at a courthouse in Hernando County in November 2022, having known each other for merely three weeks, reports the Mirror.
"I just started county by county, putting in his name. And that's when I came up with the marriage to Michele and the marriage to Brandy," Tonya revealed to WFTS.

Betsey Jr. hadn't obtained divorces or annulments before remarrying, and no database exists that cross-references Florida marriage licences between counties. The spouses collectively hold Florida accountable for failing to cross-check marriage certificates across different counties.
Michele stated: "There are no safeguards, and I feel like that's part of where the system failed,".
Tonya further remarked: "If the counties did talk, it would have saved me a lot of heartache, a lot of money, a lot of stress,".
Betsey Jr. entered a guilty plea to the felony bigamy charge in May. During this week's sentencing proceedings, he expressed remorse for simultaneously wedding three women.
"First and foremost, I want to apologise to the ladies and I want to apologise to the court administration and to my family and friends that had to be involved in this. Because ultimately this is something that I didn't wish to be part of," he said.
Given Henry's clean criminal record - and with a separate Virginia case still pending - the judge outlined the legal constraints on the punishment he could deliver.
Judge Charles B. Merritt, Jr. declared: "I'm going to adjudicate him guilty of the bigamy offense, which is gonna make him a convicted felon," and "I'm gonna sentence him to two years' probation with 8 days credit for time served. You're gonna have to do a mental health evaluation, complete a certified battery intervention program."
Betsey's ex-wives and their relatives expressed disappointment that Henry avoided prison time - though they welcomed the chance to move on from the traumatic experience. "While I respect the court's decision and understand the reasoning behind the sentence, I can't say I was completely satisfied with the outcome. I had hoped for a stronger sentence," Tonya expressed in a statement.
"That said, I recognise that the judge weighed all the factors involved, and I accept the decision, even if it wasn't what I had expected.
"While it was not jail time, the fact that he is a convicted felon, that speaks mountains and I feel like that's vindication on our part," Michele added.

Katie Price accused of 'last act of desperation' hours before Princess Andre's show
Katie Price has been accused of trying to steal the limelight back from daughter Princess Andre, as the teen launches her reality TV show tonight Katie Price has been accused of one last act of 'desperation' as she posted a raunchy glamour model shot just hours before her daughter Princess makes her reality TV debut. The star's oldest daughter follows in her mum's footsteps with her own documentary style ITV series The Princess Diaries, but crucially omitted Katie from appearing. After admitting bursting into tears when she found out she'd been 'blacklisted' from a show all about her teen daughter's life, Katie insisted she would not be watching and would not be promoting the show. However, hours before the show's release, fans accused Katie of making a last ditch attempt to steal focus as she posed in an ultra revealing cut-out body suit. It comes after Katie Price worries fans with appearance in family photo after explaining weight loss. In her latest snap, the 47-year-old was seen grabbing her hair back in the seductive shot which appeared to be a throwback to her 'Jordan' modelling heyday. The shot, which was signed off with nothing but a black love heart, sent an immediate frenzy in the comment section. "Why publish this the night before your daughters series due to start smacks of desperation," one fan complained. "Please just stop... it's your daughter's time to shine, embarrassing her again!" eyerolled another. However, other fans insisted Katie was still at the top of her game and wasn't trying to outdo anybody. "She's not suddenly trying to make herself famous," fumed one. Other fans accused Katie of posting an old photo for attention, as they accused her of digging through the archives to post something shocking ahead of Princess' big day. While others were thrilled with the display of Katie's modelling prowess. "There's only one Pricey," insisted one. "I think you look incredible. Late 40s and still got it," agreed another. While a third told her: "You look beautiful Katie... ignore the haters." It comes after the Mirror exclusively unveiled a series of fresh claims about Katie's 'feud' with Princess. Insiders accused Katie of swerving a meet-up with Princess on her 18th birthday so she could carry on partying abroad instead. The mum-of-five had insisted she was banned from her daughter's 18th birthday party and that her former management team – who look after ex-husband Peter Andre and Princess – did not want her on the show as they considered her 'trash'. Speaking on her podcast, Katie claimed: 'Princess was like 'I'm having a party'. And I wasn't invited because it was for 'filming'.' She added: 'The fact is there's stuff my daughter is doing and I'm not allowed to be seen at any of it.' But insiders claimed her version of events was far from the truth. They said the 18-year-old had arranged to see her mum on the morning of her birthday in June in London – but Katie failed to appear. A source said: 'It was all in the diary but then Katie claimed she couldn't make it as she was abroad. It was disappointing. 'For Katie to then say she was banned from the afternoon's filmed party when she was the no-show in the morning is just beyond belief.' The former Celebrity Big Brother winner was later pictured partying in Ibiza, and then Dubai. She also reportedly accidentally shared a happy birthday Instagram message to Princess – 36 hours before her daughter's big day. Insiders are perplexed by Katie's attempts to 'repeatedly insert herself into her daughter's career'. The model herself claimed: 'I have not been allowed to go on any photoshoots, signings or Superdrug openings or anything like that. I'm not welcome.' But the source said: 'Why is she making this all about her? What sort of person on the eve of her daughter's show, starts throwing all these grenades and believes she knows what's best, and should be given equal billing? It's Princess's life, her career.'

Prince Harry's sour rift with William poses awkward dilemma as big royal event looms
It could be in the near future that the Royal Family will get to enjoy a very happy event - but it could prove awkward for warring brothers Prince William and Prince Harry A royal wedding is seemingly on the cards after a much-loved member of the family announced he is engaged. Princess Anne's son Peter Phillips revealed he popped the question to his girlfriend Harriet Sperling after a year of dating, with his fiancé being spotted at several high profile events, including Royal Ascot. Peter's uncle King Charles is said to have been delighted with the news as was his close cousin Prince William and his wife Kate. Although no date is believed to have been set for any nuptials yet, many have wondered who might bag an invite, especially as Peter is thought to be close to both estranged brothers, William and Prince Harry. It comes after news that Prince Harry will 'never be forgiven' by two major royals despite reconciliation hope. READ MORE: Prince William was 'human shield' in tense moment between Kate Middleton and Meghan And for former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, it could prove awkward when it comes to a guest list, but predicts there could be a surprise. She explained to the Mirror: "It seems that Harriet is already a hit in the Royal family. It was quite an accolade for her to be invited to join the carriage possession at Royal Ascot, and she was seen chatting animatedly with the King. "Given that both she and Peter are divorced, I suspect their wedding may be a fairly low-key civil ceremony. But Peter is very popular in the family and so the reception could well be at Windsor Castle or another royal residence. "As with all weddings, there will be a conundrum about who to invite. Peter was always very close to both William and Harry. During the difficult times he has been something of a buffer, for example, walking between them at the funeral of their grandfather, Prince Philip. "However, it's going to be awkward for him to invite them both to his wedding. On the other hand, both William and Harry attended the funeral of their uncle, Lord Fellowes, and even though they were in the same church and then the same room it seems they did not speak. So, anything is possible. "All things considered, it might be better for Peter and Harriet to have a quiet wedding with just a few friends and family present." Peter, 47, was previously married to Autumn Kelly, with whom he has two daughters Isla and Savannah. He also dated long-term partner Lindsay Wallace before they split last year and he later found love with Harriet, an NHS nurse. In April 2024, it was revealed that Peter had split with previous girlfriend Lindsay, who were said to have amicably separated with work commitments proving a stumbling block for the pair. His split with Lindsay came four years after it was announced Peter and ex-wife Autumn had called time on their marriage after 12 years - marking a tumultuous time for his love life. Peter married his first wife Autumn back in May 2008 in a grand ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor, with guests including the late Queen and Prince Philip as well as his cousin Prince Harry. Although Prince William was unable to make it, the Princess of Wales was invited, despite being unmarried at the time - and it is believed the wedding marked the first time she met the late Queen. The couple spent time living in Hong Kong through Peter's previous job with the Royal Bank of Scotland and eventually settled back in the UK with their two daughters Savannah, 14, the late Queen's oldest great-grandchild and Isla, 13. However, towards the end of 2019, the couple separated and revealed they had taken the difficult step in an emotional statement in 2020. When they married in 2008, the couple raised eyebrows when the pictures from the wedding were sold to a magazine for a large sum. And Jennie added: "I imagine Peter has learnt his lesson from his first wedding, when he sold the picture rights to a magazine for £500,000. It did not go down well with the Queen or the palace, who said it had been 'a serious error of judgement'."

Netflix's six-part limited series with 100% rating fans forget exists
Released a couple of years ago, the Netflix series is still going under the radar The Playlist Netflix trailer Netflix viewers are only now rediscovering a forgotten treasure that holds a flawless Rotten Tomatoes rating. The Playlist is a limited series billed as a docudrama which chronicles a fictionalised account of how music streaming giant Spotify came to be. The show draws inspiration from the book Spotify Untold. Spanning six episodes, The Playlist centres on young Swedish tech innovator Daniel Ek and his crucial collaborators who transformed an entire industry by providing free and legitimate streamed music globally. The synopsis describes it as a tale of how unwavering beliefs, relentless determination, opportunity and ambitious visions can enable underdogs to disrupt established norms by revolutionising how we all experience music. Despite debuting on the streaming platform in 2022, it appears countless Netflix users have overlooked its presence. This oversight seems peculiar given its perfect 100% score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, reports the Mirror. One reviewer proclaimed the series establishes fresh benchmarks for its category, stating: "The Playlist is near perfect. The mini-series sets the bar high for all biographical dramas to come after it. Particularly because it captures the ills of the tech industry, the joy, the fallout, and the many many people that all go into one success..." A critic from The Guardian hinted that the series finale alone makes it binge-worthy, writing: "One thing I won't spoil is how the series ends. This is because it is incredibly, brain-breakingly weird, and anyone who sits through all six hours of The Playlist deserves to feel the same jolting discomfort that I did." Conversely, another review, bestowing a full five stars, praised the series effusively: "The Playlist is 2022's best drama. The scripts are sharp, pacey, funny and cleverly structured to provide each key player in the story with a voice. The performances are great without straying into bluster or scenery chewing, and there's a constant motion in the narrative that keeps you utterly captivated. Do not skip this one." Netflix users who have discovered the show also speak highly of it, suggesting it's a limited series perfect for an evening's viewing. One viewer shared their enthusiasm online, saying: "Riveting enough to be a definite binge watch." Echoing this sentiment, another wrote: "Really great series. Enjoyed it and binge watched it in one evening. I also like the idea of how they built the episodes logically to make the whole story." Adding to the chorus of approval, another person posted: "The way they showed how the journey of each individual played into the plot was very impressive. A 10/10 absolute binge worthy." Another individual commented: "Highly gripping and inspiring. True reflection of today's startup culture. Loved it!". The Playlist is streaming on Netflix.
