Drake Cryptically Warns His ‘Next Chapter' May ‘Leave You Feeling Uneasy'

Yahoo11-03-2025

Drake appears to be working on his next era, though he's taken to social media to warn that it might not be for everyone.
The Canadian musician shared a post on Instagram on Monday (March 10), with its cryptic content swiftly generating much speculation as to what it might be referring to. 'U know I grew up non confrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold, but my these days the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore,' the post began.

Presumably, this could be in reference to the OVO rapper's high-profile beef with Kendrick Lamar, which recently saw Lamar performing the incendiary 'Not Like Us' at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, only days after it won record and song of the year, best rap performance and song, and best music video at the Grammys.
Drake had previously promised another round in their ongoing feud was on the horizon, with Lamar later addressing the 6 God's claim while announcing his halftime performance. 'You know there's only one opportunity to win a championship,' Lamar said. 'No round twos.'
As Drake continues his post though, he hints that whatever comes next may be uncomfortable for some, adding that an unidentified individual has been sending him texts. 'I understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity not charity that answers some questions especially about the unanswered texts you've been sending me,' the post concludes.
The cryptic nature of Drake's latest message is continued in the choice of photos used in the post, which – alongside selfies, live footage, and a screengrab from the 2017 film Phantom Thread – also includes an image of two Zofran pills, which the Mayo Clinic notes are 'to prevent nausea and vomiting that is caused by cancer medicines (chemotherapy) or radiation therapy.'
Specifics relating to Drake's upcoming plans remain unclear currently, but his update follows the release of his $ome $exy $ongs 4 U collaborative album with PartyNextDoor on Feb. 14, and the postponement of a number of Australian and New Zealand tour dates due to a 'scheduling conflict.'

The news of the singer-songwriter's passing was shared by his family on Instagram. The post reads: "We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away. "We are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving."We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world. Love & Mercy." No cause of death has yet been disclosed. One of the most respected and admired musicians ever to work within the field of pop music, Wilson was born on June 20, 1942 in Inglewood, California. He co-founded the Beach Boys with his brothers Dennis and Carl, their cousin Mike Love, and close friend Al Jardine in 1961, and the group were signed to Capitol Records the following year. The defining sound of Californian youth culture in the early '60s, Beach Boys went on to become the most iconic and successful American band of the decade, scoring Top 10 Billboard chart singles with songs such as Surfin' USA, Fun, Fun Fun, I Get Around , California Girls, Wouldn't It Be Nice, Good Vibrations and many more. In 1964, Wilson suffered a nervous breakdown and elected to withdraw from touring with the group to concentrate on songwriting and production. His group's acknowledged masterpiece, 1966's Pet Sounds, has been widely acclaimed as one of the greatest albums ever, with Wilson recognised by musicians worldwide as a songwriting genius for his innovative, groundbreaking and hugely influential compositional skills, his use of complex harmonies, his arrangements and orchestration. "I believe that without Brian Wilson's inspiration, Sgt Pepper might have been less of the phenomenon that it became,' Beatles producer George Martin is quoted as saying in Charles L Granata's book Brian Wilson And The Making Of Pet Sounds. 'Brian is a living genius of pop music. Like The Beatles, he pushed forward the frontiers of popular music."Beach Boys have sold sold more than 100 million records worldwide, according to their website. Last year it was revealed that Wilson was suffering from dementia, and was placed in a conservatorship, overseen by his manager and US publicist. The Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood was one of the first musicians to pay tribute to Wilson following the announcement of his death."Oh no, Brian Wilson and Sly Stone in one week ~ my world is in mourning," Wood posted on X. "So sad." In his own tribute, John Lennon's son Sean hailed Wilson as "our American Mozart."

Love Island's Shea Mannings: His age, Instagram, job and more

The bombshells are officially bombshelling. Last night's Love Island [11 June] saw not one, but two new Islanders enter the Villa, ready to shake things up: introducing Shea Mannings and Remell Mullins. The pair entered the Villa towards the end of the episode and were given some alone time with the girls to quiz them on what was happening with their various connections. The boys then joined the group and they all played a number of cheeky dares. And while it's not 100 per cent clear who Shea is interested in yet, it's safe to say the whole of X [formerly known as Twitter] are either hoping he'll couple up with Alima, or they can keep him for themselves. So when you're over your thirsting for Shea (we understand it could take a while) then this is everything you need to know about the latest Islander. Shea is 25 years old. Shea is from Bristol. Shea's nine to five is working as a scaffolder. As mentioned on the show during 11th June's episode Shea also plays football semi-professionally. According to OK! it appears Shea's most recent team he played for were Swindon Supermarine FC, but he also played for these teams in teh past too: "Bristol Manor Farm, Roman Glass St George, Ashton & Backwell, Larkhall Athletic, Metropolitan Police, Paulton Rovers, and Melksham Town." Yes! Before heading into the Villa, Shea revealed he has a young son from a previous relationship, whom he will take into consideration when looking to date any of the women. "I have a little boy, so I'll be taking him into consideration with who I couple up with, too," he said. When it comes to coupling up Shea kept his cards very close to his chest during his first episode, however, ultimately he's said he's looking for a woman who is "bubbly and we need to have that initial spark. She needs to have a nice personality - like I think I have - so that we match together." He also mentioned as he's reached the age of 25 he's now looking to settle down and have a more serious relationship, "But I am ready again to look for something more serious. I'm 25 now, so I want to be settling down and have someone always by my side." Ok so despite only just stepping into the Love Island Villa, it appears this isn't Shea's first connection with the world of Love Island. Back in June 2022, Love Island's Ella Barnes liked a number of Shea's photos, however Ella hadn't yet at that time been on the show. She also liked one of photo carousels back in July 2023. And in 2021, last year's Uma Jammeh also liked one of Shea's pictures from when he was playing football. However, now neither of the women follower the Islander. If you want to see even more of Shea outside of Love Island then follow him on Instagram at the handle @ where he has just over 6,000 followers and regularly posts from his footie matches and from his holidays with his mates, which includes trips to Ibiza. And he's also on TikTok too. The Islander's handle is @shea_fit and he mainly posts football content and the odd working out advice video. Want even more Love Island gossip?
