Victoria Beckham ready to 'fight back' as Nicola forms alliance with Meghan
Victoria Beckham is reportedly ready to 'fight back' as her son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz grow closer to Meghan Markle amid the bitter family feud
Fashion designer Victoria Beckham has reportedly been left shaken over Nicola Peltz and Meghan Markle's budding friendship. The former Spice Girl is said to be ready to "fight back hard" as the bitter family feud rumbles on.
Victoria and David Beckham have been left heartbroken over recent weeks as their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola continue to distance themselves from the family. Rumours of Beckham-Peltz fallout emerged in April when Brooklyn and Nicola snubbed David's 50th birthday celebrations and things have only got worse since.
Amid the drama, Meghan Markle is reportedly eager to strengthen her bond with billionaire heiress Nicola, as she and Prince Harry aim to form a 'US Fab Four' with Nicola and Brooklyn.
A source confided to Closer magazine about the burgeoning friendship: "The Sussexes are looking to really build on this friendship, and all of them see huge potential for it to evolve into a 'US Fab Four'."
"Creating this new power alliance is a big slap in the face for David, Victoria and the royals – but the four have zero qualms or regrets about that because they all feel like they've been so badly wronged."
Not only have Brooklyn and Nicola buddied up with Meghan and Harry, but the pair have also hired the same lawyer as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. It's now been claimed that Victoria's patience has finally worn thin with her son and daughter-in-law and she is reportedly ready to fire back.
"Vic is well aware of how well Nicola and Meghan have been getting on recently. It's more than a little annoying, but mostly she finds the whole situation quite sad. She's not going to take the bait - but if they want a war, she's ready to fight back. She won't tolerate their games, but ultimately, she's more concerned about rebuilding her relationship with Brooklyn."
The insider goes on to tell Heat magazine that Victoria is "100% secure in herself" and is unbothered by Nicola and Meghan's possible "scheming" as she knows she is a powerful player in her own right." The Mirror has approached Victoria for comment on this story.
Victoria isn't the only one in her family having a rocky time with the former royals. The relationship between David and Prince Harry is reportedly strained, with the Duke of Sussex having previously asked David to serve as an ambassador for the Invictus Games.
However, it was alleged that Harry didn't see David at the Sydney event in 2018, and rumours circulated that Harry was keeping his friend at a distance due to Meghan's concerns about Victoria leaking stories about her.
It was later reported that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola were guests at a dinner party at Meghan and Harry's Montecito mansion just days after Brooklyn missed his father David's 50th birthday celebrations in London.
Sources claimed the invitation was "unexpected", but it was gratefully accepted by the couple who felt "battle-wounded" from the family feud with the Beckhams. Meanwhile, Victoria and David are said to have "shuddered in horror" over this "new friendship".

Palace insider 'rages' at Harry and Meghan as move 'spelled disaster' for Queen
A Palace insider has reportedly called out Meghan and Harry over one awkward decision they made while distancing themselves from royal life. It allegedly 'spelled disaster' for the late Queen Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sent shockwaves across the world when they stepped down from royal duties five years ago, and a Palace insider was said to be left 'raging' at one aspect of their departure. When the couple first announced their desire to represent the crown on a part-time basis - while working towards being "financially independent" - royal watchers were stunned. And within the House of Windsor, a sense of impending "disaster" quickly settled, with a royal source claiming that one particular world in Harry and Meghan's sensational statement left insiders reeling. The couple made it clear that they never wanted to fully break away from the monarchy, but instead "carve out a progressive new role within this institution". In their initial statement, the Sussexes added: "We will continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties." But it was the use of the word "collaborate" that caused deep concern. The monarchy is, by definition, an inherently hierarchical institution. Only one person wears the crown, and the rest of the senior royals work to support the monarch - so the idea that there would be a collaboration of some kind left one Palace insider baffled, and 'raging'. "No one 'collaborates' with the Queen. This is not one of those 'Kate Moss Top Shop tie-ups'," the source told the Daily Mail. Another said, "Her Late Majesty was nobody's fool and knew that the chances were, it would all end in disaster". Meghan and Harry have gone on to embark on a number of high-profile professional endeavours, as they fund their own lives in California - including incredibly expensive private security and running their Montecito mansion. The couple produced a six-part self-titled documentary series for Netflix, during which they retreaded old ground about their reasons for exiting royal life, and provided never-before-seen insight into their love story, to the delight of their fans. Harry's memoir Spare broke records upon its release in 2023 and gave readers a behind-closed-doors look at what life growing up inside the monarchy is really like, warts and all - at least from Harry's perspective. Both of these high-profile - and incredibly candid projects - were not received well at the palace, with Prince William now totally estranged from his once-close younger brother, and King Charles - by Harry's own admission - refusing to speak to his son due to the Duke's ongoing legal battle of the removal of his automatic police security in the UK. Most recently, Meghan has stepped into the lifestyle world, launching a new series about hosting tips entitled With Love, Meghan and an accompanying brand - As Ever. She has also returned to Instagram, having given up her personal online accounts back when her relationship with Harry got serious and she planning to spend a lifetime as a working royal. Since returning to social media, Meghan has not been afraid to show her personality and some aspects of her private life - including recently posting a video of herself dancing around a hospital room the day she went into labour with her daughter Princess Lilibet. "Four years ago today, this also happened," she captioned the post marking her daughter's birthday. "Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!" In response to the clip, a source quoted as a palace insider told the Mail: "This is exactly why Queen Elizabeth knew this whole half-in, half-out version of royalty they were lobbying for was never, ever going to work. "Harry and Meghan were a law unto themselves from the start, pushing and pushing the envelope to their own professional and financial advantage."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's one word that left Queen fearing 'disaster'
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info An insider has claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's complete departure from their Royal duties hinged on the use of a single word. Now, five years after their dramatic step back as senior royals, the Sussexes seem to have fully moved on. The couple has been busy with their commercial projects, with Meghan increasingly sharing glimpses of her private life on Instagram, including a recent clip where she's seen twerking with Harry as they anticipated the arrival of their daughter, Princess Lilibet. Initially, when they announced their desire for change over five years ago, it appeared they didn't wish to leave Royal life entirely, proposing instead to "carve out a progressive new role within this institution". However, it seems a seemingly insignificant word in their announcement may have led to an all-or-nothing situation. In their statement about stepping back, the Sussexes mentioned: "We will continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties." READ MORE - Edinburgh restaurant that 'won't break the bank' crowned Scotland's best READ MORE - Edinburgh residents baffled as streets become 'dystopian future' for film set The Daily Mail reports that the term 'collaborate' caused a stir, with a source stating: "No-one 'collaborates' with the Queen. This is not one of those 'Kate Moss Top Shop tie-ups'." Amidst the Sussexes forging an alternate path, with Meghan in particular veering away from her past Royal life, an insider revealed: "This is exactly why Queen Elizabeth knew this whole half-in, half-out version of royalty they were lobbying for was never, ever going to work.", reports the Mirror. "Harry and Meghan were a law unto themselves from the start, pushing and pushing the envelope to their own professional and financial advantage. Her Late Majesty was nobody's fool and knew that the chances were, it would all end in disaster." Last week, Meghan released a dancing clip where she can be seen twerking to Starrkeisha's 'Baby Momma' while heavily pregnant; she lifts her skirt above the knees, throws her hands up, and gyrates low with hands on hips and legs apart. On Lilibet's fourth birthday, Meghan shared this clip commenting: "Four years ago today, this also happened. "Both of our children were a week past their due dates... so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!". Royal commentator Jennie Bond finds the video to be extraordinary by any measure, discussing the possible reactions from royalty. Speaking to the Mirror, the ex-BBC Royal correspondent stated: "The hours before you give birth are some of the most personal, intimate and private in the lives of any couple. "And women are perfectly entitled to do whatever they feel like to get through the waiting, and the pain. Giving birth is a serious business, and anything to lighten the mood is welcome. "However - to share those scenes with the world is utterly bizarre and, in my view, takes away all the magic of the moment. I cannot imagine why she chose to release it. Maybe show it one day to your nearest and dearest- but to anyone and everyone who wants to click on it?". "If the King has watched it, which I doubt, though he can't have missed the headlines I'm sure he would be horrified. Royalty has to carry with it some measure of dignity." But she added: "Having said all that, there's no doubt that videos like this connect in a very real way to young people. And perhaps that's what Meghan is trying to do. "My own daughter thought the video humanised both Meghan and Harry and was light-hearted and hugely relatable. It reminded her of her own pregnancies and labour and she thought it was rather charming."

Glamorous Coco Gauff tucks into surprising snack as she swaps tennis for WNBA on New York night out
Coco Gauff is at the peak of her sporting powers after winning the French Open at the weekend... but that doesn't mean she can't indulge in a sweet treat every now and again. Many may expect the world No 2 tennis star to follow a strict diet 24/7 to maintain her high performance on the tennis court, but she was allowed a night off in New York on Tuesday. The glammed-up 21-year-old was spotted in courtside seats at the Liberty WNBA game in Brooklyn, and she tucked into a packet of Sour Patch Kids candy as she enjoyed the action. In a photo of the tennis star, she can be seen giving the peace sign and beaming at the camera from her VIP seat, while wearing a blue jacket, ripped black jeans and a pair of New Balance sneakers. She wore an infinity chain around her neck and had her hair in a single plait, and was joined by her brother Cameron, as well as Kobe Bryant 's widow Vanessa. Gauff arrived back in the US this week after her incredible triumph at Roland-Garros, in which she beat world No 1 Aryna Sabalenka to win the women's singles title. Despite her young age, Gauff now has two Grand Slam titles, having won the US Open in 2023 - at the age of just 19. Gauff won't be back on home soil for long, with Wimbledon and the grass court season fast approaching. On Tuesday night, the defending WNBA champion Liberty dominated the struggling Chicago Sky 85-66 to keep their unbeaten start to the season going. New York are now 9-0 on the season as they bid to defend their title, while Angel Reese and the Sky are a worrying 2-6.
