In the UK, fans of the show can watch episodes on Channel 5 after Vanessa Feltz takes to the airwaves for her eponymous lunchtime show.
Back in February, it was announced that Lynne McGranger, 72, who plays Irene Roberts in the hit Aussie soap, will be leaving the show.
She made her initial debut on the Australian drama back in January 1993 and is longest-serving female actor on the show.
Now the actress is preparing to say goodbye to the show as she is set to embark on her tragic farewell storyline.
Viewers who have tuned into the soap in recent weeks would have seen the character experience significant lapses in her memory.
This includes one concerning incident where she nearly left baby Archie at home when she forgot her babysitting duties.
Taking support from her friend John Palmer (Shane Withington), she seeks help from Dr Bree Cameron (Juliet Godwin).
When she goes for the medical consultation, she is forced to face the gut-wrenching reason behind her behaviour.
The Bay will have to rally round the beloved resident as she faces her biggest challenge.
This will reportedly build towards an episode which some say will 'go down in Australian television history.'
Home and Away star, 45, has barely aged a day in 36 years since playing rebellious teenager on soap and drink drive arrest
At the time of her initial announcement, the 72-year-old explained: "After almost 33 years in my dream role and working everyday with people who I love, respect and whom I now consider family, it's bittersweet to be closing the chapter on what has been the best and longest gig of my life.
"I am forever grateful to the best production crew in the world and to our genius writers – whose doors are always open – for everything they have done for Irene over the past 33-odd years.
"And I am so proud of the storyline which will see Irene out of the Bay.
"Above all, a massive, heartfelt thank you to the fans for your continued love and support."

Matt Poole's new girlfriend hits back at troll who claimed she was 'trying so hard' to be the mother of Tammy Hembrow's daughter

Matt Poole's girlfriend Annelyse Oatway has hit back after an online critic accused her of 'trying too hard' to be a 'mother' to the former Ironman's young daughter Posy, who he shares with ex Tammy Hembrow. Poole, 34, welcomed the baby in June 2022, but later split with Hembrow that December. He started dating Annelyse in early 2023, and in May this year, the couple welcomed their first child. Taking to her Instagram stories on Thursday, Annelyse spoke frankly about her relationship with three-year-old Posy. She made her comments during a question and answer session, after one user asked, 'Why do you act so hard to be Posy's mum when Matt hasn't even proposed to you?' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Annelyse kept her cool during her lengthy reply though she was clearly irritated by the intrusive question. 'This one has come up quite a lot in the last few months so I think I should address it,' she began. 'First of all I want to start off by saying what does a ring have to do with anything? 'Things happened quite fast with Matt and I as it was, so we are just taking our time with what we need to.' And then in a surprise twist, Annelyse revealed a heartbreaking secret about her own family life. 'As to 'acting' like Posy's mum,' she said. 'I grew up in a broken family with a step mum who I did not get along with. That really affected me growing up. I never ever wanted Posy to feel the way I felt growing up.' She then stated firmly that she had never 'ever, ever, ever' tried to be Posy's mother. 'I always make it clear to her that I am her bestie,' she said. Annelyse also shared intimate domestic details. 'I include her mum in things. She [Posy] has always got her momma. That's not my role. Still, she added: 'I have helped raise her since she was one and a half. I have taken her to appointments, to swimming, to dancing and toilet trained her. 'And she's family to me.' It comes after Matt Poole appeared to take a thinly veiled swipe at his ex, Tammy last month. The swimming coach, who split from the fitness influencer at the end of 2023, shed light on the difficulties of co-parenting after receiving 'fifty missed calls and messages' from Tammy. He said it was 'never easy' raising children separately, especially when it comes to travel arrangements. Tammy, 31, fled the country in the wake of her split from husband Matt Zukowski, 29. At the time, she shared to Instagram she was heading to Queenstown with her kids. Matt and Annelyse's romance, meanwhile first sparked in early 2023, following his split from Tammy in December 2022. Their relationship blossomed and, after two years of dating, they have now grown their family. Annelyse, who keeps a relatively low profile online despite her 10,000 Instagram followers, is originally from the Gold Coast, Queensland.

Henri Szeps, film, theatre and TV actor known for the ABC's Mother and Son, dies at 81

Henri Szeps, the actor best known for his role in the ABC sitcom Mother and Son, has died aged 81. Szeps' decline from Alzheimer's was largely peaceful and 'Henri retained his sense of wonder and joie de vivre until the end,' a statement shared by the publicist for Szeps' son, broadcaster Josh Szeps, said. Szeps was the son of Holocaust survivors from Poland. Born in a refugee camp in Switzerland in 1943, he arrived in Australia at the age of eight with his mother and older sister. Szeps told the Refugee Council of Australia that despite children at his school in the Sydney suburb of Greenwich laughing at his 'foreign ways', it was the recognition he received from appearing – and earning more laughs – in school plays that made him realise he wanted to act. Szeps studied electrical engineering at the University of Sydney and also trained at Sydney's Ensemble Theatre in 1962. He moved to London in his 20s where he starred in I, Claudius alongside David Warner and toured in the Prospect Theatre Company with Derek Jacobi, according to the statement. On his return to Australia, Szeps took on the role of older brother Robert to Garry McDonald's Arthur Beare in comedy classic Mother and Son. He played the egocentric dentist – in what the Guardian described as 'the perfect 'love to hate' key' – from 1984 to 1994 He went on to appear in television series A Country Practice, Skippy, All Saints and Palace of Dreams. Szeps played prime minister Harold Holt in the series Vietnam which won a Logie and launched Nicole Kidman's career. He also appeared in Mission: Impossible, South Pacific and was Barry Humphries' choice to play a down-on-his-luck scientist, Charles Herpes, in Les Patterson Saves the World, the statement said. Szeps also had many significant roles on stage and long collaboration with the playwright David Williamson. His wife of 56 years and fellow actress, Mary Ann Severne, was by his side when he died, the statement said.
