Stacey Dooley says partner Kevin Clifton "let her down" after he returned home from tour empty-handed.
Strictly Come Dancing professional Kevin, 42 was away from home earlier this year performing in the musical Chicago. It left Stacey, 38, at home alone with daughter Minnie.
Television presenter Stacey says she likes Kevin to make a fuss about her whenever he's back home. On the Off Menu podcast, she was asked if Kevin had brought her any gifts back from his travels.
She replied: "Not really, he's really let me down there hasn't he. Got to pull your socks up, got to try harder, make an effort."
Stacey also opened up about loving the extra attention she receives from Kevin on Valentine's Day, recalling how he gifted her and Minnie matching necklaces to celebrate, reports Wales Online.

When talking about her affinity for Valentine's festivities, Stacey elaborated: "Some girls do get the ick, but not me, I need fuss, fuss, fuss. I just love treats."
Despite admitting her love for surprises, she quipped about the consequences if the romantic gestures were absent: "'If you don't get me anything for the 14th, you are dumped'."
She also mentioned that Kevin honoured the tradition by providing a bouquet of flowers for their daughter this year. On a concluding note, Stacey mentioned: "She got a bouquet off her dad. You've got to set the bar higher so when she's older, she doesn't go for a man who won't buy her anything for Valentine's Day."

Stacey, however, confessed she's not keen on receiving chocolate as a present. This revelation came as comedian Ed Gamble shared that he had purchased a box of Lindt chocolate balls for his wife Charlie.
Stacey remarked: "I'd rather nothing than a box of Lindt balls." Ed retorted: "Well, wait until you hear this, I've done half of those balls, she's not had one."
The Luton-born Stacey formed a winning partnership with Kevin when they triumphed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018. The couple made their relationship public in January of the following year.

In 2022, they announced Stacey's pregnancy with Minnie, and the family welcomed the new addition in January 2023. Having recently moved from London to Liverpool, Stacey frequently offers fans a peek at their dream home via social media.
This move brought the family nearer to Stacey's mother, who hails from Merseyside. Speaking to the ECHO, Kevin said: "Stacey loves looking at houses on the internet. Looking at interiors and stuff is her favourite thing to do.
"She just happened to have seen something she liked and thought 'oh it's not too far away from my mum'. We went and had a look and the second she walked in was like 'I love it and I can really see us living here'. It all happened really quickly and we love it."
He also mentioned: "Our little girl is going to be raised as a Scouser."

Bargain Hunt star David Dickinson shows off £280k Bentley as he does his weekly shop at supermarket

FORMER Bargain Hunt presenter David Dickinson turned up to do his shopping in a six-figure Bentley. The 83-year-old was spotted at the Marks & Spencer Handforth Dean in his native Cheshire which he had driven to in his Bentley GT Supersport. 5 Clad in a brown leather jacket and jeans, the TV presenter pushed a trolley full of shopping towards the black convertible on Thursday afternoon. The TV icon was an antique dealer before a chance meeting with a producer at a barbecue led the BBC making a two-part documentary about him preparing for an antiques show at the Olympia. He became a favourite among viewers thanks to his appearances as an antiques expert on This Morning and The Antiques Show on BBC Two. David then landed his own game show called Bargain Hunt which cemented his status as a TV star and he would go on to front for nine years until 2003. "I couldn't understand it at first I was just doing what came naturally but everyone seemed to pick up on my catchphrases such as 'cheap as chips' and 'what a bobby dazzler'," David said of the show on his website. "I was delighted when the show won a National Television Award in 2002 and I was there to accept it." After leaving Bargain Hunt, David had a lucrative TV career which helped earn him his estimated £2million personal worth. David also competed in reality TV series, Strictly Come Dancing in 2004 and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here the following year. "When I was asked to go into the jungle in 2005, everyone advised me against it but I thought 'I'll give it a go'," David said on his website about his stint in the Aussie jungle. "Some people go to a health farm and pay a couple of thousand pounds, but in there I lost more than a stone and had a detox, just a shame the weather was so rainy I was hoping to top up the tan." Iconic daytime TV show returns to screens after host was forced to deny he'd quit The antiques expert has long been a car-lover and has previously owned four Chevrolet Corvettes and several Rolls-Royces. He explained his love for Bentleys after getting his first one in 2003. "Bentley is a deluxe vehicle; a wonderful, classic marque. But it's not OTT," he told The Times in the same year. "The attention to detail is fantastic." 5 5 5

Huge band demand removal of 'unethical' adverts at venue before gig

Massive Attack - which consists of bandmates Robert '3D' Del Naja and Grant 'Daddy G' Marshall - criticised Barclays in a statement ahead of a gig at Co-op Live in Manchester Massive Attack have criticised Barclays and shared their views, claiming it is an "unethical corporate identity" ahead of a gig at a venue sponsored by the company this week. The band were set to take to the stage at Co-op Live in Manchester before they made the statement. It follows the news of a partnership between the indoor arena and Barclays last month. Two weeks ago, it was announced that the bank has become a "founding partner" of Co-op Live, which opened in the city last year. ‌ Massive Attack - comprised of Robert '3D' Del Naja and Grant 'Daddy G' Marshall - hit out over the partnership in a statement shared on Instagram just hours before their concert at the venue last night. They referenced both fossil fuel extraction and Palestine, and accused Barclays of being a "profoundly unethical corporate identity". ‌ The band, known for songs such as Unfinished Sympathy and Teardrop, said that the gig would still go ahead, though. They told fans that organisers had agreed to remove Barclays promotional material from the arena for it. In their statement shared with their 401,000 followers, the band wrote: "We're so happy to be back in Manchester, and to be playing in this city tonight. We confirmed this show at Co Op Live arena back in January, not least because of the venue's strong sustainability credentials and ethical sponsorship." They continued by writing: "15 days ago, without any advance warning or notification, the arena ownership announced a new corporate sponsorship with Barclays: a commercial identity synonymous with the large-scale financing of new fossil fuel extraction, and billions of dollars of investments in arms companies that supply Israel in its genocidal onslaught of Gaza, and war crimes in the West Bank. "Objectively, Barclays is a profoundly unethical corporate identity. We believe Barclays has no place in any of our cultural or sporting arenas and only learned (with disbelief) of the arena partnership via a local media story." ‌ Massive Attack added: "As a band, we do not want to disappoint fans who have spent their hard-earned money on tickets and are looking forward to the show, especially at such short notice. Co Op Live ownership have agreed to our insistence that all physical and digital Barclays livery and logos be completely removed from both the arena itself and our show page on the arena website, and that no show tickets - for sale or complimentary - will be given to Barclays." The band's statement concluded: "At a time when the world works to tackle climate emergency, and watches on in despair and horror at the scenes of civilian slaughter in Gaza, we're stunned that the arena ownership took this decision to partner with Barclays - especially in a progressive city like Manchester - and then attempted to retroactively apply that sponsorship to artists who would have been deeply uneasy, or refused to align their performances with a venue with Barclays as partner. See you tonight, Manchester. In love and rage, Massive Attack." ‌ Shortly after releasing their statement, Massive Attack shared posts promoting the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty, which is an initiative to "accelerate a transition to renewable energy". It included posting a photo of themselves as part of a group holding up a sign for it whilst in Manchester. Among the group of five was Andy Burnham, the Mayor of Greater Manchester. The band wrote in the caption of the photo: "Proud to be part of this story: endorsing the [initiative] with Mayor of Greater Manchester [Andy]." Co-Op Live previously said it had a "shared mission" with Massive Attack to "lead the future of sustainable live entertainment". On a page for the gig, it said it would commit to a "fully plant-based" menu for the show in alignment with the band's "longstanding dedication to environmental action".

Dame Arlene Phillips gets mistaken for Shirley Ballas The 82-year-old star was a member of the judging panel on Strictly Come Dancing between 2004 and 2008 Arlene Phillips (Image: Getty Images ) Dame Arlene Phillips says people regularly confuse her with Shirley Ballas. The 82-year-old star was a member of the judging panel on Strictly Come Dancing between 2004 and 2008 but revealed that she often gets mistaken for the current head judge on the BBC's Saturday night staple in public. ‌ Speaking to the i newspaper, Arlene said: "People come running up to me shouting, 'Shirley! Shirley!' and I have to say, 'No, I'm the other one!'" ‌ Phillips was controversially replaced on the Strictly judging panel by Alesha Dixon in 2009 – with the move sparking ageism allegations and drawing over 2,000 complaints from the public – but she largely ignored the furore. She explained: "I guess I... I didn't notice it that much at the time. I wrapped myself in my world and got on with life." Arlene added: "(People approach me) all the time to say, 'You should never have gone!'" Article continues below The star revealed that she continues to watch Strictly Come Dancing in "bits and pieces" as she remains good friends with her former judging colleague Craig Revel Horwood and choreographer Jason Gilkison. Arlene said: "(I watch Strictly) in bits and pieces on catch-up. It's rare I'd sit still on a Saturday night for a couple of hours but I'm also close to Jason Gilkison and I love watching the big dance number he's created." The choreographer, who was the oldest-ever contestant on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! when she took part in the 2021 series of the ITV reality show at the age of 78, is working on a gender-flipped take on William Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream and has no plans to retire any time soon. ‌ She said: "Why would I, when there are so many interesting opportunities out there? New ideas keep you young." Meanwhile, Arlene previously hit out at the trend for politicians appearing on Strictly Come Dancing and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! as she thinks it's wrong for them to "make fools of themselves" and play "silly little games" in front of the viewing public. She told the Daily Mirror newspaper's The Diary column last year: "I'm not big on politicians, even ex-politicians, going into the jungle or dancing on Strictly. Article continues below "I actually don't like them making fools of themselves. "We try to teach our children and grandchildren to respect people who are governing and running the country, not going on shows, doing silly little games."
