WWE has already confirmed three high-profile matches for the show, each with its own share of backstory and implications.
AJ Styles faces Finn Balor after judgment day tension
One of the night's main attractions is a singles bout between AJ Styles and Finn Balor, two former Bullet Club leaders whose paths now cross under very different circumstances. The match was set up during a tense backstage segment on this week's RAW, where Styles informed Dominik Mysterio of his intentions to challenge for the Intercontinental Championship - regardless of whether Mysterio or Penta walks out of Backlash as champion.
In response, Dominik turned to Balor for backup. Although Balor initially bristled at being seen as someone's enforcer, he eventually agreed with a smirk - highlighting the ongoing friction within The Judgment Day. With both men holding long-standing grudges and international reputations, the showdown between Styles and Balor could have serious title implications.
Creed Brothers take on War Raiders in tag team clash
Another major match announced for RAW features the powerhouse duo of Julius and Brutus Creed (American Made) going up against former tag champs Erik and Ivar, collectively known as The War Raiders.
After losing their titles to The New Day at WrestleMania, the
War Raiders
are looking to reassert themselves as top contenders.
Meanwhile, The New Day approached Chad Gable backstage, arguing that the Creed Brothers deserved a shot at the gold before the War Raiders get a rematch. The outcome of this match could determine who moves up in the title picture on the red brand.
Women's division heats up with tag team showdown
In a highly anticipated women's tag match, current Women's World Champion
Iyo Sky
will team up with Rhea Ripley to take on rising stars Roxanne Perez and Giulia.

The match stems from a heated sequence on RAW where Sky defeated Perez, only to be blindsided by Giulia after a deceptive show of sportsmanship.
With tensions already running high in the women's division and WrestleMania fallout still fresh, expect this tag team bout to deliver intensity and perhaps spark new rivalries heading into the summer.
For now the confirmed matches are:
AJ Styles vs Finn Balor
vs Finn Balor War Raiders vs Creed Brothers
Iyo Sky & Rhea Ripley vs Roxanne Perez & Giulia
Fans can expect more developments following Backlash, with surprises likely in store.

War 2 box office collection day 6: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR's film slows down further, earns Rs 193 cr in India
Ayan Mukerji's spy thriller War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, seems to have hit a plateau. After scoring in double digits every day of the extended opening weekend, it saw a massive 75% drop on Monday, slipping down to single digits. That continues on Tuesday (day 6) as the film witnessed another minor dip in numbers. On Tuesday, War 2 earned Rs 8.25 crore, which is even lower than what was its lowest single-day collection so far, on Monday (day 5) at Rs 8.75 crore. The massive fall on Monday followed decent weekend collections of Rs 33.25 crore and Rs 32.65 crore on Saturday (day 3) and Sunday (day 4) respectively. Its highest single-day collection, however, was on Friday (day 2) on the occasion of Independence Day at Rs 57.85 crore, higher than even Rs 52 crore, its figure on the opening day (Thursday). As per Sacnilk, the current domestic box office earnings of War 2 stands at Rs 192.75 crore across all three languages — led by a far margin by the original Hindi version, followed by the dubbed Telugu and Tamil versions respectively. In the process, War 2 has eclipsed other star vehicles of this year like Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par (Rs 166.58 crore), Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 (Rs 179.30 crore), Akshay Kumar's Sky Force (Rs 134.93 crore), and Salman Khan's Sikandar (Rs 129.95 crore). But it's yet to beat the box office run of Kumar's Housefull 5 (Rs 198.41 crore) and yet to enter the coveted Rs 200 crore club in India. As per a press release by the production house, Yash Raj Films, War 2 showcased an impressive box office run, earning Rs 54 crore across all languages on Thursday. It saw a surge on Friday, collecting Rs 61 crore, and continued to draw audiences over the weekend with Rs 36 crore on Saturday and Rs 34 crore on Sunday. By the fifth day, the film grossed an additional Rs 9.50 crore. International markets responded favourably, contributing Rs 60.50 crore, thus catapulting its total gross box office collection to Rs 300.50 crore. War 2 is the latest addition to Aditya Chopra's expansive YRF Spy Universe, a series celebrated for its engaging spy action themes, which also includes Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War, Pathaan (2023), and Tiger 3 (2023). The next instalment in this universe, Shiv Rawail's Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol, is slated to release in cinemas this Christmas on December 25.
