
Sheikh Sultan promotes 49 senior and 818 junior officers
His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, issued an Emiri Decree promoting 49 senior officers to the ranks of Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, and Brigadier.
Sheikh Sultan also approved the promotion of 818 junior officers, assistant officers, non-commissioned officers, and individuals across the regular entities of Sharjah Government, including Sharjah Police, Sharjah Amiri Guard, Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, and Sharjah Police Sciences Academy.
This was announced by Major General Abdullah Mubarak Bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, during Direct Line programme hosted by Mohammed Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.
Bin Amer stated that the total number of promotions is 867, encompassing personnel from the Sharjah Police, Sharjah Amiri Guard, Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, and Sharjah Police Sciences Academy.

Sheikh Abdullah meets US counterpart in Washington DC
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held talks with US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, during a working visit to Washington DC. The two officials reviewed "avenues of bilateral cooperation across several developmental sectors, particularly in the economic, commercial, scientific, advanced technology and artificial intelligence fields," national news agency Wam reported. Discussions also covered the state visit of US President Donald Trump to the UAE in May, with both sides affirming that the visit's outcomes reflected the strength of the UAE-US ties and their joint resolve to deepen cooperation and expand partnership in all fields. Sheikh Abdullah praised the long-standing strategic partnership between the two countries, underscoring that the US remains a key strategic ally. He expressed the UAE's commitment to work jointly with the US to further strengthen the relationship in a way that achieves greater prosperity and sustainable development for both nations and their people. During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and Marco Rubio also discussed overall regional developments. Sharjah Crown Prince receives leader of Dawoodi Bohra community
Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, received, on Tuesday, Dr Sultan Mufaddal Saifuddin of the Dawoodi Bohra community, along with his accompanying delegation, at the Sharjah Ruler's Office. At the start of the meeting, attended by Sheikh Majid Bin Abdullah Bin Majid Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Government Relation, the Crown Prince warmly welcomed Dr Sultan Mufaddal Saifuddin. He conveyed the greetings of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to the Sultan of the Bohras. Earlier, His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received Sultan Mufaddal Saifuddin of the Dawoodi Bohra community at his palace in Saqr Bin Mohammed City. The meeting discussed a number of humanitarian and social topics and highlighted the importance of supporting charitable initiatives and sustainable humanitarian projects, as well as promoting the concepts of religious tolerance and coexistence among different sects and religions.
