Stacey Solomon defends her £1000 a night holiday in Turkey after she's branded 'smug' and accused of blagging 'freebie' trip - as she shares stunning new family snaps
The Loose Women star, 35, husband Joe Swash, 43, and their brood have just returned from a sun-soaked break to the five-star Regnum The Crown in Antalya where rooms start from around £1,000 per person per night.
During their luxurious break, Stacey kept her fans updated with a plethora of fun snaps, with the presenter's most recent post featuring a carousel of stunning family images featuring her five children Zachary, 17, Leighton, 12, Rex, five, Rose, three, and Belle, two.
However, Stacey's idyllic lookback on her trip has somewhat been tainted as some of her followers have hit out at her for taking such an expensive holiday, with some even suggesting that she didn't even pay for the trip and was gifted it instead.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Stacey later defended her costly getaway, writing: 'This is the third time I've come back here. This wasn't a free holiday. I just love this place so much and think it deserves the BEST reviews and tags ever because it's just incredible.'
In a further post, she further attempted to justify the price, remarking: 'Our happy place @regnumthecrown. This is our third year coming back here which says a lot. I have NEVER been someone who goes back to the same place every year but it's perfect for all our children and their different ages.
'Nothing compares. It is very expensive. I do think it is worth every penny and more for what it has to offer. If I knew about this place earlier I would have had our honeymoon here and special holidays here because it's just insane.'
While much of the feedback from her trip had been positive, she was met with a handful of naysayers who seemingly took offence at her luxury trip.
Comments on a selection of snaps during the course of her trip included: 'Did you pay for your holiday this time?'
'So another well subsidized holiday for the entire family. It makes me throw up.'
'hotel is 4 k each ,no airs n graces really tho ...'
'You planned that well meeting up with @mollymae .Was it a freebie holiday as it's massively expensive.'
'The seriously smug family.'
However, plenty of Stacey's loyal fans were quick to leap to her defence as they told how she works hard and deserves her holiday.
They penned: 'Imagine getting so triggered because her holiday was super expensive. She'll never win, if she went on a budget holiday something would be said. If you could afford a luxury holiday you'd do the exact same because I know I would.'
'Stacey never stops and has worked hard to get to where she is, so I think a holiday is well deserved. I for one happy for her and lovely to see such a happy family.'
'Just costed this up as I'm a Travel Agent and whilst it is spenny. We book families who aren't famous to more expensive places than this. It's what I would expect from a celebrity but there are certainly more expensive places out there for families in Europe. A lovely five star in Turkey, Stacey has done a great job and deserves a lovely place but I wouldn't say she's bragging as she could have defo gone crazier for sure.'
It comes after Stacey revealed she's struck up a sweet friendship with Molly-Mae Hague after their pair met at dinner during their respective holidays to Turkey.
Both the Sort Your Life Out host and the Love Island star, 26, were holidaying separately with their families at the five star Regnum The Crown in Belek this month.
And Stacey took to Instagram on Sunday to gush over her newfound friendship with the star, before issuing an invitation to Molly-Mae, partner Tommy Fury, 26, and daughter Bambi, two, to visit her Pickle Cottage home.
Sharing a beaming snap of herself and Molly-Mae with their arms wrapped around each other, Stacey penned: 'Got to spend the first part of our holiday with @MollyMae, @TommyFury and Bambi. Bumped into them at dinner one night and fell in love.
However, plenty of Stacey's loyal fans were quick to leap to her defence as they told how she works hard and deserves her holiday.
'Genuinely the nicest, most down to earth family. And Bambi omg I can't. Just the most kind hearted little one. Rose was gutted when she left!
'Can't wait for them to come to pickle cottage.'
Stacey also uploaded a snap of her son Leighton, 12, posing with Tommy and a pal as she told how her boys were 'buzzing' to meet the boxer.
While Molly-Mae is yet to share her own tribute to her new pal, she did re-share Stacey's post, adding love heart and teary eye emojis.

Aussies confess the WORST things about living Down Under - so do you agree?
Australia has always been nicknamed the 'lucky country'. But a recent discussion saw many locals admit there were several major downfalls to living in Australia. The topic ignited on a popular 'Australian living' thread when a woman encouraged fellow locals to dish on 'the worst part about living Down Under'. 'I see a lot of posts about the best things in Australia, but what is your least favourite thing about living [here]?' she asked. 'Personally, I hate that barely any (non-Australian) musicians come here,' she offered as a springboard for the conversation. By far the most common response was the issue of Australia's geographic isolation and the fact that it was 'so far from everywhere'. 'It honestly is a long way to go to see the world,' read the most popular response. 'I can't just up and drive to another country,' lamented another. That sentiment was especially felt by Aussies who regularly travelled internationally for work or to visit loved ones. Some Aussies even admitted that the burden of 'long haul flights' was ultimately a breaking point for them to move abroad. 'I travel a lot and couldn't justify any more long haul flights just to get home,' one person replied. '[It] was just too much to handle.' 'Australia is in the worst location for people that just wanna go somewhere new and different for the weekend,' another person replied, adding that they had since 'moved to Europe'. Some comments also noted that the inverse was also an issue. Namely, that not only was it difficult for Aussies to get anywhere overseas, but that international visitors were reluctant to make the huge pilgrimage down under. '[I]t's a long way to go for the world to see us,' added one sad reply. 'We miss out on so many bands, and when they do come, they only visit three cities,' the person added, echoing the original poster's complaint. However, some noted this very issue about Australia being so far away simultaneously contributed to what made it great. 'The worst thing is also the best thing - we are so far away from so many places,' they replied. They elaborated that the distance ensured Australia remained a quiet, peaceful and uncrowded place. But this also raised another related issue among many, who claimed Australia is 'boring'. Several commenters felt Australia's major cities lagged behind other cosmopolitan places around the world. 'In comparison to a lot of other countries, nightlife here is pretty boring and museums are kind of meh,' claimed one. 'People go to work, drive home, and watch tv. There's no community or "Joie de Vivre",' another echoed. On a totally different note, the other major repeated complaint concerned how unaffordable housing and property was in Australia, and the inflated cost of living. 'Housing cost s*cks,' one wrote. '[T]he housing market is broken here, but I do like the weather,' added another. 'Cost of living is also obscene. Cars, houses, food, utilities, fuel, insurance, coffee, restaurants, and damn near everything else,' reflected one more. Perhaps surprisingly, the 'copious amounts of bugs' that thrive in Australia were also called out as an annoying by-product of being Down Under. 'Flies, mozzies, spiders, beetles, wasps, and the greatest number of ants I've ever seen,' one wrote. 'Sydney's cockroach problem (partly caused by the high humidity which is another worst thing about living here) is absolutely awful,' another said.

Stunning Leanne Grant was seen bonding with the mum-of-three during the first mixer of the series before being whisked off to Ibiza to get to know her better. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 4 Christine McGuinness appeared on Celebs Go Dating to find love Credit: Instagram 4 A woman she dated has opened up about the show 4 The pair hit it off straight away She has now revealed she wasn't paid to do the show and shed light on exactly what she had to fork out for on the lavish trip, which ended with Chrstine quitting the show altogether. In a new TikTok video, she explained: 'I wasn't paid for the amount of episodes I was on the show. Expenses were paid for, so my flight to Ibiza was paid for, the mixer was also paid for, the long as you have your receipts, that was all covered. 'They covered lunch and dinner. If we was off-site from the hotel everything was catered for. It was amazing. 'Chef was amazing, the staff were amazing, really, really lovely people. And we had breakfast, lunch and dinner, just like a buffet really. 'So it was like going to Ibiza on an all-inclusive holiday that I didn't have to pay for. Obviously, as a single mum of three, I was gassed.' She continued: 'I did spend a lot of my own money though, not going to lie to you, like in-duty free, a bit of alcohol, Prosecco, a couple of bottles, just to have fun, especially in the night time as well.' Despite getting on well with Christine, her time on the show came to an abrupt end when the Loose Women star - who was married to comedian Paddy McGuinness, 51, until their split in 2022 - made the shock decision to leave during the latest episode. Speaking to the show's agents, she said: "Well, I've been thinking quite a lot whilst we've been in Ibiza and I think I need to date in more of a natural environment. "I think I just would love to meet somebody and date more privately. It's where I'm kind of feeling myself going back, when I want to go freely forward. "Right. And I've made the decision to leave the agency." 4 Christine broke down in tears on tonight's episode Emotional Christine McGuinness opens up about Paddy's 'mistakes' in split saying 'the trust was broken'
