Katy Perry narrowly avoids massive wardrobe malfunction while performing
Popstar Katy Perry expertly handled a potentially tricky moment during a live show in Las Vegas over the weekend.
The I Kissed a Girl singer, 40, is currently in the middle of her Lifetimes world tour and was on stage in the Nevada city on Saturday.
After her brief trip to outer space earlier this year, Katy will be coming to the UK in October, with dates planned for Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, and London.
As has been shared in a number of viral clips since the start of the tour, Katy starts sprinting at one point in the show – specifically during a remix of her song Part of Me.
And during her Vegas performance over the weekend, that sprint nearly resulted in an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction – but the Roar hitmaker played it off well.
Starting off at jogging pace during an instrumental section, Katy ran around the circular stage in thigh-high boots and a sparkling crop top and bra combo – her outfit for the tour.
The video then shows the Hot n Cold singer suddenly slowing down to a walking pace as she reaches around to try and hold the straps of her bra together.
Styling out the sudden stop into a cool strut, she then laughed the situation off and let her fans know what had almost happened before asking one of her crew to put her bra back together.
'Oh, my bra's gonna come off,' she joked, dancing along to the song. She then danced for a few seconds more before realising she couldn't get her bra back together on her own.
Walking over to the side of the stage, Katy signalled for one of her crew to help, saying 'Get my bra back on, Patrick' before turning to the audience and joking: 'Sorry, guys, you didn't pay that much.'
Katy then got back to her performance, which immediately involved shouting 'Woah-oh!' at the top of her lungs and dramatically performing a death drop.
On TikTok, fan Carlo De Santis said: 'This looks like a dream you try to explain to someone and then give up halfway through. 'Katy Perry ran her bra off and there were these guys who were half-robot swaying back and forth'… oh never mind.'
However, the tour itself appears to be going along successfully, despite Katy receiving calls from critics to suspend all shows after a 'cringe' performance went viral. More Trending
On X, user Mo wrote a month ago: 'She needs to cancel this tour before it cancels her career I'm so serious.'
Clips circulating on social media in April showed Katy dancing on stage, swinging from side to side and throwing her hands up in the air and falling to the floor, just like in the most recent video.
After watching, many people weighed in – and some were less than impressed, with TikTok user Madji saying: 'This is the worst choreography I have ever seen in my life.'
Despite the calls for Katy to cancel the tour, very few tickets remain for her UK dates later in the year and several of her dates around the world have sold out.

'Spudman was great for show' Kevin Reade, of Reade's Hog Roast Event Caters, said he would usually sell about £10,000 worth of food over the two days of the he spoke to the BBC he said takings were slightly down compared to previous years, but stressed that Spudman was "great for the show"."I think it's a bit of a gimmick, but he is a really nice guy and I met him this morning and he had one of my hog roasts and said it was excellent," he said."Even my grandson wanted a picture taken with him, how bad is that? I have been doing this for 40 years but he has never wanted one with me." Spudman told the BBC he wanted to use his platform to help elevate other small businesses."We are here to support the other traders, we make videos with them, we eat their food, and we try and support as many of them as we possibly can," he said."If you go on my TikTok there are videos from other traders - I love going into other businesses and showing my followers something other than jacket potatoes."We are here to promote, we're not here to take anything away from other people - it's not about us." Hollyoaks star 'ties the knot with businessman fiancé she met on aeroplane'
The actress, who is best known for her role as Katja on the long-running soap, went public with her relationship six years ago Hollyoaks star Caroline Koziol has reportedly married her fiancé Phil Thornett after first meeting him on an aeroplane. The actress, who is best known for her role as Katja on the long-running soap, went public with her relationship six years ago and has now walked down the aisle with her closest friends and family attending the ceremony. According to reports, the gorgeous couple tied the knot in the countryside at a ceremony attended by their family and friends including former Hollyoaks co-star Rory Douglas Speed, who is known for his role as Joel Dexter in the Channel 4 series. Caroline and Rory became close friends on the set of Hollyoaks. As per The Sun, Caroline reportedly met her now-husband Phil on the plane and quickly fell for him. The Mirror have contacted Caroline for comment. The actress appeared on Hollyoaks for a short stint in 2021 where she portrayed a Polish immigrant named Katja. Her character was the unsuspecting van driver of laptops that Warren Fox, Felix Westwood and Brad King were going to steal from. As their plan unfolded, Felix - dressed as a policeman - directed her into a garage but she soon became weary of him when she noticed he wasn't wearing a proper stab vest. Felix panicked about what to do and tied her up before placing her in the back of the van. During the chaos, Katja managed to escape from him. While escaping in her van, she accidentally hit Maxine Minniver. Meanwhile, outside of Hollyoaks, Caroline appeared as Mariana in Line of Duty in 2019. Not only has she appeared in over 20 Bollywood films, she also received a nomination for Best Actress at the Los Angeles Film Festival for her role in the short film, Dream Catcher. The actress also has almost 200,000 followers on TikTok and entertains fans with her endless, unique sketches and posts. Speaking about content creation, she previously said: "My followers give me so much, and I've built a community with them. I read every comment, and I'm incredibly grateful for the support I receive. "However, it wasn't easy to start with. I tried to succeed on TikTok for the past two years, but none of my channels were successful. I kept posting every day for nine months, and through consistent effort, I finally managed to build an audience. "I found it tricky at the beginning because my videos barely got any views, but I read that consistency is key, so I decided to keep going."
