The rap mogul—who has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution—verbally addressed those inside the New York City courtroom where he was being tried on May 20.
"I love you all," Combs said aloud as court adjourned for the day, before adding under his breath, per People: "Yeah. Love."
He went on speak to a woman in the gallery, telling her in what appeared to be a reference to his 31-year-old son Justin Combs, "Please let Justin know I'm thinking of him."
But this was not Combs' first public declaration of love in his trial. As seen in courtroom sketches from his May 13 appearance, the 55-year-old made a heart gesture with his hands as he was led to his seat at the defense table.
While Combs has yet to take the stand, several notable figures from his past have already testified in the proceeding—including ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

In her testimony, Ventura said she participated in hundreds of sex parties known as "freak offs" with hired escorts at the instruction of Combs. The "Me & You" singer said she would have to perform even when she was suffering from painful urinary tract infections (UTIs), alleging that Combs threatened to release footage of her from the sexual encounters should she stop participating in them.
"I would get sores on my tongue from the freak offs from taking drugs," Ventura, 38, recounted in her testimony, according to NBC News, "from oral sex, also from having my mouth on things where there was oil and Astroglide and lubricants."
Ventura ultimately left Combs in 2018 after more than a decade of dating.
"It was always in the back of my mind that I would somehow be hurt by him," Ventura testified. "Sean is a really polarizing person. He was very charming, it was hard to decide in that moment when he was telling you what he wanted. I just didn't know what would happen."

GoFundMe Campaign for Mom of 3 Girls Who Police Suspect Were Killed by Dad Raises Over $1 Million

More than $1 million has been raised on a GoFundMe campaign supporting Whitney Decker, whose three daughters were alleged to have been killed by their father Paityn Decker, 9, Evelyn Decker, 8, and Olivia Decker, 5, were found dead on June 2 in Chelan County, Wash., three days after they never returned from a planned visit with their father, Travis Decker Travis is the subject of an ongoing manhunt and is wanted on charges of murder, kidnapping and custodial interferenceSupport has been shown for Whitney Decker, the Washington state mother whose three daughters police suspect were murdered by their father. The donations on a GoFundMe campaign set up to help Whitney with expenses and legal costs amid the tragic loss of Paityn Decker, 9, Evelyn Decker, 8, and Olivia Decker, 5, have soared over $1 million as of Monday, June 9. "Their light touched so many, and the pain of this loss is immeasurable," organizer and friend Amy Edwards wrote. "I've known Whitney for years, we're both dance moms and theater friends [and I've] had the privilege of teaching Whitney's girls." Edwards says the 'funds raised will go directly to Whitney to help cover final expenses, support time off from work, and give her space to heal without financial pressure.' 'Thank you for keeping Whitney and her girls in your hearts,' the family friend added. The girls were found dead on June 2 after authorities located their father's pickup truck near the Rock Island Campground in Chelan County, PEOPLE previously reported, citing police. Their father, 32-year-old Travis Decker, had not returned on time from a 'planned visitation' on May 30, leading the girls to being reported missing. Officials believe the girls most likely died by asphyxiation, according to a preliminary report filed with the Chelan County Superior Court, Fox 13 Seattle reported. While Travis has yet to be found, he is facing charges related to his daughters' deaths. Authorities have said he is wanted on charges of murder, kidnapping and custodial interference. "Travis, if you're listening, this is your opportunity to turn yourself in, do the right thing, do what you need to do and take accountability for your actions," Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison said at a press conference on June 3. Amid the ongoing manhunt for Travis, authorities have been asking the public to come forward with any information and have shared several photos of him. Travis is 5'8 with black hair and brown eyes, and the Chelan County Sheriff's Office previously described him as "dangerous" and said he "may be armed." The CCSO wrote in a press release shared on Saturday, June 7 that hundreds of law enforcement personnel are searching "dozens of structures and the forests" in the area. "We continue these search efforts, acting upon gathered information and tips from the public, and leads developed through even more search warrants," the sheriff's office said, adding that a local road was reopened after authorities found "no credible threat." However, Whitney's attorney, Arianna Cozart, believes Travis died by suicide, she told PEOPLE on Friday, June 6. The attorney added that although Travis, an Army veteran, struggled with mental health issues, he was a "present and active father up until the end." Police said in previous statement that Travis was 'homeless and living in his vehicle or at various hotels/motels or at campgrounds in the area.' They also noted that he had prior military experience. Days before the killings, Travis reportedly conducted online searches about how to move to Canada and allegedly searched a Canadian job site, according to a U.S. Marshals Service affidavit obtained by Fox 13 Seattle, The Independent and NBC Right Now. Authorities said they were worried that he was attempting to flee the U.S. into Canada. "The location of the victims' remains is relatively close to the Canadian border and approximately 11 miles from the Pacific Crest Trail, a well-established trail that leads directly to Canada," the affidavit states, per Fox 13 Seattle. Authorities are asking anyone who has seen Travis to call 911 immediately and do not attempt approach him. People can also call the CCSO tip line at 509-667-6845 or submit information to the tip line. Read the original article on People

'After the above-listed Google searches, he visited the site 'Find a job - A manhunt is currently underway for Decker, 32, who has not been seen since his daughters were found dead with plastic bags over their heads in Chelan County, Washington near his abandoned truck June 2. The former couple, Cozart noted, had been divorced for many years but maintained a friendly relationship as co-parents. During the hand-off, Cozart explained that Decker told his ex-wife he would bring their daughters back to her at 8 p.m. that day, as their custody agreement did not allow for overnight visits. When Decker did not show up at the allotted time, Whitney became worried and called him—but his phone went straight to voicemail. She called authorities later that night, according to an affidavit obtained by NBC News. Cozart told CNN that Decker had struggled with mental health issues, but said, 'He never displayed any sort of 'red flags' to Whitney." In an affidavit obtained by NBC News, Decker is described as a military veteran who is 'well versed in wilderness survival and capable of spending days or even weeks in the wilderness on his own and with very little equipment.' Triad elementary school students design their own monster plushies

GRAHAM, N.C. (WGHP) — Some Graham High School students are on a mission. They are set to deliver some pretty precious cargo to their next-door neighbors. The kindergarteners at North Graham Elementary School. The art classes at the two schools collaborated on a special project and their delivery was the end result. Kathryn Combs, the Art Teacher at North Graham Elementary, says it all started with a book the class read. 'We read a book called Love Monster,' she says. 'It talks about finding people that connect with you and love you for who you are. And so we decided to replicate the monsters from the book.' And so, they did! The students enjoyed drawing their own monsters, which helped to create the ultimate art project. According to Combs, 'We started out by using elements of art. Lines, shapes and colors and the kids drew different lines, shapes, colors, all the monsters, and we used colored pencils to color them in.' Then those drawings were given to the high school art students who were tasked with bringing them to life. Makayia Foust, a Graham High School senior, said it wasn't easy. 'The drawings were really like complex,' she said But it was a challenge they were willing to accept because it was also a learning opportunity. 'There's a lot of creative problem solving in it,' says Doctor O'Donnell, the Art Teacherat Graham High School. 'They have to sort of translate something that might be like a scribble into something that might turn into a pattern or a shape. Some of them, they just immediately sort of knew what they were going to do. Other ones they really had to think hard and do sketching and kind of figure out. You know, how am I going to actually turn this idea into something 3D? So yeah, just a lot of creative problem solving along the way.' But they worked together, and it ended up better than they could have Said Foust, 'It just really made me feel really good because children don't really get to see what they create really come to life. So, me being able to do that really just made me feel great. ' And you can tell the younger students loved the results. They were laughing and cheering when they were delivered. 'It was just a great way for our High school students, a lot of them who I taught years ago to connect with the current students that I teach and just it's a great role model,' said Combs. 'And to show that what you're doing in elementary art can continue in middle school and in high school.' O'Donnell agreed. 'I think for my students this means a lot because it's a chance for them to connect with younger students in their community who look up to them and to just spread joy to use visual art to spread joy to people.' Joy was abundant in the room when the plushies were delivered. Said O'Donnell, 'Just getting to see them hug in and smiling and being happy and making somebody else happy with their artwork is just priceless.' Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
